honourable1769:

well lets look at it from another dimension, an average student walks over 5000 outdoor steps every single day. Getting free #7500 for 2 months for just doing what you normally do is a win-win, beacause you would still walk the 5000 steps with or without the app, the only difference now is you are getting #7500 every 2 months or if you choose to save fro a year, by december you will have #45000 in your account just like that.

it might look little, but just remember those times you were almost in a financial box, an emergency #45000 could be all you need at that time to ease you off
what of stable internet connection? Cause i know you must have active internet connection before it will start counting your steps which inturn drains your data & battery quickly, i don't need to tell you the power outage we have in 9ja.
Business / Re: Get In Here Now If You Can Walk! (quickly Before It Ends). by iconix(m): 8:10pm On Sep 01, 2019
I just read a review of this sweatcoin online, someone said you must be outdoor before your steps will start counting and you are limited to 5 sweatcoins per day which is 5000 steps per day.

So you need to walk 5000 steps per day to make 5 sweatcoins and 300 sweatcoins is just $20.
To do the maths, 1 sweatcoin is equals to $0.07.
Therefore since you are limited to earn 5 sweatcoins per day, that is, if you can be able to take 5000 foot steps per day, you will be earning $0.35 per day.
So for you to earn $20 (N7,500), you need to take 5000 foot steps everyday for 60 days ( 2 months) which is 60, 000 foot steps.

To make N100,000 naira, you need to walk 5000 steps everyday for 2years 3months and 20days.

Phones / Phones With Portrait Cameras by iconix(m): 12:24pm On Aug 29, 2019
You want to get a smartphone and you want to be taking pictures with it in portrait mode, there is a simple answer to the question which phones have portrait mode.
So in this post you are going to see smartphones which has portrait mode and also a full definition of portrait mode.
There are many smartphones which has portrait mode they are :
Samsung galaxy s9

What is portrait mode in a phone

Portrait mode in smartphones means a picture which is taken with an effect of DSLR aka bookeh effect.
It means that an object on which Focus is taken will be visible and all the object except a focused one will be blured which gives you feel of DSLR.
Xiaomi mi A1 comes with a dual camera setup and the benefit of dual camera is that one lens is telephoto lens which helps in increasing the focal length of a picture from 26 mmm 250 mmm in the case of mi A1.
Portait mode can also be defined as a function of camera which is used to take pictures or photos of a single subject mainly where camera automatically uses a large aperture to help keeping the background out of focus by using a narrow depth-of-field so the subject being photographed is the only thing in Focus.
These days, almost all dual camera phones are offering dedicated portrait mode to give a DSLR kind of look to your Snaps and that's been liked by smartphone users who know it very well that carrying dslr with you all the time is not easy.

How does portrait mode works on a phone

According to imore, When you shoot in the Camera app's Portrait mode, you're framing an image as seen by your iPhone's 2x "telephoto" lens. But the wide-angle is also working for you: It automatically measures the difference in distance between what it sees and what the telephoto sees, creating a multi-point depth map.

This depth map is then used to create the most fun part of Portrait mode: artificial depth of field, which blurs both the background and foreground with various "bokeh" effects to create a DSLR-camera-like image. On the 8 Plus and later, you'll also use the depth map for Portrait Lighting (more on that below).

When in Portrait mode, you can only frame with the telephoto lens (there are no zoom options, digital or otherwise), but as of iOS 11, users have most other Camera app features available to them. That includes flash — and the Slow Sync flash feature in the iPhone 8 Plus and later — along with timed photos, filters, and HDR. You can't get Live Photos quite yet, but you can always record your iPhone's screen while in the Camera app if you really want a pseudo-live Portrait photo.

How to shoot portrait photo using a phone

Want to take a photo of someone in Portrait mode? Here's how you go about it.

Open the Camera app.
Swipe over to the Portrait setting.
Line up the shot you wish to take within 2-8 feet of your subject. The camera's face and body detection should automatically identify your subject.
Pay attention to the Camera app's prompts (either "More light required," "Flash may help," "Place subject within 8 feet," or "Move farther away."wink
Once you've met the camera's needs, you'll see the banner at the bottom (iPhone 8 Plus or later) or top (iPhone 7 Plus) turn yellow.

Note: You can still shoot with the telephoto lens in Portrait mode even if the banners don't turn yellow — it just means you won't get depth or lighting effects.

If you have an iPhone 8 Plus or later, you can swipe or tap on the cube icons above the shutter button to change your lighting effects.
Press the shutter button to take your photo.

Best portrait camera app for Android phones

If you are using Android phone which doesn't support portrait mode, you might want to know how you can use portrait mode on it, don't worry i will show you the best portrait camera apps you should use according to joyofandroid.

1. Instant bokeh

From the name of the app itself, Insta Bokeh lets users edit their photos with an instant out-of-focus result that can be blended with other fun effects.
Instah Bokeh is a simple and light app. It has four categories for different effects- romantic sky, tender night, dream world, and favorite text.
This app is completely free and easy-to-use. Therefore, this is a very good app for beginners. Plus, this app also lets users share their photos on Instagram and other social networks.

2. Snapseed

This app has gained a lot of good reviews. Snapseed has an Editor’s Choice badge, not because it’s developed by Google, but it does work amazing.
A lot of Instagram models use this app to transform their photos into stunning portrait images. It lets you edit your photos like a pro just using your smartphone. Although, you can’t capture images within the app. You will have to use saved images to edit.
Although this app may not be difficult for beginners, a lot of video tutorials are available on Youtube and they also have in-app blogs that’ll teach you how to use this app to turn your photos into stunning images like what Instagram models have in their profiles.

3. After focus

AfterFocus boasts about its before-and-after effects on edited photos through the app. If you want to achieve a DSLR-like result of your photos, then that’s what this app offer.
Users can choose between smart and manual method to select the focus area.
This app lets users select a focus area precisely and turn the whole photo into a more professional image. Generally, this app has four features- smart focus selection, background blur effect, filter effect, and easy-share.

4. Lightx

Compared to other apps, LightX also has something unique to bring to the table. This app lets users crop their photo freely and combine it with another photo.
LightX has a lot of features to offer too. It has a background photo changer, color splash effects, photo merging, pro image editing tools, blur photo editor, text-on-photo and many more.

5. Dslr camera blur background, bokeh effect photo

This app is billed as the “ultimate Blur effect app,” and it certainly has plenty to offer. It will give more professional results to your images as it includes numerous bokeh tools for photo blurring. You can easily select parts of the photo that you want to blur, simply by using your finger and touching, and the Blur picture editor has both manual point blur and auto blur filter effects. The blurriness seek bar enables you to adjust the level of blur, and the brush size can also be adjusted.

6. Google Camera

This is yet another option, and it’s Google’s standalone app of the one available on Nexus and Google Play Edition devices. The features are somewhat limited, but the ones on offer are effective, for example, Lens Blur. From the shoot mode screen, you’ll see the Lens Blur option, which offers a brief tutorial on how to capture bokeh effect photos. Other creative picture modes available are Photo Sphere offering a 360-degree field of vision for your pictures, while the Panorama mode enables high definition panoramic shots.

7. Camera zoom fx-free

Like some of the other chosen apps on our list, this is a more general Android photography app and has full Camera2 manual controls with RAW capture, multiple shooting modes, powerful settings (for ISO, shutter speed, exposure, speed, focus, and distance), and a full editing studio. Features include speedy burst mode, time lapse, collage maker, HDR Mode Pro, and voice activation, and among the best features are the hundreds of different effects including Bokeh, Retro, Holga, Iomo, Hipster, and Vignette.
The app also offers a camera widget and custom folders. The app is free to download and use, with free download packs such as camera props, shutter animations and more, although in-app purchases are necessary for some of the more advanced features.

Best smartphone for taking portrait shots

The best smartphone for taking portrait shots is the Google Pixel 3XL, when Google relaunched its mobile phones under the Pixel moniker, it was clear that most of their focus is was on the quality of the onboard cameras.
Quite simply, camera phones don't come any better than the Google Pixel 3, don't let the solo sensor fool you into thinking you will be short changed by the main rear camera, the photos it can take are nothing less than jaw dropping.
In fact, none of the specs are exactly ground breaking(12.2Mp, f/1.8 aperture) but trust me, when i tell you that i have not seen sharper, brighter more detailed images from any other camera phone.
I'm not saying it makes standalone cameras defunct, but unless you are a professional photographer, you won't need much more than what this smartphone will give you.
Of course, with the phone comes Google's integrated ecosystem, now that may be a plus or minus, depending on your perspective, but if you are already enveloped in Gmail, Google photos and the rest, then it makes sense to go for the Pixel 3 as well.
