It's less likely to find a new Android phone with such a small display, since most new models available right now on the market are 5.0 inches and above. However, if you want a recommendation, you can try a Samsung Galaxy S3 mini or even an S4 mini. Those should be just fine.

I've used this unlocking service in the past, for both iPhones and Samsungs, and they were always very reliable. I'm talking about www.unlockunit.com, my service of choice for whenever a client with a locked phone comes to my shop.

In the meantime, I've found the solution myself. I've decided to use a third party unlocking service and after a bit of research I've came across www.unlockscope.com. It was their trustpilot reviews that convinced me. Code was around $40, if anybody is interested, and came in less than an hour.

Go for the Galaxy Tab, no questions asked. It's way superior, from all point of view, like specs and design.
