Car Talk › Re: Toyota Gurus, Why Is The Toyota Gears Failing? by Idaytesj29(m): 1:51pm On Jun 21 |
Read my comment again, I was not comparing the Benz E350 with Avalon. Benz was not even in the discussion, you brought it in. Avalon and ES 350 is what we were discussing. ariesbull: You don't compare Avalon with Benz E Klasse... I will not argue this with you... If you have driven a Benz you will know
You can express that as an opinion without overstating it:
> In my opinion, the Mercedes-Benz E-Class is in a different league from the Toyota Avalon when it comes to prestige and social perception, especially in Nigeria. While the Avalon is widely respected as a comfortable, reliable car for long-distance travel and everyday use, the E-Class carries a level of status that few sedans can match.
Part of that comes from how Mercedes-Benz has been viewed for generations. In Nigeria, owning a Benz is often seen as a symbol of success, progress, and achievement. Whether at business meetings, social events, or family gatherings, an E-Class tends to command attention and respect in a way that an Avalon usually does not.
The E-Class also offers a more premium experience. From its refined engines and solid build quality to luxury features such as advanced driver-assistance systems, ambient lighting, memory seats, premium materials, and superior ride comfort, it feels like a car designed to reward its owner. The Avalon is comfortable and dependable, but its main strength is practicality rather than prestige.
Another difference is image. The Avalon is often viewed as a sensible utility sedan—a car that excels at carrying people comfortably over long distances with minimal hassle. The E-Class, on the other hand, is seen as an executive vehicle. It combines comfort, performance, technology, and luxury in a way that reflects a higher social status.
That is why many Nigerians who can afford either vehicle still aspire to own an E-Class. The Avalon is appreciated for what it does, but the E-Class is admired for what it represents: luxury, accomplishment, and a long-standing reputation that continues to carry weight across the country. |

We are comparing Avalon to ES 350 Lexus which are both in same class. I'm not sure the Mercedes-Benz E350 is in same class with Avalon. Benz should be higher in class. I still stand that being long does not devalue the Avalon. You may not like it, we all can't like same thing, that's the essence of varieties. Avalon is still a gem in value and quality. Avalon any day ariesbull: No dey argue sir
Avalon Na Long John
Here’s a quick, punchy comparison: Mercedes E350 (E-Class): about 194.9 in long, wider and with a longer wheelbase Toyota Avalon: about 196 in long, so slightly longer overall The Avalon is a touch longer, but the E350 is wider and has a longer wheelbase, which usually means a more spacious, stable-feeling cabin even though it’s slightly shorter. |

Every nationalities can be found in prison. If they do the crime, they should do the time.
If I million Nigeria or SA or Ghanian do crime, they should do the time.
And these people in your picture are not free, they are being sent to Nigerian prisons to complete their sentences.
So, what's your point exactly?
Your SA prisons, do you import criminals from Botswana to see term there, are they not your Zulu brothers in there in your kuvukiland jails? |

An SA woman was arrested in Sierra Loene for drug trafficking, does that make you a drug peddlers? Does that warrant sending all SA people in Freetown away? That's where you guys gets it wrong. If they do drugs, arrest them and jail them. Don't be looting shops, burning people, axing people on the street commiting murder to make a point. Why Please? Imindmybusiness: If they are both V6, you're basically buying the same car. Avalon can only have few added stuffs for luxury but not necessity. I prefer Avalon but not the newer ones. No Avalon can ever be better than 2011/2012 models, especially 2012. |

Narrow roads, you are probably people who think only lagos has roads McLizbae: Drive Avalon in some old southwestern cities (eg Ilesa, iwo, ife, Ado, some corners of Akure, and ondo town,) with narrow roads+busy traffic+plenty Okada and keke, and then you will understand that what tat dude is talking about has nothing to do with heights. |

So, in your mind, you think every Nigerian is a doing those rubbish? You have to even question your country why only the lows from Nigeria comes to your country. A upright, brilliant Nigerian will go to the US, UK , Australia, Canada New Zealand, Holland , Norway Finland Denmark etc than come to SA and if they do it for higher education after which they leave for the West. Or return home to add value. But you constantly attract our drug peddlers, corrupt unethical mugus and lowlifes who are smarter than you security and immigration system and managers. are they also invisible to your police who refused to or don't know drug peddlers when they see one be it a Nigeria or Zimbabwean to arrest and prosecute? SA also has blame. RandDigital: But you're taboo in SA - fraudsters, drug dealers, corrupt, unethical. Not sure about your "100 times over" - delusions.

There is nothing wrong with an Avalon, including size. It's just an ES350 with a Toyota badge. It's practically same thing. ariesbull: lol
Madness says who! Avalon and E 350 is same size...it is like Avalon is even longer than E 350 that is why they call Avalon (Long John ) and no secondhand value ....na Chief and Baale car
Are you a Baale that sells land ? Good lock with that car ! That car transmission na like 700k and engine (V6 2GR Toyota engine ) is about 800k |

Actually, there is nothing wrong with owing an Avalon. He will enjoy it. He should just up his Avalon Year a bit, probably to 2006 model. sultaan: Does your fist have to be a Toyota? You can always get a civic which is affordable under most conditions.
Avalon is the cheapest Toyota in Nigeria now apart from the Sequoia, 4Runner,and Land Cruiser because those use more fuel.
This is big eyes small stomach.
The first thing is to ask yourself why the owner wants to get ride of a good car like that? If you think logically you know you can't afford to own it |

Can a Sienna be converted? Can the biggest cylinder fit into it's boot? how much? Lastly, is there any side effects to watch out for especially for very long distance drivers? tojahh: For the sake of clarity again I would like to state that.
1. Before any car is converted, it must be checked and certified good to go. It doesn't necessarily has to be because of the engine there are other astetics to check which includes wiring placement, previous overheating issues, booth space.(One of us here were turned down last week because of lack of booth space as regards his booth space being small for the type of cylinder he actually wants) 2. CNG doesn't stop the use of fuel just in case you're scared of any harm to your engines and wiring. (Tho some Oversabi actually locks their fuel line after installing) 3. There's actually more better plugs for CNG converted cars just in an instance the car plugs aren't igniting enough spark. 4. It is advisable to always have at 15Ltrs of fuel in your tank at anytime because you'll need fuel to lubricate your engine system as CNG is dry air thus it can not do what fuel will do in terms of acceleration. 5. CNG has high cleaner emissions, and ability to extend engine lifespan. it provides a more stable and cost-effective alternative to volatile petrol prices.
I can't go on with these as your pockets will advise you better. Yes it might be expensive from the surface but when you calculate what you spend on fuel monthly... You'll realize you most likely had used more that the conversion amount on fuel on just one month alone.
We're still open for conversion, maintenance and repairs. We've been tested a whole lot of time and has always been thorough with our client expected outcome.
After the race... We count the miles! |
