We were supposed to sign both Lisandro and Antony but Ajax reneged on the agreement after selling a couple of players and raised Antony's price that's why we didn't sign him since.

Gakpo deal is heavily dependent on PSV's UCL qualification even though it is reported that he wants to join United regardless so, it makes it easier assuming Ajax refuses to deal on Antony.

We were linked to Casemiro just a couple of days back and now, he is a Manchester United player. FDJ is your classic CM in a double pivot. Under ETH, he was the most advanced in that double pivot with L.Shone who played as the DM. FDJ is known for carrying the ball and breaking lines with his passes. He's not really known for defending like Casemiro or even players like Busquet.

Barca fans want him to replace Busquet but that will never happen because he's too mobile, he just doesn't stay one place and act as that fulcrum or a screen Infront of the defence. I think he'll be sold....

After Jose got Pogba in 2016, he knew that midfield still needed another maestro and he gave Woodward a list that contained Milinkovic-Savic. Woodward saw the list and threw it into the bin. He got a cheaper option(Fred) instead.

Casemiro is a dedicated destroyer. Something the team has been missing for so many years.

Mou opted for Matic.. SMS isn't even a DM. He's a white Pogba, a ball carrier like FDJ but with a little defensive strength.

De Jong isn’t a destroyer. I am not sure what Ten Hag saw that made him pursue De Jong for 3 months.

His defensive attributes are dirt poor, one of the lowest in Europe’s top 5. He’s a good passer of the ball and he can carry and progress the ball.

However, if there were to be a turnover, De Jong cannot do anything to stop the opposition and United’s defence is super weak.

ETH idea was and is to get a CM and a CDM. Signing Frenkie wasn't the end of a CDM pursuit. He wants FDJ coz he's a good ball carrier. If we get him.. FDJ and Casemiro will play double pivot. Casemiro as the destroyer and FDJ as a ball carrier and progressor. Something we really lack in our midfield
