Display and Camera

If the 5.5-inch display on the Hot Note does not provide enough screen estate for your needs, you are likely to find the new Infinix Note 2, a chic and eye-catching device, captivating with its massive screen measuring 6 inches diagonally.

The screen resolution hasn’t yet been revealed, but it is likely to be HD since Infinix is one of those manufacturers pushing out budget offerings, which often require making a bit of concession here and there.

Infinix Note 2 packs a more powerful 13-megapixel rear camera – an upgrade on the Hot Note’s 8 megapixels – for superior, more colourful pictures. It is not yet clear if the selfie snapper has received a boost as well.
Miscellaneous Specs and Features

One of the Infinix Hot Note’s claims to fame was its amazing battery life; the Infinix Note 2 looks ready to continue along the same line. The new smartphone also uses a 4000mAh battery – probably based on Lithium-Polymer technology as well – with a promise of two-day battery life.

The large juicer supports fast charging technology to enable you get up to eight hours of use in just 15 minutes of charging.

Infinix Note 2 will run on newer Android 5.1 Lollipop operating system, compared to the Android 4.4 KitKat software used on its predecessor. Full hardware details of the phone have yet to be made available at this time.

But it may be right to expect at least the octa-core processor, 1GB RAM and 16GB onboard storage that came with the Infinix Hot Note.
Pricing and availability

Infinix Note 2 is not yet available in Nigeria, it is expected to launch during the Black Friday Sale exclusive to Jumia. We currently have no data on pricing. When available, Infinix Note 2 Price in Nigeria is expected to range between 27,000 to 37,000 Naira at launch, depending on your location in the country.

For some couple of weeks now, we have constantly been fed with news relating to the latest android operating system which is the 6.0 marshmallow. Infinix in a leak press release we sorta shared yesterday, said the infinix hot 2 x510 phone will be getting the marshmallow upgrade before the end of January.

An excerpt from the press release reads thus:

Software speaking, HOT 2 is coming with the latest operating system in the market, Android Lollipop 5.1. As technology is moving fast, Infinix is following. The smartphone also manages your power and data usage. The device will receive an automatic and free update of Android Marshmallow 6.0 before the end of January 2016

While it’s not totally impossible for an android One phone in Africa to get the new marshmallow upgrade so soon owing to the fact that some android one phones in Bangladash and India has been reported to have received the new 6.0 marshmallow upgrade via OTA, you may want to take this news with a pinch of salt.

The reason for this is because although infinix promised some phones will be getting the android 5.1 lollipop in August, public betas were released sometime in July and beta updates in August with final versions for some specified models released in September.

Since the infinix hot 2 is an android one smartphone and Google promised 2 years of free upgrade on the device, update should be rolled out via Over The Air (OTA) and not having to flash like in the case android 5.1 lollipop on other few infinix devices.

for those of you planning to switch to this new phone, i indulge you to pls wait till this new problem is solved please.
I bought my new phone from 3chub on Saturday(12/12/2015). After I got home that faithful day, I started to observe some anomalies on the phone, like.....
1. it automatically switches to home page by itself, even when I'm tasking it.
2. it corrupts my pictures on it's own. like it can just select some pictures on it own and would write cannot generate thumbnail on them.
I have tried changing the memory card for at least the 3rd time now but yet all to no use.

I visited carlcare today, and they told me they can't help me because the phone is a new phone and the software is not available yet.
.
I'm planning on returning it today to where I bought it, but I don't know if they would replace it or still have to refer me back to carlcare. Guys please advise me here... thanks
