The chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP)caretaker committee, Ahmed Makarfi has accused the embattled party chairman,Ali Modu Sheriff of creating Boko Haram.
Makarfi said Sheriff is known everywhere as a violent person, that is why the police withdrew his orderlies.

This is coming after Sheriff accused the caretaker committee chairman of hiring Fulani herdsmen to stop him from entering the PDP secretariat.
Makarfi said “Sheriff is the one known to have created Boko Haram, therefore, he is continuing in similar direction.

“I’m never known to be associated with violence. He made same malicious allegation before the former IGP and DG SSS which was disregarded as baseless. On the contrary, I was there and then given official additional security.”

Adding that The police had withdrawn all his security both in Maiduguri and Abuja because of his actions. He had to beg in front of all and after agreeing to take the path of peaceful resolution before they agreed to return some to him.

A surgeon has reportedly been dismissed after he mistakenly cut off a man’s testicle and tried to cover it up by telling the victim that the specimen was small.

Dr Marwan Farouk made the blunder during a surgery meant to repair a hernia and remove a cyst from his patient at the private BMI Chiltern Hospital in Buckinghamshire, london.

The reports reveal that Dr Farouk removed the entire right section of the patient’s testicle, asking the theatre staff to dispose of it, but refused to tell the victim.

On Wednesday, June 22, 2016, the medical Practitioners Tribunal Service ruled that Farouk had been misleading and dishonest, adding:

As an experienced surgeon, even on a cursory examination, you must have recognized the specimen for what it was.
This was a series of deliberate acts designed by you to cover up the fact you had made an error.

Dr Farouk reportedly ordered theatre staff to “chuck” the specimen or words to that effect, before he discarded it in the scraps bin.

To make matters worse, during a post-operative consultation with the patient whose identity has been withheld, on April 30, 2014, Dr Farouk attempted to cover his mistakes by telling him:

“You have a small right testicle but it won’t give you any problems.”
Dr Farouk reportedly admitted during the hearing that he had indeed removed the testicle.

A lecturer in the Theatre Arts Department of the College of Education Oju in Benue State has reportedly been murdered by his wife for cheating on her.
The victim, Godwin Abuul, reportedly went missing about two weeks ago in Gboko after he returned from the state owned college of education where he lectured and is alleged to have been killed by his wife.

A family source reveals to Vanguard that the father-of-two had revealed that he would be traveling to Katsina/Ala on a private visit, which was the last time he was heard from.

Abuul’s disappearance was reported to the police who began searching the entire state for him, which led to the arrest of a man who was spotted wearing the clothes the lecturer had last been seen in.

Upon further interrogation by the police in Gboko the young man reportedly disclosed the killing of the Abuul by his wife in connivance with her siblings.
The confession is reported to have led to the arrest of several culprits including the wife of the deceased by the police in Gboko.

The matter has now been transferred to the command headquarters in Makurdi for further investigations.
The undisclosed source also revealed, saying:

His wife has confessed all she knew about the matter to the Police. We learnt that she alleged that her brothers beat her husband up because he was involved in extra marital affairs, but not with the intention to kill him.

After killing him, they allegedly dumped his body in River Katsina/Ala and also went ahead to sell his Honda car to an innocent buyer for the sum of N650,000 and of that sum, the wife of the murdered lecturer was given the sum of N400, 000 as her share of the proceed.
“As I speak with you, the Police and local divers are still combing River Katsina/Ala to locate the remains of Goddy (the deceased) but we very much doubt if his remains would be seen, because the fishes must have feasted on it.”
