No doubt - It is was done all over the world - but it is an old technology -that it is been taking to the extreme in Nigeria. just like the BB madness . But i guess in Nigeria one has to protect his or her pride of joy. In the western world i dont care if my car is stolen - as long i am fully insured it will be replaced asap. . I understand engraving the wind shields but on lights cover - i have never seen that one before

In some Funny Places, If you don't engrave your Alloy Wheels, Your 4 Tires and wheels would be GONE by the time you get to your Car.

These Happens All Over the World As well, Thats why we have Wheel Locks to Protect against theft of Rims and Tyres.

If Tires with Bolts and Buts Can be Stolen in a twinkle of an eye, What Else is Sacred on a car ? Side Mirrors, Emblems, Head Lights or Rear lights ?

Engraving or Glass etching is Done every Where in the WORLD.

VIN etching is a countermeasure to motor vehicle theft.
