mesoprogress: "it's because you didn't allow them freehand. It's all your fault and failure! Yorubas supported and gave you Osinbajo hoping he will run the government like Idiagbo. It was a terrible mistake they will regret for a long time. " Lets not make a mistake here, Prof Osinbajo is a brilliant person in his right as a lawyer, but dont get it twisted Prof is not an economist nor does he have the acumen to run the economy. Emotions aside What I think the problem is every part of the FG is running in silos, every one is all their own corner working in isolation with no cohesion How can you have an economic team that does not include the Private Sector down to the Small Medium Enterprise levels.. to feel the pulse of the nation All this Government has been doing is fire fighting and thorough thinking of issue. You call the same set of Governors who cannot even raise basic IGR for their respective states for Economic meetings in isolation of the real people on the streets How does that work? Go anywhere in the world Economic Drivers are the SME's Back to President Buhari.... he's not trusting in natural nature and also he's feared so most of his team are working with hand brakes on and in fear Another issue is too many meetings with no agenda or tail, just slides and talk talk talk. Majority have no direction and blueprint of what they set out to achieve God help us year 1 gone |
WebSurfer:I grew up knowing him very well, he was one of the military peeps who put back the hands of the technology clock in Nigeria He looted as well Married the popular very pretty news and media lady who came from Old Western State to Oyo State. 007Gbenga:Spot on and well said in a nut shell |
007Gbenga:At all everyone seems to be missing the point. This is simply Politicians creating an avenue to make money and raise funds through rent seeking ways, the left the FX policy wide for over a year to make them round trippers and powerful contributors to 2019 make money while they did as if they were not aware. Even a secondary school Economics student know the FX policy was open to abuse, CBN and the powers that be left that window open to make money for the rent seekers and opportunists who in turn will look after them. It's just too glaring These people are very very very wicked, just like they are using the fuel price increase to take money of the common man to pay the marketers. Don't be fooled my people they knew what they were doing all the while. Do you know what Dangote, Danjuma and the so called big guns have been doing with cheap FX bought at Bank Rates for the last 1 year. Just calculate the profit made and you will weep for this country . See how they quietly introduced this in quote devaluation even after they, Vp and FG denied it a few weeks ago and even the smallest blog on line reported devaluation was on the cards. May GOD punish these POLITHIEFCIANS steering the rudderless ship called Nigeria. Their generations will suffer for this in Jesus name . Amen WICKED LOT THEY ARE BOTH APC AND PDP |
moffat:It just need to be put to work, what a waste of time to get the VP to launch theses, in serious and civilised countries, they just get to work right away. I wonder why we give accolades for what's meant to be the basic dividends of democracy, we've bn so starved if they fill pot holes for us we clap and hail them #which way Nigeria |
papadee93:This got me in stitches one of the funniest lines I've ever read on here.A begggi Onyinye arrest me too as well ooooo. I don't even want bail. If my wife comes ask for surety and 500 million Naira That way I will be in your jail forever oooo |
timunstopable:Agreed . Totally right |
egwekwe:It's the Bigger Boys and players money in UBA plus Tony as the guy person in charge . No bank is pure in the entire Nigeria. |
ideylaff:I repeat the entire leadership team is busy with trial and error. They need more than prayers, talking, round table and seminars God help us all They need to be more open . I'm not comfortable with an economic team full off state Governors who cannot even manage their states to generate IGR The economic team is not feeling the pulse of every sector of the country. Corporates, SME, markets and all the ecosystem, they need to work in UNISON God help Nigeria |
Well done Linda as long as it's not for your ego but to glorify what God laid on your heart to empower people. Linda last observation for a million dollar house with no massive open space for lunch for 12 plus people you need to as PM for a discount. Unless you have a bigger dinning area oooo as you can see the chairs are practically scraping the walls and there is no room to move around the chairs . Looks like a one in one out set up #constructiontips #classyhomessetuptips #welldonelinda |
LadyExcellency:Prof is a lawyer. He has never run a set up like this before , let's stop getting emotional he knows jack about the economy as well Also our Finance minister is an accountant hence all we hear from her is TSA and Ghost workers. Dam that won't drive the economy EmefIOLE is just a glorified Community bank manager running the CBN who has ended up been Aliko Dangotes puppet openly with no shame. We are in for an economic ride in a rudderless ship in my opinion ![]() |
Eagul:Victor Anichebe the footballer. About 8 months together now |
lielbree:Spot on. Shame on FORTE OIL who could not Man up to dump one linked to weed What's the point of the meeting |
ideylaff:The FX policy is so full of holes and flaws that even my 10 year old keeps saying dad this is so exploitable for people to make money through the back door. That is exactly what the FG is turning a blind eye to on purpose while Dangote, banks and the big sorts make money to stock up and save for re election time. So bad even the banks use black market rate for ATM transactions abroad when it's clearly illegal Day. Light robbery in the midst off this anti corruption mantra Lord help us all |
NavierStokes:I am and supported Buhari all through, but their tone changed soon as they got power. Don't be deceived they used the FX issue to raise and stock up funds for reelection as they cannot steal like GEJ did so they are using the process to look after a selected few who will in return look after them. Just look how many turn arounds and lies Kachukwu has been involved in 1 they said refineries are bn. Fixed 2. They said modular refinery is the best option 3 they said it now cheaper to import 4, All of a sudden they are saying anybody can import now. Bla bla In the middle of all these mix ups and lies+story telling some people are making money on FX AND NNPC Issuess I can see through them |
Apelex:We need to look Inwards to our problems. We are still in the same mess since 1966 Show me where the white man has come to move money out of Nigeria. Cameron’s dad did nothing illegal or corrupt in moving some of his assets abroad. Denying it or choosing to be offended when it is pointed out doesn’t change that reality. "I de tell you Yes, Nigeria is fantastically corrupt and it is not Cameron's original statement. It is Buhari's original statement. And it is very correct. Tell me that you do not feel so about schools organizing for their children to cheat through WAEC, or lecturers demanding sex for points from female students, of parents buying admission and grades in universities, or cash payment for employment. What do you feel when you watch that policeman receive money from the hackney cab driver in front of you and shoves it quickly into his pocket, waving you to pass because you are a witness? In which facet of national life today do we not see fantastic corruption? How many criminals are honorable men in chambers of our legislature? Some of the cases that on going probes have turned up are bizarre, and make us laugh a cry - don't you feel like throwing up when you see that men who ought to have offered counsel to President Good luck Jonathan to buy weapons for the war on Boko Haram turned round instead to collect and share money meant for purchase of arms? And even as we talk, foreign donors have audited donations of $3.8m dollars meant to fight HIV and related radical infections like TB and have come with the damning conclusion that Nigerians stole the money corruptly? Our justice system keeps high profile corruption suspects out of prison by technicalities purchased with cash, and the poor go to prison for a stolen bowl of soup, where they meet suspects who serve terms awaiting trial - or are unable to meet bail conditions? No, say it loud. Nigeria IS fantastically corrupt. We only need to admit it and change. It needs not be so. Written by Timawus Mathias" |

Dunexxx:Why do we have so many uncouth and unrefined people on public fora these days. Where in my post did I speak to anyone in the manner you spoke to me or replied my post . I won't trade words with you. If one wrestles with a pig in the mud there won't be any difference I rest my case. |
Dunexxx:Lol. There is a likeable chance if her dad wants to do money party and he pays for JayZ and Beyoncé to play for him. Lol On a more serious note think her dad is worth more than both JayZ and Beyoncé z combined income. Just bn funny though, not that it matters, Temi is an up and coming fashion blogger with a slant towards African print and culture. She will go places even without her dads money |
