stocktaker: . We are still celebrating tinubu victory here and we don't necessarily have to trek from Lagos to abuja to celebrate victory of an election because Asiwaju surppoters are more civilzed and matured may be ur House is dull because of hatred you have for Asiwaju my household is still in the mood of celebration so shut ur mouth up
kponkedenge: Majority of them indeed, yet there was no celebration anywhere in Nigeria when Tinubu was declared the winner, it was as if the whole country was in mourning.
When Buhari even won in 2015, the celebration was glaring to everyone.
Do you think if Peter Obi or Atiku were declared winners, everywhere would be dull the way it was when Tinubu was announced?
Let's just be honest with ourselves, Tinubu didn't win this election, he was forced upon Nigerians by INEC.
So because people didn't celebrate in your area that means they didn't celebrate at all? Should we even be judging the credibility of an election by post election celebrations.
Former Governor of Ekiti State, Ayodele Fayose, on Thursday insisted that the President-elect, Bola Tinubu won the 2023 presidential election. Fayose said the election that brought Tinubu was credible but might not be the best.
He spoke while appearing on Arise Television’s Morning Show. According to Fayose: “Tinubu won the election fair and swear. Is it possible that PDP might win the election, yes.
“But if it’s me, I will get lawyers and ensure that what God gave me, nobody takes it away.
“I was never secretly recorded and asked anybody to rig election.
“Atiku has always gone to court since I knew him, the election that brought Tinubu is credible but might not be the best. You can’t say it was Tinubu and Sanwo-Olu that killed the people that died during the election. The vote that made Tinubu win in Ekiti we brought it.”
President-elect Bola Tinubu on Tuesday night travelled out of the country to spend some time in Paris and London.
According to a statement by Tunde Rahman for the Office of the President-elect, the trip will enable Tinubu to rest and plan his transition programme ahead of his inauguration on May 29.
Rahman added that the President-elect will head to Saudi Arabia from Europe to partake in the Lesser Hajj and Ramadan fasting period.
The statement read in part, “The President-elect left the Murtala Mohammed International Airport, Ikeja, for Europe on Tuesday night. The President-elect decided to take a break after the hectic campaign and election season to rest in Paris and London, preparatory to going to Saudi Arabia for Umrah (Lesser Hajj) and the Ramadan fasting that begins Thursday.
“While away, the President-elect will also use the opportunity to plan his transition programme.”
“He is expected back in the country soon. We enjoin the media to stop publishing rumours and unsubstantiated claims and to always seek clarifications from our office.”
