If their mission was that sensitive, they should have moved at the dead of the night to avoid obstructing other road users. What if he was a professor of medicine rushing to the theater to save a life. These arrogant fools should be called to order.

1.who was more arrogant,the Prof or the soldiers.The prof was arrogant cuz he thought "since I'm a Prof,I can overtake and nothing will happen to me".
2. YES THEIR MISSION IS MORE SENSITIVE AND IMPORTANT THAN THAT OF THE FOOLISH PROF BECAUSE IT INVOLVES LIVES DIRECTLY AND NATIONAL SECURITY.
3. Moving at night with such equipments only make them more vulnerable to attacks,
SOLDIERS ARE HUMANS,THEY HAVE FLESH AND BLOOD LIKE YOU.THEY HAVE FAMILIES, THEY FEAR DEATH ALSO BUT ARE COURAGEOUS ENOUGH NOT TO HIDE BEHIND THEIR KEYBOARDS AND TYPE RUBBISH IN TRYING TO SOUND SMART AND JUSTIFY STUPIDITY.

Why will a Prof. who ought to be very knowledgeable try to overtake a military convoy conveying sensitive equipment at this time.
The soldiers did the right thing to the best of their knowledge. They thought it could be suicide bombers or an attack on them.
Because he is a professor doesn't make him immune to suspicion.
we should leave sentiments apart,if you where a soldier risking your life for your country,and u find yourself in such a situation,what will you do?

U have no idea how much people from Edo state value and cherish their culture,heritage and tradition of which the Oba is the main symbol. Even the President cannot undermine the Oba of Benin.He is the most respected traditional ruler in the South south.He never leaves his palace to visit anyone,but all flock to him.
This is Africa,we cherish our heritage,customs and traditions like other countries in other parts of the world,e.g China,India,Japan,etc.
Even Great Britain still recognise the Queen and give full respect despite their Democratic government.
Yes some things about tradition might be bad but that doesn't mean it doesn't have its beauty and treasures in it.
