jaydee87:
.. that question can only be answered wen u get the phone.. but thinks its going back to Verizon lock once u factory reset it...

jaydee87:
sure. if its not too expensive..

Thnks so much. I contacted d seller & he just confirmed to me now: "It s a Verizon locked phone ... factory reset is resetting it as if it was brand new out of the box"

D total cost of getting it down here + budgeted 5k unlocking fee is still affordable compared to d local price of it. So I'm going in 4 it now then I'll make arrangement 2 get it unlocked here.

Thnks once again.

jose556:
how long does it take to ship an android tablet from china to Nigeria. I just called nnokings nigeria line and the woman that picked was telling me even with express shipping its going to take weeks for one tab to arrive Nigeria.

B4 now, 1-2 dys (express o) bt wt d Nahco issue I think she just wanted to play safe thus telling u dat.

jaydee87:

Alright thnks. So u adv. I shld go ahead & pay 4 it....?

jaydee87:
@op congrats hope its quite cheap...
if the Verizon contract is expired, then it will be easy to unlock
it should not be more than 5k.
I unlocked S3 last month for 3k..although that was T-Mobile
just make sure u there wen they unlocking so they won't change it
the guy swapped my battery for a fake one so make sure u there.
all the best.

Thnks 4 your reply & advice on staying around when unlocking. Yea, d price affordable atleast compare to our local price & accessories coming wt it.

However, does "Verizon phone factory reset" suggest locked or unlocked phone?

weezii:
Locked already or unlocked Which does it say

Thnks. D seller did nt actually specified any bt just inscription wt "Samsung Galaxy ... Marble White (Verizon) Smartphone. Verizon phone factory reset"

@all. Just won a samsung smartphone bid on eBay bt suddenly noticed it was unlocked. Had expired Verizon contract. Can I go ahead & pay for it? Can it be unlocked here in Nigeria? Does anyone know what is the likely cost to unlock? Pls advice generally.

ONWARDBABA:
Do u stil av

Yes boss.

jerrygome:
I'll try to answer based on my experience.
No 1 I think yes they ship the same quality. But I will advise against buying top brands like Samsung, Apple and Nokia on aliexpress as they are MORE LIKELY TO BE CLONES
No 2 is answered on my No 1
No 3 If the seller can ship from China to Nigeria, I don't see the rationale behind shipping to USA first. I once got goods sent from China to Nigeria in four days using DHL
Others are free to share their own experience

justi4jesu:
1. Yes they ship same quality on Ebay like buying directly from Aliexpress. Don't buy branded products from China.
2. Hong kong sellers also sells china products.
3. Most chinese sellers ships directly to Nigeria, so there is no need of 3rd party to do that.

@jerrygome @justi4jesu, thnks a lot for d sweet answers.
