Oh,sorry about that. Well a lot of PCMs have said it all on this thread. The price varies, if you really want to do all the tests, then you should hold at least 5k or you could just bribe way through . I'm not so sure about the price though.

Finally o NYSC haf sent me message.....Its ok....less than 10hrs to printing of CUL. Hope we will haf Vigil 2day as we did on 21st Nov. 2016......Can't wait to hear that High Chiefojuju was sent to Sambisa, and Haychay Zam..........untill den.

I just wanna quickly say something.. Shortcuts may look very tempting and cool but may be quite dangerous in the long run.
We were asked to get a medical report showing fitness and ability to undergo the various activities in camp. This is the first time nysc is doing this and they know why they doing it. It is nice to take a quick route and get the medical stuff over with by just getting the certificate alone but the truth is, we are not decieving nysc, we are only decieving ourselves. Its our body not theirs. This is our opportunity to make sure that we don't take any underlying illness to camp. It's better to be safe than sorry. What happened with those 3 corpers should never happen again. So my advice is, try and Get your tests done, Get the medical certificate of fitness and have a hitch free camping experience. A word is a enough for the wise! My opinion though!

In addition to what aBbiie25 said, the medical report could also act as a two edge sword in the hands of the officials.
The first edge will give the nysc officials your health details/conditions which will in turn determine how you will be treated or dealt with in camp, so going with a valid medical report is important.
The seconds edge will be for those who will be posted to places where they never dreamt of and hence using health issues or condition as an excuse for redeployment will only hit a cul-de-sac because the medical report which you would have submitted will be saying you are 100% fine then why will you be saying that you are epileptic. so my candid advice is that you do the right thing and prepare for the worst.

I went to the General Hospital in Kaduna today. I budgeted about 2-3k with the hope of a miracle since someone already told me it's about 7k.

Surprisingly, the person in charge just told me to pay N500 to the cashier and come back with the receipt. It seemed like a joke at first. I eventually paid and took the receipt to her and she just filled the Medical Certificate, signed it and stamped.

My people, I literally ran out of the hospital in case she decides to change her mind.

So I went to the Abia state general hospital (cottage hospital) for the medical certificat./report and this is a run down of my expenses..

Card- 300
Basic tests including (urinalysis, genotype, and like 3 others I don't know) - 4000
Xray-5000
Medical certificate - 1000
They said I'll pay 3000 to sign the cert (this one wowed me)
Total - 13,300

I was actually referred to another lab for the X-ray.
Folks a full check up is expensive

As for d medical report ish, those dt may want to redeploy esp based on health grounds will v to b careful of d medical report u bring cos if u bring report dt u r ok then u v no excuse. Abi no b so?
