I take everything said here very very unseriously - which of the different arguments realy makes any meaning? My bros, some discussions here make serious meaning o. I know you are in London - the best place to be, abi . Please, do remember those of us in Nairaland - the worst place to be . |
Nairaland is all encompassing. Some Columns/Sections discuss very serious issues while some are just for fun. For instance, the Politics and Religion Sections deal with serious issues. On the other hand, Sections like Jokes, Forum games, etc are purely for fun. Personally, I deal with every Column/Section with commensurate level of seriousness or fun it deserves. |

MEND needs to check itself. Just like some respondents here have said, a group fighting for self actualisation should not kidnap people for monetry sake only. By kidnapping and releasing people after collecting heavy ransoms puts a very big question mark on the genuineness of MEND as an organisation fighting for their people. If I may ask. Are the ransoms collected by MEND used to provide infrastructure for their people? Or, do they share the ransoms collected to all citizens within the ND? What about the Federal govt revenue allocation to the ND states which their governors collect, are they judiciously used to develop their areas? If the revenue collected are not judiciously used by their governors, is the FG to be blamed? The ND states collect the highest monthly revenue allocation from the Federal govt, which I consider a good compensation for the ND areas. The present govt of Nigeria has also gone ahead to establish a ministry for the development of the ND areas. The ministry, though young, has started impacting on the lives of the people of the ND areas already. The FG also influences the oil companies within the areas to provide some facilities/infrastructure as part of their social responsibilities to the the people of the ND areas. While I appreciate the negative ecological influences of oil exploration activities on the area, I personally feel that the FG has been considerate enough in compensating the people of the ND areas adequately and therefore see no need for grievances by MEND. |
Hmmmm. Nigerians! This topic has been dealt with severally on this Forum. Why is it resurfacing at this time the EFCC is waking up to its responsibility by grabbing the big thieves in Nigeria? I smell a smear campaign here - Pull Her Down. I see paid adverts trying to rubbish the madam at this crucial time in order to win sympathy for the big thieves, particularly those who stole billions from the rural electrification account, who are presently in the EFCC net. I see a diversionary tactics here. Please read these threads on this same accusations against madam EFCC & Festus Keyamo: www.nairaland.com/nigeria/topic-214663.0.html www.nairaland.com/nigeria/topic-274234.0.htm www.nairaland.com/nigeria/topic-216786.0.html www.nairaland.com/nigeria/topic-228155.0.html www.nairaland.com/nigeria/topic-217342.96.html www.nairaland.com/nigeria/topic-191083.0.html www.nairaland.com/nigeria/topic-217342.0.html www.nairaland.com/nigeria/topic-217342.32.html Note:Please, I am not saying that madam EFCC is clean or unclean. My concern is why are these publications coming up now, at a time that some big thieves are in the EFCC net? |
Let them continue the nonsense. It is certain that arrangee marriage is no marriage and will naturally find its level within the shortest possible time. I just pity those young guys and gurls forced into this kind of political marriages. |
