Dear Customer,

Effective today, the 1st of February, the Lagos state ban on bikes (okada) and tricycles takes effect on major Lagos roads. The rules were clear, dispatch bikes were exempted from this ban as long as the bikes are above 200cc, have a distpatch box attached and have all relevant documentation. - Swipe left � to see the quote from the SSA to the Lagos state government on New Media Mr Gawat.

Unfortunately as it is typical of implementation of laws in Nigeria, overzealous officials have arrested several bikes in the mainland today.

As a result of this, we will be rounding up deliveries for today. There is a likelihood that we will be closed for Monday just to ensure safety or our riders and to give enough time for the government to address this issue. The way and manner the arrest are being made is ridiculous and several accidents been reported. When bikes are arrested, riders are not even allowed to retrieve the parcels in their box which creates a bigger issue for the customers who own this items.

Luckily 90% of our deliveries for today has been done while those affected will be contacted. As we take a step back to watch this play out , we will update you all accordingly on how we chose to proceed as we have all relevant permits and documentation to carry on with business as usual.
