Spain was a better team overall, and also ensured they defended well in the middle, marking Messi massively and choking the entire Arg team. Scaloni should have brought in at least 2 very agile players who could at least reduce the "choke" but as he doesn't have a good bench, the table turned against him. That's why I always say in life, have options. The dependence on Messi to score goals for them and create exceptional chances was too much. He's human and if he's choked, what else could he have done, especially when playing against a top-form team like Spain? I also hate it when Ronaldo fans say he is FIFA's boy. Today is your day to mock Messi, O fans of Ronaldo. It's painful. It's quite painful, especially with that red card. Don't mind them. I really missed Di Maria in that match though. The hatred for Messi has been their problem for decades. They shifted support till it reached Yamal as if Yamal and Messi are on the same level currently. What they don't understand is that Spain game plan to choke Messi really worked. Once he got the ball or was about being fed, at least 2 players were on him. The Arg coach saw that and should have come up with a better strategy before LM was sent off. Him being sent off totally collapsed Argentina, but as they didn't have a very young and agile bench, they were caged. It's painful but that's the truth.

When Nigeria played against a very versatile and fluid, and in fact, the best team in Africa, the Nigeria choked them till they had no shots on target in regulation is there for all to see. But because it is Messi,they will look for every reason to rejoice over the unfortunate situation so they can make their egocentric idol happy a bit.
