Your First Investment Should Be In Knowledge. An educated person is powerful; in the same way, an educated society is safer when compared to non uneducated, in all you do, please invest in knowledge.

Knowledge in career, professional career, skills, or business, just develop time to learn something, and remember learning never end. Learn and move to learning in practice.

Yes, Knowledge's investment, long-term time gives benefits, not current. Utilize the time properly, really, it's meant. Then lot of advantages are permanent.

Knowledge is the route to access greater success, and when it comes to interest rates, Knowledge pays the best interest now and later.

You made a great point

The fact Nairaland is built with SMF CMS, makes it more easier for Seun to work on comment rank index base on most useful comments

As you said, that will limit the booking space niggas. Lol

Hope Seun will read and take note.

Hopeful, Nairaland will bounce back. It can just be dying like that....

FarahAideed:
I noticed most post on FP can't even exceed page 1 again .

Well Nairaland was primarily supported by few GENX and millions of Millennials , millennials have started getting busy running families so have no much spare time to be here , this platform has failed to attract Genzs and Gen Alphas .
Recently engagements here dropped because of the use of poorly trained bots to moderate comments and that character limiter that was implemented, the character limiter although a good innovation was poorly implemented, it failed to take into account that short comments are also part of engagements especially in this short attention span era , you can't force people to have 40 character worth of information before they comment because you want to prevent a few people from booking space and besides people are still using copy and paste to book paste meaning it didn't even work .

Well I solve issues like this for living so I will give Seun a free advice , to stop page booking just simply rank comment according bti the number of likes the comments have , comments with higher likes should appear on top of pages and those with the least appear below .

This will greatly improve brilliant discussions on the platform and create new engagement

Nairaland was never a solo site then

Nairaland was also not the first forum in Nigeria, but was able to outlived others during the humble beginning

Back then, a 100k ads on print news paper can make you millions in return

And 50k ads listing Nairaland about 7 to 10 years ago normally bring back 150% ads profit returns, these have gone down lately

Even Nairaland was our idea news platform for latest happen across Nigeria

It was all made possible by her users, of which many have left...

Well let me stop complaining, the choice is all over to #Seun

If i had used my old account, possible he may understand better.

Thank to all
nairalanda1:
Well, tribal bigotry was making things ugly on this site

Hasn't gone yet, but getting there

Internet is free. People can set up for a where they can allow tribalism

Also, advertising not making profit? Nairaland is no longer the sole site it was in 2005. Internet has changed too
Nairaland GeneralRe: Seun Nairaland Is Dying. Your Cancel Culture Lately Is Bad by imsoftcash(op): 6:30am On Oct 27, 2025
Please read the post again

I Said comment that has nothing to do with tribal fronting and backing. To want to state as tribal bigots are getting deleted

Come to talk about the tribal war here, we all know when it started

Nairaland was never like that years ago

It was an open forums for Nigerians and the number one across Africa

The social forum networking is dying across the platform

This is not about tribe.... This is about the forum we all supported, dying

While putting a stop on tribal war here is welcome development, possible if the bot handler is not helping, maybe Seun need to train more better mods to handle such

Try to run as on Nairaland, and let see the current insight...........

nairalanda1:
So, you are angry that tribal bigots posts are getting deleted.

Okay. You can't run a business on tribalism

Dear Seun

Sorry to say, but Nairaland is dying, This is community we all supported, help to grow. While I dont want to mentioned my first Monica user name right on tis forum.

I Don't want to mentioned how much ads i have run across Nairaland across all my users name, and customers users name

I Dont want to mentioned how many people and business ads I have refers to Nairaland.

But sorry to say, the last couple of Ads was nothing but loses, the conversion now across all the ads are zero. #Seun I Mean zero.

Even freedom of post, freedom of speech, our normal thread journey is also zero, normal post without link are getting deleted
Post with source Ref mentions are getting deleted

Normal comments without tribal fronting and backing are getting deleted

To me, who have referred hundreds of premium customers, is very gainful seeing this, Am even afraid to place ads again on Nairaland come to talk of placing customers ads

The last Ads I run for a customers, sadly the ads ruined with zero conversion and I end up refunding the customer.

And lastly, I Hope this post won't also be deleted. Please do something.

CareerChoose Independence. Build Yourself. Start Today by imsoftcash(op): 6:45am On Oct 22, 2025
If only you could stop outsourcing your future by depending 100% on others and invest in yourself, invest in your business, or your career path

You see,

Here’s a hard truth wrapped in hope: the fastest path to a great life is to stop depending on others for what you can build yourself.

Too many people have stopped believing in their own abilities. Some rely on public funds or the goodwill of others, while a few in power chase personal gain over public good. Meanwhile, others spend years chasing wealthy people and politicians for favors—time that could have been invested in learning, building, and earning.

Dependency might feel safe today, but it is risky long-term—especially now. AI and automation are accelerating. The future will reward people who create value, solve problems, and own their skills. If you don’t build yourself, you risk becoming dependent by default.

The good news: you can choose a different path—starting now.

Why dependence holds you back
- You surrender control of your income and time.
- You delay growth and miss critical opportunities.
- You forget your own capacity to make an impact.
- You become vulnerable to changes you can’t influence.

What to do instead: build yourself
- Invest in skills: Pick one marketable skill and go deep (writing, sales, coding, design, data, customer support, project management, AI tools).
- Create value: Turn skills into services or products. Start small, ship fast, improve weekly.
- Earn independently: Freelance, start a micro-business, or sell digital products. Aim for your first $100, then $1,000, then a consistent monthly income.
- Use AI as leverage: Learn prompt writing, automation, and no-code tools to work faster and smarter—not to replace your effort, but to amplify it.
- Build a reputation: Show your work publicly. Share what you learn. Help others. Reliability compounds.
- Own your habits: Daily routines beat occasional motivation. One focused hour a day can change your year.
- Stand on your own feet: Support from others can help temporarily; dependence shouldn’t be a lifestyle.

Possible: Make A 30-day starter plan
Week 1: Choose a skill and a niche. Study the top 3 free resources on it. Create a simple practice project.
Week 2: Offer your skill for free or low-cost to 2–3 people to get experience and testimonials.
Week 3: Package an offer (clear outcome, price, timeline). Pitch 10 potential clients. Follow up twice.
Week 4: Deliver great results. Ask for referrals. Raise your price slightly. Document everything you learn.

Simple ways to earn faster
- Local services: social media setup for local shops, simple websites, product photography, and customer support.
- Digital products: templates, guides, checklists, mini-courses.
- Freelance platforms: start with a tight niche (e.g., “short-form video captions for fitness coaches”).
- Micro-agency: team up with 1–2 friends to offer a complete solution (content + design + distribution).

Mindset shifts that change everything
- From waiting to initiating: Don’t wait for perfect—ship, learn, iterate.
- From excuses to ownership: If it’s on you, you can change it.
- From consuming to creating: For every hour you learn, spend an hour building.
- From comfort to growth: Choose the hard thing that makes you stronger.

If you do nothing, the world will move on without you. If you build yourself, the world will pay you for the value you create. You are not powerless. You are not “unable.” You are a builder in progress.

Your decision today
- Will you depend on others?
- Or will you invest in yourself and create a life you control?

Choose independence. Start now. Your future self will thank you.

Senate 35 years

CareerMost Men Fail Because They Chase Women Instead Of Building Right by imsoftcash(op): 7:08pm On Aug 23, 2025
Most Men Fail In Life For Chasing Women, And Most Women Fail In Life For Depending Solely On Men.

The reality is, don't chase a woman, don’t depend solely on men, don't spend carelessly on them, and don’t throw your life fully out on a man/woman trying to prove your love to them. You may fail in life for consistently chasing them

You see, most men fail because they chase women instead of building something that women want to chase
While most women fail in life for fully depend on men, forgetting they too can build up their own life and strive.

My message goes to both the man and the woman. Learn to invest in yourself. Build, don't chase, don’t struggle to prove anything to anybody.

Once you are able to build yourself as a man, as a woman, only then will you see how great a number of women, a great number of men will be the ones chasing you. I mean the right and attractive ones in line with your personality

Live life for life is for the living, Live well by investing heavily in yourself, in your family and that of your business/career

EducationHer Skirt Was So Short, That She Couldn’t Bend Down by imsoftcash(op): 6:55am On Aug 16, 2025
Her skirt was so short, she couldn’t bend down without shame.
But she wore it again, and again the next day.
I remember the look on the teacher’s face.
Disappointed. Angry. But mostly… helpless.

She wanted to say something.
She should’ve sent the girl home.
But she paused… because “people will say I’m too harsh.”
So she kept quiet.

And another girl watched.
Then copied.
By next week, 3 more skirts got shorter.

The boys started sagging their trousers

Like they had just came from prison.
And suddenly —

The classroom started looking like a nightclub pre-party.
One day, a young male teacher stormed out of the staff room and quit.
“I came to teach, not fight daily battles with temptation.”

He left.
No warning. Just walked away.
Another teacher tried to confront a student.
The girl laughed and said,
“My mum bought me this skirt.”

That’s when it hit us —
The collapse didn’t start in the school.
It started at home.

Where silence became agreement.
Where parenting became passive.
And now?
We’re watching a generation slip through our fingers

While we scroll and stay quiet.

📌 Dear parents:
When you allow your child to walk out half-dressed

Do you know is hard for them to express themselves?
And as a parent, you’re not just being modern.
You’re quietly approving destruction.

📌 Dear school heads:
When you see the madness and say nothing —
You are failing the very children you swore to shape.

SEND THEM HOME.
Set standards.
Hold the line.
This is not just about fashion.
It’s about the future.
It’s about values.
It’s about saving a generation before it’s too late.
If we don’t fix it now —
The stories we’ll tell in 10 years will be far, far worse.

Help to make this post go viral by sharing it across.

It's our right to save the lives of the younger generation

Incubating the right culture back to them

And helping them say no to indecent dressing

From NL SOFT Publishers of Nairalearn.com

This alone we thank God

May all our children keep making us proud

And we never fail as parents.

Share and God bless us all.

CareerWhen Nobody Cares For The Poor by imsoftcash(op): 6:30am On Aug 11, 2025
The poor have nobody representing them, both in government, private, and in real life. The poor have nobody representing them, So Please Don't Be Poor. Invest in learning and building an income base. Invest in yourself intentionally.

For those reading me right in Africa, Nigeria, where I come from, know this today that the government of most African countries, Nigeria in particular, from federal, state, and local, doesn't represent the poor and the average man at the moment, but only represents themselves, their families, friends, and the elite.

In a, the average man's life is determined by his country
If his country is on an uptrend, his life will be fine

If his country is on he downtrend, his life will be sold out by the elite class and politicians.

The question now is, do you need to ask yourself?
Based on your country, do you want to be average?

Do you?

Please remember, no one cares if you are poor; the government doesn't care. They only care when they need your votes, but sorry, these days in my country, Nigeria, even your votes don't count anymore. They have their ways to rig elections, remain in power, and retain power as godfathers.

Even as we speak, Nigeria must succeed in our time, yes, a better Africa Nigeria is possible, we should not be scared of saying the truth, the reality to those in government and power. That is the least we can do.

Not just those in government and power, including your friend, don't care as soon as they assume you have nothing to offer, which is being poor. More reasons you should prioritize investing in yourself, in learning, and in building your income base.

Your family member out of 99% won't care if you are poor. I'm sorry to say that, but that is the reality.

The same goes with your pastors; they care less if you are poor, if your giving volume is below their expectation, and guess what. There is no one to blame, nor should you blame yourself when the system of governance in your country is designed never to work, but remember.

You have a choice path to beat the norms, be it good or bad, invest in yourself, invest in building an income base, even if it means starting small.

Nobody Cares Remains The Reality Of Today's World.

FamilyThis Is What Teenagers Are Going Through This Days by imsoftcash(op): 10:34am On Aug 10, 2025
When most children, teenagers, and young adults tell you how they got into drug abuse. Oh... Only then will you understand that it is not easy being a teenager or young youth these days.

It's not easy being a child these days, it's not easy being a teenager, it's not easy being a young person these days, for the challenges these people face in today's world are unimaginable.

A lot of teenagers and youth are facing drug bullying, too many social vices against societal norms and values are being passed on to them as norms and culture.

Reasons why we parents, all parents, elders, brothers, and sisters must come close to our children, not just as parents or seniors, but close to them as #Friends.

Once you can bond with your children or younger brothers and sisters, you stand a better chance of learning, knowing them more, and, more importantly, guiding them on the right path to living a purposeful life.

It is not easy with today's children and teenagers, alongside Young Youth, with all the social vices. It's Not Easy With Them

As we move from community to community, engaging with young people, teenagers, and youth, our message to them is simple: "Please Say No To Drugs." In all, please encourage your children, all teenagers, and young youth within your reach 🙏 to always say no to drugs....

If you're a #Teenager or young youths reading this, please say no to drugs and don't subject yourself to them either.

From all of us #NLSOFT, #nairalearn.com Please say no to drug abuse..

Choosing Peace Doesn't Make You Weak

Every day we wake up
With the gift of life, we choose to live
Seeing the beauty of nature and all it has given us
A Grateful heart to God

Choosing peace over crisis
Choose to live for life is for the living
Choose to eat good fruits
Choose to exercise daily
And mind what you eat in the other rooms

Then
Live by telling the truth
If you want to know what greatness is
Then choose to be a healer to others, not a dominant one
Send healing, love, and care to humanity
But before you can heal others
You need to heal yourself with inner peace

There are problems everywhere, right in front of you
Across every nation, state, and community
But choose walking away from a problem you never created
Most importantly, the problem factioned to destroy you
And choose not to destroy others with it either

This is life, choose to live for it

PoliticsThe Man Who Wants To Live Forever LOOTING Others To Death by imsoftcash(op): 2:16pm On Aug 04, 2025
Remember again, the gods may be ruthless to those who show no mercy to others—those who forget that the only thing they truly possess is the time they have to live, and who arrogantly mistake the earth, the sun, the water, and the air they breathe as creations of their own making.

Who thinks all that nature has given us, HUMANITY, is by their powers, with no respect to others. Only a hateful mentality towards THEIR fellow beings.

When their minds cannot see beyond their feelings and emotions. They take offense easily. They echo what others have said, what they’ve heard on television, what their tribe repeats. They are unable to look past their noses to grasp how fleeting life truly is—and how we own nothing.

Right now, as you read this, you are conscious of life—alongside billions of people—but only for a brief moment, before every one of us will leave this earth for others to continue.

Anyone who fails to understand that they truly own nothing and will soon die cannot live a purposeful life.

Life in itself is for the living, so we should live to love, to lead, and to leave positive legacies.

It is virtually impossible for one to live forever. This is the ultimate truth—beyond the empty fights between families, friends, tribes, religion, races, politics, genders, social classes, or political tribes.

Once you understand that you are here on God's Earth for only a short while, you become kinder to yourself and to others around you.

You become less arrogant. You begin to build meaningful connections and make peace with those around you. You no longer base your worth on likes and shares, but on meaning, kindness, grace, and gratitude.

You will also realize that being alive today is not because you've made all the right choices or are somehow better than those who died yesterday. Life can end at any moment— that is the price of being a living being.

To be heartless is the very definition of stupidity—the failure to grasp the truth staring you in the face that you can die before that person you choose to hate, and that that person in front of you could be the last you ever see... or the beginning of a lifelong, meaningful friendship.

Call it dark. Call it cynical. But the reality is that all living things must pay the price. Why, why the hate? Instead of loving and blessing humanity
