why not swap with iPhone x or sell it and join money to buy the latest iPhones
.
True. . . But because I'm new on this whole Apple thing, I want to begin with a relatively low spec, hence my guys recommended I go for the iPhone 8 or 8 plus, as a beginner that I'm. . Since our elders say it's safer to test the depth of a river with just a leg.

I've always been a Samsung enthusiast; I've handled almost all their phone line-ups up on to Note 9. But now I use a Note 8, and I can almost say I've seen it all with Samsung, and I don' tire.

Lemme test Apple biko. Who has iPhone 8 or 8+ for swap. Who knows, i might end up becoming a die hard Apple fan.

My 2 months old Galaxy Note 8 is In perfect condition.

Literature / Did You Know How To "Eat" Cane by heternal: 1:56pm On Jun 07, 2018
If you ever secondary-schooled in Nigeria, then the gravel taste of pankere, koboko, bulala, belt and at unfortunate times wire served by our chalk-gladiators cannot be forgotten. “…spare the rod and spoil the child…” we often heard them say before the meals were served! At such black moments in the staff room we gasped for mercy that seldom came especially at times when a large faculty of teachers were seated in the staffroom awash in beer-parlor gossip…the book of life was opened for the unruly students, the innocent was not left out either!

As “Mr. X” begins to straighten his “head-correcting” tool the class rolls into pandemonium as the antelopes takes cover behind the gallant lions who have erstwhile won themselves the medal of “eating” cane without shaking, begging, crying or even moving.
We celebrated such bravery until we saw a few class-knights who assumed mastery in pankere eating, explode in tears when wire came visiting, their millipede had met uncle’s salt...they’d started valiant, absorbing the strokes with posh semblance, sometimes with their hands buried in their pockets, touting their lips arrogantly until their face and ego fell apart. Tears now pouring out without warning, his palm recklessly surfing his back, yet he refuses to beg Oga-teacher considering the prying eyes of the ubiquitous JSS1 students and the unruly tongue of the JSS3 girls, until Uncle's stroke finds it way to the senior's back just below his neck…The walls of Jericho would fall.

The then cosy and beautiful hens always clutch around the cane "dusting" Cocks with a host of junior students flocking around them as school-sons and daughters whilst the cry-cry seniors walked almost alone. When we the junior students clustered we argued about who gets the crown, we where always Wowed by such feats…

We were eventually blown away the day we saw a then SS2 guy, his name; Festus, absorb about 27 strokes from one of our Oga-na-master teachers without moving an inch off the stretcher he was strapped to, on the assembling ground. Silence prevailed on that cold morning, a little sob would crash his big-boyism reputation, canes where shredded to splinters, then changed. Slaps and spankings were featured yet senior Festus didn’t move….after the meal was over, he jumped off the four-footed wooden beast and bounced away. My joy as a JSS2 student knew no bounds…We clapped and cheered in our hearts, for the king had been found.

Unfortunately i was never such a brave cane-dusting senior. "Please Sir i will not do it again" wasn't far from my lips...I wish i was.

Literature / OYINBOriority Complex by heternal: 7:09am On May 21, 2018
When would our thinking in this part of the world outgrow pampers...if we must catwalk must it be on a slippery floor? Didn't they say it's the masqurede that dances beyond the borders of its accolades that gets into trouble? Just last week we heard of one yoruba girl that would not touch biscuit until fork and knife glues her palms...ahn ahn!!! Who has bewitched us? Could we be more catholic than the pope? I hear some "Big" boys and girls had even begun going the "Ching Chung un" way using the chinese sticks to eat rice, yam, eba and even pap... Are we not fast becoming who we're not? OYINBOriority Complex!

The awful sight of men in "Jollof rice and chicken" eateries with their forks and knives, sweating the ocean out in a bid to mete out justice on a grilled #1,000 chicken is rather disgusting, if the knife and the chicken would not corporate shouldn't we allow the teeth do it's bit, needless to mention that the same man would not spare the #250 meat from the Senescent food vendor downtown, he would chew, crack and even suck goodness and mercy out of the innocent creature, at such moments knives and forks. becomes the forgotten step child while the fingers takes the wheel...who then are we deceiving? OYINBOriority Complex!

Be real! No one ain't better because they are western or not...The same girl that frowned and raged when you came with fried potatoes wrapped in scintillating fried stew adorned with onions, buried in an old newspaper sheet is the same babae that would glow and glee in Love when you come with Frenchfries! Sadly they're the same!

Oooops!
Politics / An Open Letter To Mr President (PMB) by heternal: 5:21pm On Dec 23, 2017
An OPEN LETTER TO Muhammadu Buhari
(Buhari, buhari lama sabach thani)

Dear Mr President,

Your Excellency Sir. Garri, sugar and groundnut that used to be the lifeline for the poor in recent past has soon grown wings to the high heavens, now they cost a fortune to afford, even though the Aforementioned "balance diet" devoid of basic vitamins is not the desirable for many. What a pity! It's really disheartening to note that only 3 things are working amongst the colossal dysfunctionalities our society abhors, they are the Sun, the moon and the stars, we can only hope that Providence would not leave the keys of nature in the hands of our leaders for if it does, we might have to give our right eyes to dry our clothes...because the Sun would also call for a strike. Perhaps!

"Buhari is working", "Things are getting better", "A better Nigeria" are the several aphorisms that your media aids spills out without recourse to reality, who does that? It's almost impossible to nod in the affirmative to this assertions, for the faces of the Masses speaks for itself. Mr President Sir, we are not oblivious of your tenacity and rectitude in Nation building but regrettably the prices of Foodstuff in the market have stopped being humble, many cannot afford a 3 square meal as against the narrative in other countries that don't produce as much as we do. Shouldn't we be worried Sir? The evergreen pseudo-diamond policies and promises that brought in this administration seems not to have seen the light of the Day. Perhaps you owe us an explanation or an apology as the case may be.

The Already mammoth Goliath; Unemployment has grown taller again by 18.8% as said by the National Bureau of Statistics. Mr President there are no jobs except for a few elect, for "blessed are the children of the politicians for theirs are the kingdom of NNPC, Shell, Chevrons...". You advised the unemployed forayed into Entrepreneurship, we did! But for many we burnt our fingers. I for one ventured into an Agroallied startup that didn't see the light of the day courtesy of failed power supply, my hard-earned consumable products spoilt without appologies...Sir, in all sincerity we are not happy with you, for our hopes are fast losing oxygen, please disregard the faces that smile at you when you come visiting, it's a mere facade, they have selfies in mind.

Finally Your Excellency Sir, i suggest you go round town without the entourage and convoy accompanied with blaring noise and see things for yourself, the palpable discontent is visible to the blind, see how we queue for fuel, how we have to provide proof(s) to the SARS that we own our Kidneys...Americans would give all to afford a selfie with the gallant SWAT team during the Hurican harvey at Texas, the force-men meted out respect and courtesy to the people but here when we see our Ogas we all take cover, stray bullet comes to mind! Please sir rise to the occasion.

Me and my peeps need jobs, our parents have not been payed their salaries...enough of the FEC meetings where "oyinbo-grammar" are advertised, biko! I am not supporting any political party and I'm not interested in the sentiments, its a better society we all clamour for, enough of the policies devoid of change, for history wouldn't remember policy makers but change agents, perhaps a reason why many of our past leaders have not been accorded a portion in the part of history we are proud to reckon it, many are left in hhe garbage of oblivion and regrets. We still quote Abraham Lincoln up till tomorrow we can only hope that one day you will be worthy of our reference when societal change is discussed.
