In the name of rebranding Nigeria,project Abuja was created.Lagos was so overcrowded,deformed,lacked infrastructure and reputation for the project so little Abuja was created and termed new capital city.Its not even big enough to be called a city.It should be a district or at most,a town.All governments buildings with over blown budgets were built which was highly unnecessary.Presidential palace,your congress and embassies were forced to relocate or have their embassies situated in the white elephant project of Abuja.Overblown budgeted international airport(again highly unnecessary because the Murtala Airport in Nigeria will be the ideal international airport)was built.It will be only used by these corrupt politicians because no business sites his headquarters or major office in Abuja.Majority of federal revenue was then used to build first class highways and roads throughout the city whilst Lagos who really needs these roads suffers very bad roads.Big empty estates and hotels were built with the best of security personnels kept in the city whilst the majority of insecure states lack enough security.Every major project in the country is done in Abuja with billions of naira buh the funny thing is in 2015 the population of Abuja was less than 1 million people compared to 24 million people in Lagos buh they take most of the federal projects competing with Lagos.No business activities goes on over there.They cut the city from the poor folks buh the folks still find ways to invade the looters and corrupt leaders paradise they have created.It takes a day for someone to move by road from Lagos to Abuja so if fact over 90%of Nigerians have never been to the capital paradise city.They have build stadias in the city buh they hardly use it.The city is a waste built to rebrand Nigeria's highly disreputed image whiles over hundred million of Nigerians leave below the poverty line.Abuja provides nothing to to the country unlike Tattered Niger Delta who provides all the oli revenue but suffers mist this kidnappings and terrorism in that state or Lagos the commer hub but worse city in Africa aside war torn cities.Upon all these Abuja enjoying more development than all the states,it still ranks as top ten worse city to leave in with no basic stable electricity.Sad.Read this https://adeola.blog/tag/white-elephant-project/
