CrimeRe: Man Stabs Grandparents To Death Over Food Dispute by HelloWorld80011: 10:08am On Sep 27, 2025
ElevationD:
At 75 the man had a grandson of 30. At 65, the woman had a grandson of 30. Certainly the father of the evil young man should be approximately 48. Poverty festered in that home. The grandparents started having children at very tender ages and the father followed the same path. If looked into we will find that the murderer has a child of 10 or 12.

This food insecurity must be dealt with in the nation. Youths and joblessness must be dealt with. Drug abuse must be dealt with. Trump is dealing with that issue of drugs in his country. Leadership must stop this horrible looting of public resources, have mercy on themselves and the whole country and ensure a better country for all.
Best is to be patient and build a solid ground before bringing children into a world of scarce resources.

If only you know how much your failed country has played a vital role in limiting you brother.
When I was much younger, I used to believe everything is in my control and I can influence what I grow up to become.
Now I realised some things are beyond our control. Maybe it's the country, maybe it's the people themselves or maybe it's the opportunities that that are scarce, or maybe you have to beat the law to become successful.
I am starting to believe no one has ever become successful by following the laws of land.

Just Before I came online and opened this thread, I was thinking about my own life and how little the progress I had made since I graduated. I felt like I was fooling myself that God is helping me.
I was reminiscing about my university days and how my other friends must have been making strides.

Guess what, I am also 35.

I came online and immediately saw your thread. Something made me open it. I think this thread is a message to me.

I pray your brother finds comfort in his next journey. Sorry for the loss.

Going to a primary and secondary school isn't much of a determinant of how a person will excel.
But the most important question is, where do you work?
You must have a job to fit into the society

I don't think the people of Argentina are happy with him though. Recent Videos showed citizens throwing stuff at him, in the midst of his bodyguards, while campaigning.
That's why during campaigning, political office holders are adviced to maintain a reasonable distance from the crowd.

The President, Javier Gerardo Milei is actually being targeted by the former political party that was in power. People just don't leave their homes to campaign grounds to throw stones.
They are paid to do it
SportsWhat Is Happening In Argentina by HelloWorld80011(op): 11:31am On Aug 29, 2025
Recently, the media was awashed with news on the President of Argentina was stoned.

I think it's good to understand the background surrounding the current events.
Yes, Argentina is currently campaigning to elect senators and national deputies.

What happened is that the current president did not have a party, he was small, and he defeated a party that has been active in Argentina for years, and has imprisoned many of its members for corruption.

Now they are making his life impossible, they want to overthrow him, they are boycotting him everywhere.

Peronism is a left-wing conservative movement. Milei, the current president, is a libertarian and is changing the country a lot.
He eliminated unnecessary expenses and many fabricated political positions. He closed 13 ministries and more than 30 public organizations, saving more than 2 billion dollars a month.

All this is to reduce public spending, which was immense.
PoliticsRe: FG Defends Passport Price Hike To ₦100,000, ₦200,000 by HelloWorld80011: 10:46am On Aug 29, 2025
Wallade:
You will hardly see responsible, responsive and learned citizeds with reasonable economic power that would take up the Nigerian Immigration Service, Ministry of Interior and the Federal Government on this matter through litigation.

I did a research on the possible litigation and these are my findings:

Yes, citizens generally have the right to sue the federal government, but success in challenging a passport fee increase would depend on proving the increase was unlawful or arbitrary, such as if it violates a specific law, constitutional provision, or administrative procedure. The primary path to challenge such a decision would be through the Nigerian court system, likely involving a judicial review of the Minister of Interior's decision or an action against the Nigeria Immigration Service.
Factors for Success in a Lawsuit
Illegality:
You would need to show that the fee increase contravenes a specific law or regulation.
Violation of Procedure:
The government must follow proper procedures when changing fees. If they fail to do so, it could be grounds for a lawsuit.
Arbitrary and Capricious:
You might argue that the fee hike was made without a reasonable basis or proper justification, making it an arbitrary and capricious act.
Procedural Unfairness:
The process leading to the fee increase could be challenged if it lacked fairness or transparency.
How to Challenge a Fee Increase
1. Seek Legal Counsel:
An attorney specializing in administrative or constitutional law in Nigeria would be best positioned to advise on the viability of a lawsuit.
2. Gather Evidence:
You will need to collect all official documents, communications, and publications related to the fee increase, as well as the original fee schedule.
3. File a Suit in Court:
The lawsuit would likely be a form of judicial review, filed in the appropriate court to challenge the legality of the fee increase.
Considerations
Public Interest:
Courts sometimes consider the public interest when making decisions regarding government actions, but the primary focus remains on the legality and fairness of the decision.
Government's Justification:
The government's reasons for the increase will be considered. You would need to show why their justification is insufficient or unlawful.
In Summary
A lawsuit against the government is possible, but it must be based on a sound legal argument that the fee increase was implemented unlawfully or without proper justification. You should consult with a Nigerian legal expert to assess the strength of your potential case.
A lawsuit against the government is possible, but who will do it?
