no,if ur phone is nt rooted u can stil av most of d apps written above.my own D3 is not rooted n im enjoyin most of d applicstions like clean masterz, antivirus,swiftkeyboard,voice search mx player adobe reader. so it is not a must u root ur phone.

perrol,switch off ur phone.after dat press d volume keys up/down with d on key together. dont release until it display.den scroll down to resett by pressing d down botton n u press ur home key to select .zephiny.note all ur installed apps will b deleted.
