Nigeria Immigration Service To
Recruit 5,000 Officers...

The 2014 Nigeria Immigration Service Recruitment
exercise went sour after some candidates lost
their
lives in some screening centers. Following this,
the
Nigeria Immigration will be recruiting soon in
2014.
The Minister of Interior, Abba Moro, on
Friday said the Federal Government planned to
recruit 5,000 officers into the Nigeria Immigration
Service (NIS) over the next five years.
Moro said this in Abuja at the 2014 Comptroller-
General’s annual conference and stakeholder’s
forum in commemoration of the 50th anniversary
of the service. The two-day conference organised
by the service is themed: “Effective Border Control
Systems and Procedures for National Security”.
He said recruitment was aimed at enabling the
service to increase the number of officers
manning
the country’s 4,400 square kilometer borders. The
fact that we have fewer than 23,000 immigration
officers manning our very long stretch of border
means there is need to add more men into the
service.

off Mark for 2014/2015

This article is specifically for prospective
students of the Michael Okpara University
of Agriculture Umudike, whose Post
UTME Results has been released and are
eager to know MOUAU Departmental Cut
off Mark for 2014/2015 Admission.

Before we continue, recall that MOUAU
Post UTME result this year was marked
over 100% and released without delay. We
gathered that candidates’ scores lied
between zero (0) to hundred (100)
percents. However from statistics,

session on its official website. All newly admistted
students are hereby notified

resumtion date was was announced by the
polytechnic’s Registrar in a statement issued on

“All new students of the institution are hereby
expected to resume for academic activities by
September 8, 2014 while returning students are to
resume by September 22, 2014.
Note that all registration commences by 25th Aug,
2014 and ends by September 8, 2014.
All students are hereby informed to strictly adhere
to the deadlines.”
