I got a UK visa last week.
It’s an evisa now. You will have to download one UK immigration ID check app. Unlike the sticker visa I got 2 years, the only thing i have as evidence of approval is the Email notification and a share code i generated after ID check.
Still wondering how traveling with it will look like |

The igbos did the same for Jonathan so it is not about tribalism…. If 90% of south east voting for just one person is not tribalism. How then do your people convince themselves that south west where people voted differently are tribalistic ?

One was doing count down on his page, reminding the whole world how Nigeria had failed to rescue those kids. The very day they were rescued, he called the whole thing fake. Like how do people hate their country so much that they are not even trying to beat the allegations ?

MemphitzDgreat1: In November 2020, a US citizen was kidnapped IN NIGERIA but was rescued WITHIN 96 HOURS by the US government. Trump was the president and despite the achievement, Americans still slammed him for rejoicing over something they believed should never have happened in the first instance. That's the American mentality that does not settle for less and it explains why they are a leading country in many ways. In Nigeria, it took Tinubu who earns billions of naira as president, over 55 days to rescue Nigerian children and adults kidnapped WITHIN NIGERIA and their supporters say we must rejoice and celebrate the president and the army for doing a "world class job'. That's another kind of mentality which explains why Nigeria is not progressing very well as a nation. But when you talk amd ask questions, these APC data boys will say "you are bitter". Pack your bags and move to America nah. Someone has laid a curse on you people to forever be unhappy. I know opposition must oppose but this thing that you guys are doing is not opposition. |

Politics › Re: Obi Must Apologize To Airport Staff And Pay The Fine For Wrong Parking — Keyamo by ILoveNG: 2:37am On Jul 11*. Modified: 3:29am On Jul 11 |
Beautifulday: Obi's driver parked. Obi came down and entered the airport. The driver came down and entered two.
Was Obi the driver? Exactly, it was Obi’s Driver that was at fault. Even uber drivers that are familiar with airport procedures know that you can not leave the car as a driver if you’re directly in front of the terminal (departure or arrival). You have to go the designated parking lot to park and pay the appropriate parking fee. The driver leaving the car directly in front of the terminal is an offense. If it were to be a common man, I can bet with you that he will never be motivated to drive the car to the airport again. Those security boys are not really interested in who owns the car, they are always happy and eager to see offenders. You will pay them. If you didn’t show up early they can still tow your vehicle to another location. So Obi was lucky enough to get away with it in no time. He then came on national TV to cry persecution and victimization. Very unwise and stvpid. He should go back to face what common Nigerians are facing and tender an apology to those boys for not stressing him and not collecting a dime from him. |

Foreign Affairs › Burkina Faso Moves To Block Unauthorized Study Abroad by ILoveNG(op): 4:32pm On Jun 30 |
Burkina Faso has introduced a new requirement compelling all students seeking to pursue higher education abroad to obtain prior authorization from the Ministry of Higher Education, marking the latest step in the country's broader effort to bring education more closely in line with the priorities of its military-led government. Burkina Faso now requires all students seeking higher education abroad to obtain prior Permission from the Ministry of Higher Education.
The government says this measure is to align overseas academic training with national development priorities and improve labor market reintegration.
The new policy adds an administrative layer for thousands of students, particularly those heading to popular destinations like France.
It follows other reforms like a mandatory 'patriotic immersion' program for new university students and the suspension of a major student union.
The decree, adopted during a Council of Ministers meeting, applies to all Burkinabè students intending to begin studies overseas, regardless of whether they are financed through government scholarships, private sponsorship, or personal funds.
According to the government, the measure is designed to enable the state to monitor academic training undertaken abroad, ensure it aligns with the country's current development vision, reduce potential social challenges after students return home, and improve their eventual integration into the domestic labor market.
The new policy introduces an additional administrative layer for thousands of Burkinabè students who each year seek opportunities at universities outside the country.
France remains one of the most popular destinations, with Campus France reporting that about 2,500 Burkinabè students were enrolled in French higher education institutions in 2022.
A broader shift in education policy
The new decree is the latest in a series of reforms that have expanded the Burkinabè state's role in shaping higher education under the country's transition authorities.
In May 2025, the government introduced a mandatory month-long "patriotic immersion" programme for students admitted after the baccalaureate examination, making participation a prerequisite for enrollment at public universities.
The initiative, which involved about 60,000 high school graduates, was presented as a civic training programme aimed at producing citizens committed to national service and prepared to defend the country as it battles a decade-long jihadist insurgency.
The government's oversight of the education sector has since extended beyond university admissions.
In May 2026, authorities suspended the activities of the General Union of Burkina Students (UGEB), one of the country's oldest and most influential student organizations, accusing it of "glorifying terrorism" after it criticized the military government's handling of the security crisis and shrinking civic freedoms.
The move drew criticism from rights groups, which argued it reflected a broader narrowing of civic space.
Against that backdrop, the new requirement for students to obtain government authorization before pursuing studies abroad further expands the state's influence over academic pathways.
According to Higher Education Minister Adjima Thiombiano, the policy is intended to enable the government to monitor overseas training in line with its national development vision, prevent potential social challenges after students return, and better prepare graduates for professional integration into Burkina Faso's economy.
The decree reflects a growing emphasis by Burkina Faso's transition government on strengthening state oversight across strategic sectors, including education.
Officials argue that closer coordination between the government and students studying abroad will help ensure that training received overseas meets national needs while reducing difficulties graduates may face when re-entering the country's labor market.
While the government has framed the decree as a tool for improving educational planning and national development, it also represents one of the clearest examples yet of the state's expanding role in shaping the academic pathways of Burkinabè students, both at home and overseas. https://africa.businessinsider.com/local/lifestyle/burkina-faso-moves-to-block-unauthorized-study-abroad-requiring-government-approval/cy2tpfbHumbledbYGrace osystein Nlfpmod |

geoworldedu: 200k is not perfect for even a man with no dependant. It is just money to manage. People who are in abject poverty right now might think it is perfect until they get there and see that 200k for even a starter is not perfect.
Let's break it down
Starter must sha eat daily
1200 per meal is #3600 daily. Multiply by 30 That's #108,000 spent on food already. The remaining money for that guy to spend is 92k for one month.
Barbing twice a month is 3k
Transportation in Lagos to work and back daily is 3k, so in 30 days is 60k
Buying soap and toiletries for a month is like 10k . Don't even talk about buying gas to cook food. You have to borrow to get things done and pay back with interest.
Is that what we call perfect?
I've not talked about saving monthly to pay up for house rent of 500k in Lagos o. There is not even room for that. Mr billionaire, you just exposed your ignorance, a lot of people working in Lagos don’t eat 3 times a day. Two moderate meals are enough for a working adult. Even for CEOs. Some even prefer just snacks at midday. I have been emphasizing personal circumstances, you don’t just generalize a claim because of a possibility you are thinking in your head. What if they don’t have to spend that much on transportation ? What if they are not saving for a 500k rent? Look at you talking about poverty as if you have an idea if what you’re talking about. If 200k is not enough for you, you have no business applying for a 200k job. If 700k can’t meet your needs, you have no business applying for a 700k role. Why do you think companies put out salaries with the job advertisement? And those that didn’t will still ask you salary expectations during interview. There are other people that the pay fits there current circumstances. |
Jobs/Vacancies › Re: Jiji Job Recruitment (3 Positions) by ILoveNG: 9:23pm On Jun 27 |
geoworldedu: 200k is not perfect for a single guy who has dependants. But he should take it up if he is not having a good job at the moment. You people just talk He said a single guy who is just starting but you didn’t waste any time to add “dependants” No amount of salary is perfect if you have exceeding responsibilities. Even if you’re earning 7 figures. So 200k is perfect for some people considering their current situation. |
