You said you use GTbank buy you got alert from Stanbic. Thats where your answer is.
The guy probably doctored the alert, forgetting u gave him your GTbank details (assuming you did)

Nah mehn... Some banks send sms alert to the receiver even if the receiver doesn't have acct with them...
The alert I got from stanbic is that kinda msg...

I'm still waiting for the guy to sort the issue with either his bank or Gtb sha ...

Gtb finally replied and said no such transaction has been made to my acct

So ya'll don't know there are banks that send transfer notifications to recipients even before the recipient gets alert from their bank. Sighs some of ya'll sef. Anyway chill till your alert finally shows up. But in case of next time some banks do send notification to the recipient so it is normal to get alert from Stanbic if that is the bank he sent from.
I am speaking from personal experience not assumptions.

A guy contacted me yesterday morning and said he wanted to buy Payoneer...
Talked and talked with me back and forth like we were pals till midnight before he finally agreed to send payment...

Fast forward to this morning when I woke up, I saw an alert from stanbic (note that my bank is Gtb), and from him saying he has sent payment and missed calls from him...

Checked my email alert, and online app, no traces of payment ...

No pending alert, nothing ...

He's been asking me to call my bank since morning but me don tire to dey waste my card as those bagga are just playing songs into my hear without picking it (why are these banks playing songs like mobile network providers when they know they can't do toll free customer care lines like mobile network providers...)

I don't think I can send him 225$ Payoneer if I don't see the funds he claimed to have sent ...

This isn't a scam issue from what I see...

The seller sent the funds but the funds got reverted ...
The seller is trying to make sure he verify all funds in his wallet before resending the Btc or refunding cash...

I guy contacted me also last night that a 73$ I sold to him has been reverted to me...
I checked my wallet and noticed increased in the funds i had but there was no way to be sure it was his funds that got reverted to me...

I just took him for his words and resent the Btc

Who has paypal funds and can checkout on eBay for me right away... 160$ involved
