Ayavalik in the Province of balikesir woke up Friday to a severe storm that paralyzed both on land and sea.

The severe storm that started around 6am caused serious material damage in the district. Large cruise boats and shipping boats collapsed and sank, roofs of buildings were blown away, so many windows of Homes were broken. About 20 boats were said to have sunk.
