Many a time, we are attacked with depressing thoughts mostly when alone in our rooms, these thoughts spirals and snow balls and becomes big, causing this heaviness of heart and a very depressing mood. These are signs of attacks by the enemy, NOTE! they are not your thoughts, for you can't fight and condemn yourself, it's so subtle and real that you mistake it for your voice, the Devil makes it that way, so you can think you are having a moment alone with your thoughts coming to mind.

Now how can you come out of this, you do by having the word of God rich in your hearts. This is the ONLY counter measure, you can use against the Satan and his evil spirits, you fight off every single thought with God's words and promises.

When the Devil tempted Our Lord Jesus Christ, He fought him off with it is written -the word of God.

Now let's have a practical example;

The enemy attacks: "oh no, I won't make it, I won't come out of this situation, I am finished, God where are you"?

Counter measure: " God said He will be with us always, He knew me, even before I was born, He said Behold He will do a new thing, He also said the thought He has for us are good and not evil to give us an expected end, then He said again I am a conqueror through Christ Jesus, for many are the afflictions of the righteous, the Lord will deliver them from them all, and He said i am the righteous of God through Christ Jesus"

When you repeat this words, you make them your anchor and watch peace flow into you. This is how you fight off depressing thoughts caused by the enemy.

STUDY THE WORD, AND MAKE IT YOUR WEAPON BROTHER/SISTER

The Lord bless you
and keep you;

the Lord make his face shine on you
and be gracious to you; the Lord turn his face toward you

and give you peace.”’

Lord Jesus, I am asking You now, come into my heart. Live Your life in me and through me. I repent of my sins and surrender myself totally and completely to You. Heavenly Father, by faith I now confess Jesus Christ as my new Lord and from this day forward, I dedicate my life to serving Him.

If you sincerely said the above prayers, congratulations 🎉 dear brother/Sister, welcome to the Body of Christ. Please do locate a local Bible believing Church near you for more and proper Discipleship and most importantly dig deep and study the word of God, I recommend you start from the book of John in the new testament and work your way to the entire Gospels of our Lord Jesus Christ. May the Holy spirit open your eyes to understand and give you wisdom. Amen.
