Yes, we can process them ourselves. There are a lot of illegal mining operations going on that are operated by Nigerians who have developed means to mine and refine these resources. Don’t be fooled that we can’t mine/process these items ourselves. Yes just because they were our colonial masters doesn’t mean they can’t own plants, but try ask yourself why these foreign mining/oil exploration companies are the biggest representation these colonial countries still have in our land. They use them to neocolonize Africa. Francophone countries in Africa are revolting because the time is up for France. France’s neocolonialist agenda is very evident and well documented in Francophone African countries

Nigeria also still pays colonial tax in the form of weird contracts with British and American oil/mining companies.
