THE NIGERIAN MEDIA JUST FEEDING ON THE POPULARITY OF SENATOR NED/ REGINA DANIELS In Nigeria's fast evolving media landscape, few names stir as much attention as Senator Ned Nwoko and his wife , Regina Daniels. I once described them as the most popular couple in Africa and amongst the most popular in the world , comparing with Kim Kardashian/ Kanye West and Beyoncé / Jay- z. Whether it's a philanthropic gesture, a political appearance or a family moment shared online , the actions of Senator Ned Nwoko and family rarely escape the glare of the public eye . But behind the public constant stream of headlines lies a deeper question: is the media simply informing the public or feeding off their popularity for clicks and engagement? From entertainment blogs to mainstream news outlets, stories about Ned and Regina dominate social timelines . Each public appearance becomes content, each Instagram post, a headline . The couple's brand - an intersection of politics, wealth and celebrity glamour has become irresistible clickbait in an attention driven era. Ned Nwoko and Regina Daniels have become victims of their own popularity. They have lost their privacy as any issue concerning them have become a menu for public discourse. This was the dilemma faced by Princess Diana of Wales and her consort - Dodi Al Fayed - the wealthy son of businessman Mohammed Al Fayed - until the paparazzi allegedly drove them into a car crash in Paris on 31st August 1997. THE REAL ISSUES The marriage between Senator Ned Nwoko and Regina Daniels is not significantly different from most marriages. What makes theirs different is that their marriage operates on the media plane . People crave the Ned - Regina narrative- the blend of fame , influence and romance . But there is a downside. When stories of celebrities are churned out purely for traffic , nuances are lost . The focus shifts from substance to spectacle. This pattern risks overshadowing their genuine contributions in favour of sensationalism. Regina 's massive online following serves as a soft power tool, amplifying her husband's public initiatives. Ultimately, the media 's fascination with Ned and Regina is a reflection of modern story telling - where personalities drive engagement and visibility becomes a currency. Ned Nwoko and Regina Daniels are both good people, surrounded by villains -their actions and inactions shaped by external narratives they cannot control. As a public figure , politician and Philanthropist , Senator Ned Nwoko has tried fruitlessly to shield his marriages from public glare . He had once battled with Jaruma over stories concerning kayamata and Regina. It ended in court. He had had brushes with Sowore Omoyele , the activist publisher of Sahara Reporters and Deji Adeyanju , a lawyer and activist, who tried unsuccessfully to label Senator Ned Nwoko as a land grabber in his native country of Idumuje Ugboko. At other times , Senator Ned had battled off the rampaging media onslaughts from fugitive Azuka Jebose , a self styled journalist who made himself a willing tool for Ned Nwoko's political and community detractors. It is clear that the current media hysteria between Ned Nwoko and Regina Daniels have a political undertone. Some persons, willing to gain political capital out of the family feud are fueling the controversy for some selfish ends. They have ostensibly infiltrated the Ned Nwoko family and recruited some mercenaries to perfect smear campaign against the Senator. It seems also that as chairman of the Senate ad hoc committee on crude oil theft ,Senator Ned Nwoko has stepped on powerful toes as a result of some startling discovery that several billions of dollars are unaccounted for in the crude oil market . It seems that corruption is now fighting back. Senator Ned Nwoko, known for his resilience and tenacity looks obviously unbroken by the severe media diatribes unleashed against him and his family. He remains unscathed by the bickering and has shown even greater optimism in his pursuit of the realization of an ANIOMA state and other campaign promises he made to his constituents and supporters While we urge the public especially the media to be fair to Ned Nwoko and his esteemed family, we equally urge Senator Ned Nwoko not to be distracted by the shenanigans of a few people who are bent on breaking the indefatigable Senator . We know how pained Senator Ned is seeing people he loved telling lies about Tarik his son, a football sensation in the UK who passed on his sleep but who is now cruelly labeled as having died due to excessive drug consumption. Like Ned Nwoko who neither drinks nor Smokes,Tarik never used drugs , neither did he smoke. It is getting clearer by the day that the travails of Regina Daniels is the handiwork of friends and siblings who had unimpeded access to Regina's private apartment. They exploited her public image and made her excessively vulnerable to the celebrity fad- drugs and substances that produce euphoria. Senator Ned fought to wade them off but was also conscious of the backlash of being mislabeled , he too being conscious of his public image as philanthropist and lover of humanity. The current travails of the Ned Nwoko family is just a passing phase. It would fade away and make Senator Ned even more thick skinned , having passed through the crucible and experienced the baptism of a full scale media escapade Senator Ned would come out of this era with the painful realization that many people one helps will eventually become one's albatross .But in all these , one thing has become evident: fame comes with its own challenges and as the English dictum has it , you cannot eat your cake and have it. All of a sudden, Regina Daniels is saying Ned Nwoko married her at age 17. But when the marriage took place, they told us she was 18. Now, she had to slot that in to pass a pedophilia narrative. Everybody knows exactly what they’re doing. |

Even that night they said Ned b3at her, smash3d her head on the wall, bla bla bla, you noticed that there was no clear indication that he did so? No bruises to show, just videos and ranting in the background. Regina is quute beautiful but definitely the least beautiful, educated and classy among Ned's wives. But she is the billionaire's right hand wife, the most pampered and the most favored and yet, she is the one alleging Ned do b£at her up. I believe if you check the family background of all his wives, Regina's family must have received much favor from Ned more than the families of his other wives, yet only Regina's family are belittling Ned on social media due to a minor issue they supposed to handle without causing uproar on social media. Look at the beauties Ned assembled as wives. Do they look like people Ned do b£at up? If Ned has been b£ating you up, then check your attitude and stop doing those things that do lead your husband to b£at you up. I do not support dom£stic v!oIence but please, stop prov0king your husband. Do not disrespect him because both of you are from same Delta. Emulate the senior wives and respect him, respect yourself and your co-wives. Do not engage in class competition with your co-wives. It is obvious their profiles are bigger than yours but Ned has done his best to elevate your educational level and even supported you to become the secrerary to the association of Nigerian Senator's wives. He did all these in order to make you not feel inferior to his other wives due to their towering profiles, and also in order for you not to be a mismatch to him. Does it mean none of her family members ever snapped her after the abuse or does he also confiscated their phones? The same family that was said to be living with the man. All that was alleged against the man there was no evidence to back it up. Where’s the documented evidence?? You can’t keep on alleging and there is evidence to back it Even that night they said Ned b3at her, smash3d her head on the wall, bla bla bla, you noticed that there was no clear indication that he did so? Villages got burned down, police didn't show up, children massacred, families wiped out and Army wasn't there to save them, air force couldn't locate the so-called terrorists, President didn't pay a visit to the victim's families and you tell me Nigeria is not a country of concern? There is something wrong with you if you are supporting this evil government. I have a friend who is from Benue state in Nigeria, he lost his whole family, mum, father and siblings all wiped out, he is alive today because he doesn't live in the village, he is the bread winner of his family and as i type this he will definitely read it because he is following my page here, until you lose your own family and you're the only one left to carry on with your bloodline in a lonely world you will not understand the pain millions of innocent people that lost their families this way are going through; How many of the victim's families did Tinubu visit as a president? Please tell me, dozens of innocent people were massacred in Pleateu State and the President was not in the country, he was never bothered and remained calm where he was, in a sane country the president will quickly return back home and pay the victim's families visit then take quick action to address or put an end to the killings. If this is not Ethnic cleansing then what is it? look around you and you will see those that are strongly in support of Donald J. Trump not sending troops to Nigeria, people die everyday in Benue, Pleateu and other parts of Nigeria, Fulani herders and other terrorist groups including Al Qaeda, ISIS and Boko Haram are freely operating even the Army are being sent to go and die for nothing because those higher ups are part of this agenda, may God have mercy on you that will come under this post to talk nvnsense otherwise you and your whole family will suffer the same fate those innocent people that lost their loved ones went through and still going through. Yesterday, as Chairman of the Senate Ad Hoc Committee on Crude Oil Theft and Sabotage, I presented our interim report before the Senate. Our investigation has so far uncovered massive revenue losses amounting to over $300 billion in unaccounted crude oil proceeds over the years. This represents one of the most troubling cases of economic sabotage our nation has ever faced. We have made far-reaching recommendations to end this long-standing menace. These include: • The strict enforcement of international crude oil measurement standards at all production and export points. • Mandating the Nigerian Upstream Petroleum Regulatory Commission (NUPRC) to deploy modern, tamper-proof measuring technology or returning this function to the Department of Weights and Measures under the Ministry of Industry, Trade, and Investment. • The deployment of advanced surveillance systems, including drones, to assist security agencies in combating oil theft. • The creation of a Special Court for Crude Oil Theft to ensure swift prosecution of offenders and their collaborators. • Full implementation of the Host Communities Development Trust Fund under the Petroleum Industry Act (PIA) to empower local communities and reduce sabotage. • Ceding abandoned oil wells to the NUPRC for allocation to modular refineries to support local production and job creation. The committee also seeks an expanded mandate to track, trace, and recover stolen crude oil proceeds, both locally and internationally. Forensic reviews show over $22 billion, $81 billion, and $200 billion remain unaccounted for across different audit periods. This is a national call to action. Nigeria cannot afford to continue losing trillions to corruption, inefficiency, and criminal networks. I remain committed, alongside my colleagues, to ensuring accountability, recovery, and reform within the oil and gas sector. Sen. Ned Nwoko Chairman, Sen Ad-hoc committee on oil Theft and Sabotage

A former Aide of Ned Nwoko, Mr. Ugaga wrote this on his Facebook page. 👇 The day Regina Daniel and Ned first met in Ugboko. Her mom brought her to apply for Ned Nwoko's scholarship for undergraduates. Okwuelum Sylvanus Originator refuse to give her form insisting that she is not an indigent student, then she claimed she was in Igbinedion university. The mother started shouting that her daughter is qualified for the scholarship. Ned Nwoko came out, stunned, he recognized reginal Daniel and ushered them in. Then Regina Daniel and her family were still living in a rented flat (a old one story building at Akpu junction road, Asaba with peach and green colour) The next thing was the news of Rolex watch and Mercedes car gift. Then he bought her family a mansion behind sweet spirit hotel Okpanam road. At Ned Nwoko's next Arrival, Regina Daniel and mom appear from Ned Nwoko's PG and straight to Ugboko. On getting their, Ned Nwoko did Kola nut (Ishiegware) for Rita Daniel, mother to Reginal. The itshegware was $30k. Rita Daniel was out of control, showering Ned with praise and smiling cheaply. From her reaction, you do co.firm that she had not seen that kind of money in the past. About a month Ned was back home, and I heard them pressuring g Ned to Intervene to Release Regina Daniel's slim brother was in detention on a matter relating to reckless lifestyle. I cant quite remember if it was bothering on possession of hard drugs or accident under influence. But Ned Nwoko was visibly not having it, but them, he does not refuse Reginal any request. In protest, he said, this is the last time I will be intervening for that boy on these kind of matters. He has to change and become a better person. This same boy was once arrested in Lagos for beating up a DPO with his gang, it was Ned Nwoko that intervened. The first visit of that boy to Ned Nwoko's house, Ned asked him to identify a tree in the compound amd he said fig tree. NED Nwoko gave him $2k dollars and he wanted to faint. These are the people accusing Ned. If you ever worked with Ned, you will know, he does not eat Meat or fish, he is a vegetarian, he does not take alcohol nor any carbonated drink. NED Nwoko drinks only two things. Water and Moroccan tea. He also does not encourage anyone to take alcohol but he will personally serve you that tea and water. I know these things because I was once his close aide. I was his SA students affairs for years and we did a little bit more than that for him though. I may not be on the same page with Sen Ne Nwoko today but there are some lies can not sell about him. And let's I forget, Ned Nwoko lost 90% of his die hard followers and believers when Regina and her mom stepped in. Oh I remember our dear Barr. Nwakaego...that beautiful lady would worship the ground Ned walked. She would never publicly embarras Ned Nwoko like this, she would realte with and appeal with his followers to be patient with Oga while she intervenes. But Regina came in and she was history |

This monumental educational intervention achieved through his unrelenting legislative drive, strategic collaboration with key federal agencies and steadfast pursuit of equity in resource allocation, stands as a shining testament to his dedication to youth empowerment and capacity building. *SPORTS UNIVERSITY OF NIGERIA* ~*By Chulex James Enomate* The Sports University in Idumuje-Ugboko, built by our amiable Senator Prince Ned Nwoko is a groundbreaking institution that redefines education and development in Sub-Saharan Africa. As the first of its kind in the entire region, it stands as a beacon of hope and progress, as well as a place where sports and academics merge seamlessly to produce well-rounded global citizens. Within its serene and conducive environment, athletes, sports administrators and professionals in diverse disciplines are groomed, not only to excel in their fields, but also to embody excellence, discipline and innovation. Senator Prince Ned Nwoko has consistently demonstrated that true leadership is measured by impact and legacy, and every year without fail, he awards scholarships to deserving Anioma indigenes and deserving individuals, doing much to ensure that no dream is cut short due to lack of opportunity. This noble act is more than charity, it is a bold investment in the future of Anioma, Delta State and by extension Nigeria, It reflects his unshakable belief that human capital is the greatest wealth of any society. While many politicians spend their time consumed with the shenanigans of the election, Senator Ned Nwoko continues to devote his energy to building the next generation. His vision transcends political cycles, it is a vision rooted in empowerment, in creating opportunities that align with modern global demands and in shaping a society where excellence becomes the norm. Through his initiatives, he dreams of a nation whose citizens can confidently take their place on the world stage, standing tall and shoulder to shoulder with people from every corner of the globe. The Sports University is not just a school, rather, it is a movement, a symbol of what is possible when leadership, vision and compassion converge for the greater good. As a devoted apostle of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Senator Ned Nwoko is working assiduously to deliver the true dividends of democracy to the people and with the unwavering support of Mr President and the dynamic leadership of the Executive Governor of Delta State, Rt. Honourable Sheriff Oborevwori, he continues to champion development, progress and inclusive governance that reflect the true spirit of the APC *Ned Media Directorate*

Thank you America, Nigeria is a crime scene |
Nigeria @65: A Nation Rising Beyond Challenges Sixty-five years after independence, Nigeria remains a work in progress. A story of resilience, promise, and determination. Ours is a nation that has survived turbulence, overcome setbacks, and yet continues to stand as Africa’s most powerful voice. This year’s anniversary is more than a ritual commemoration. It is a call to renew our sense of duty to one another and to the generations ahead. The Renewed Hope Agenda of the present administration deserves recognition for the strides already made: restoring macroeconomic stability, encouraging local production over reckless imports, investing in social interventions, and reaffirming Nigeria’s leadership on the continent. These are bold beginnings that must be sustained with consistency and urgency. I particularly commend the words of Vice President Kashim Shettima at the 80th United Nations General Assembly. His call for a permanent African seat on the UN Security Council, for sovereign debt relief, for fair access to trade and financing, for equity in resource ownership, and for closing the digital divide so that “AI means Africa Included” captures the very essence of Nigeria’s place in the world. These are not abstract declarations, they are the lived realities that define our struggle as a nation. In the Senate, my motions and bills have been guided by these same convictions: •That justice must be pursued, whether through reparations for historical wrongs or reconciliation for national tragedies. •That dignity must be guaranteed, whether through attaining veto power at the UN security council, the establishment of a National Social Security Agency or by ensuring healthcare and education reforms that work for Nigerians at home. •That sovereignty must be protected, whether by stopping crude oil theft, ending gas flaring, or reclaiming control over our mineral wealth. •That opportunity must be created, whether through youth entrepreneurship, diaspora voting, indigenous participation in mining, or the expansion of our digital economy. Nigeria at 65 must choose to lead, not as a country of wasted potential, but as a nation that transforms its wealth into wellbeing for its people. We must secure our communities, empower our youth, modernize our infrastructure, and build institutions that outlive individuals. We must insist that no Nigerian is left behind. Not the farmer in the village, nor the entrepreneur in the city, or the vulnerable in need of support. Our journey is far from finished. But if we keep faith with one another, strengthen collaboration between the executive and legislature, and place people at the center of our policies, then this decade can be the turning point when Nigeria moves from survival to greatness. Happy Independence Day, Nigeria. As resilience meets hope, with courage we arise stronger. _Senator Ned Munir Nwoko
