LiteratureRe: There And Back On Time (Nairaland Best Story of all Time) by Ikelips(f):
Chapter 36

The next morning i went into the kitchen to look for my garri. Behold my sack was gone. I could not believe it. I screamed the devil is a liar. But who could do this to me? I had become the biggest garri dealer in the village and i had many enemies. It could only be my biggest competitor, the alhaji wanna be. You cannot outsmart your master. I had to teach him a lesson. I went to Ikeji to buy 5 more bags of garri. Since they were 50kgs. I could not use okada. I paid a taxi and he took me to my uncle's place. I decided to keep my bags of garri there because they would be safe there. I promise him and his wife 25kgs if they made sure my bags were safe.

They lived 3 blocks from me so i walked home from their house. I got into my room and i boiled a cup of tea. It was time to teach this alhaji wanna be a lesson. No one steals my goods and gets away with it scot free. I went outside i found a couple of boys playing soccer on an open ground. It was entertaining to watch. I watched it until the boys got into fight over one of the strikers who was offside. This big boy was given a good beat down buy a boy who was almost half his size. Everyone just watched and no one tried to stop the until the big boy's mother came running holding a big machete to break the fight. I thought this orobo just had to spoil the fun. Thats was how the soccer game ended.
The orobo dragged her son by the ear back home. I decided to follow them. I thought to myself this could be the perfect guy to help me plot against my enemy. Nonso was going to pay for what he did to my garri. I caught up wit the orobo who was dragging her son by the ear i said to her.

"Ma can i please talk to your son"

She gave me this disgusted look and she started swearing at me in a dialect i could not understand. The son tried to calm her down but she hit with the machete she was holding. Luckily she used the side of the machete otherwise it was going to slice her son in half. I just stood there in shock. I could not believe this mad woman. She dey craze? I went and held her back and i told her i wanted to talk to her about getting her son a job and staying out of trouble. She looked like someone who was struggling to take her family. The clothes she wore looked old and the son was wearing a torn shirt.
She calmed down and asked me what kind of job i could offer her son. I told her that she could transport my garri for me to other cities and in return he would receive a reasonable pay plus a 50kg of garri every month. She hesitated at first, but after convincing her it would keep her son off the streets she eventually agreed. She warned me not to use her son to transport drugs because if i did, her babalawo would deal with me. I wondered to myself, but why didn't she use the same babalawo to make money so she could buy more appropriate clothes?

This is one thing that has always confused me about people who are into black magic. They give up so much and they never get what they expect before it back fires. I remember an uncle of mine back in my village. He used juju so that his sons would not marry. He wanted them to work and send him money. If they didn't have families to take care of, it meant that they would have more than enough to send to him to get what he wanted. Funny enough, his sons never married but neither were they able to keep jobs. They made women all over pregnant.
They ended up spending more on their illegitimate children and less on this poor man. He confessed to everything when he taught he was about to die. You know people who keep the big secrets to the death bed. Unfortunately he did not die soon after confessing.
He eventually got better. All of his sons cut contact with him. Out of the 5 sons 2 of them married. The oldest moved in with a woman who had 3 children for him but they never got married. One moved to Thailand he got caught up in drug trafficking and he got caught and killed. They tried getting his body sent back to Nigeria, but it was to no avail. 3 months had passed and they were pretty sure he had been cremated and his ashes where thrown away. That was the end of Temi. He was never given any respects. He just faded away like dust.

The youngest moved to Lagos and became a yahoo boy. I wanted to raise enough money to go overseas to start a new life there. I guess he got caught up in the fun Lagos had to offer, after 3years he was still in Nigeria. One of the villagers passed rumors that he was lying to people that his father was abroad and he would soon join him. Meanwhile his father walking looking half dead in Sagamu.

Uncle suffered a stroke, he is still alive, but after seeing him sometimes you would think that it would have been better if he was dead. None of his sons wanted anything to do with him. One of the son's wife used to send someone to the village with groceries and she paid someone to take care of him. The husband did not know about it but everyone else did. Evil always fires back evil.

I took this big boy who introduced himself as Solo. I told him about my offered but he had to do something for me before i could trust him with my goods. Take down Nonso and his business. He had to go to Nonso's compound and pour a bucket of urine on all his bags of garri that he had kept in a storage room. Solo was not comfortable with it at first. I promised to deal with the guy that humiliated him at the ground earlier. After thinking about it, he eventually agreed. I told him to drink a lot of water and pee in a bucket, he had to use the same urine to pour it on the garri. He became enthusiastic about it. I told him that i would meet him in the evening with the address.

At 7pm he met me behind an abandoned house people swore was haunted. Some even said they saw fire in the shape of a human being dancing around that place after midnight. Some said they heard chanting coming out of the house. Some said they saw goblins there playing football using their own heads. I was not a superstitious person so i believed all of it me nonsense. We made the plans and agreed on how he would execute it. Just before we left the house i heard a woman moaning and the sound was coming put of the abandoned house.
She sounded she was moaning in pleasure. We either had to run away because of the stories we heard about the house or we had to go inside to see what was going on in the house. Out of curiosity Solo and i decided to sneak into the house to se what was going on. We went round to the entrance and the door was open. We entered the house and as we walked close to the room where the sound was coming from my manhood was slowly rising to the moans this woman was making. It was getting me excited. I didnt know what to expect.
