efe2real: Got admission both in 2010 and 2011 when Uniben medical licence was withdrawn. In 2010, Uniben first gave me admission into medicine, but due to their accreditation issues, I was transferred to Pharmacy. In 2011, I tried my luck again and got Optometry. I wrote DE in 2012 and didnt make it. This is my 4th DE (even though I am not proud to say it). Your state of origin (Deltans and Edos have added advantage) and your score are the most important criteria Uniben use in offering DE students admission. And by the Moyes, I made a 2.2 in my first degree.

Mr. Man, u are a stubborn man, but i love ur stubbornes, cos ur's has a purpose. Believe it or not, dis year ur case is settled in Jesus name.

My fellow nairalanders', i don't like d unfair discrimination melted @ Poly graduates. To me, i will like Hnd to be equated with B.sc for dis two reasons:
1. To reduce admission problem in dis country: D major reason why admission is difficult in d country today, is becos of d unfair discrimination melted to poly graduates, as everyone want to go thru university educatn at all cost.
2. Hnd holders' are as good as B.sc holders' in place of work. So, why d unfair treatment?

My broda, dat is how people speculate rumour. My score last yr was 48, most of my friends score was between 40 to 49, only one scored 53. Becos of dat most of dem did not come back dis yr. Because of d massive failure, only two people were admited in my Educatn dept last yr.What about people who scored 49 dis yr, did they subtract any mark?

Uniben did nt normalise dix year's score. Normalisation means subtracting a particular mark frm all scores. Last yr dy did normalisation dat ws y d scores were low. Medicine cut off last yr was 65. Except d mcb gal dat had fifty sumfin. I hv bin folowin pude since 2007. D cut of is always around 65. Bt nt below.am talkin of d years dy admitd for medicine o. Now if dy were to do nomalisatn dix yr lets say by subtractin 20 ,frm all scores. Den
86-20=66
84-20=64
69-20=49
59-20=39
now it wud b reasonable to say cut of cud b 65 wc is 85 in real score. Dy normaly do dix nomalisatn so dat 50 is truly d pas mark. In dix way candidates goin fr non profesional courses are very likely 2 b admitd wt 50. While 49 wunt b. Wile in d real sence its 70 n 69. It wunt realy mk sence denyin 69 admision. Bt normalisatn setles dat. So i dnt knw y dy didnt do dat dix yr. Now to medicine cut off. For d guys expect 65. Den mayb one of d hghest scoring lady wil folow. Mind u, uniben wil nt admit mordan 10. Tanks

My broda, i was a DE candidate last yr in Uniben, there was nothin lyk normalization or deduction of scores. D truth be told, last yr DE Questions was more difficult than dis yr's own.
Finally, irrespective of our scores, lets submit everything in prayers to our heavenly father.

I'm a graduate of uniben (microbiology) so I can't argue abt whether they take 2-2 candidates cos obviously I should know.
And every department has a cutt off mark..obviously if the cut off were 50 the school would have to shut down. 50 is the minimum requirement...the rest depends on the general performance of ppl applying to that department.

What they "did" or didn't do last year may or may not be applicable this year so just calm down...just be calm.....

My broda, before d ending of dis month, the SUBMITTED on d top of d slip will change to either ADMITTED or NOT ADMITTED. U will know d admission status by logging in d username & password, d way we checked d screening score. Again, if u still log into Jamb site with d reg no, u will also see d admissison status, there is nothin lyk pasting of admission names in sch.
Finally, what we all need now is prayer, whether ur score is high, average or low, ANYTHING can still happen, d race still continues. My God is in Control!
