The four months old strike action of the Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU), has been marred with so many drama, insinuations and uncertainty but finally we will get to know the final stand of the union after the last proposal from the federal government as regards the demands of the unions this Friday……….. “hopefully”.

After a wide-spread rumored NEC meeting last week. ASUU is expected to decide whether or not to suspend the indefinite strike it began four months ago.

It is however unclear if the NEC will still be held at the Bayero University, Kano where it was initially proposed to hold.

It is imminent that the four months old ASUU strike
will soon be called off and according to reports, it
could as well be called off next week as the the
different branches of the union meet to deliberate on the new offer made by the federal government.
