StellaGirlie:
Redmi and Xiaomi have been around for a while, but are they still the best in that ₦200k range? I’m hearing a lot about other brands lately too.
The cheaper ones are not in market anymore. The ones in market are close to 270.
If he can get the note 13. . good
Otherwise he can just go for the realme c75 or something similar

PhonesIp69-rated Phones In Nigeria (2025): Affordable Durability Is Finally Here by Jesutooni(op): 7:35pm On Jun 29, 2025
If you’ve ever lost a phone to water damage or a dusty job site, you know how important durability is. Luckily, you don’t have to spend a fortune anymore to get a tough device. In 2025, we’re seeing more smartphones in Nigeria with IP69 ratings...the highest level of dust and water protection available on consumer phones.

Here are a few standout options that combine toughness with everyday usability.

realme C75 & C75x

Price: around ₦225,000 – ₦265,000
IP Rating: IP66 / IP68 / IP69

The realme C75 and its slightly upgraded sibling, the C75x, are two of the most interesting phones on the market right now. realme has managed to pack flagship-grade water and dust protection into phones that cost less than ₦270,000 — something you rarely see at this price point.

They come with a large 6.72-inch display, a smooth 120Hz refresh rate, solid performance from the Helio G92 Max (on the C75), and a massive 5,828mAh battery. The C75x offers a bit more under the hood, including camera improvements and a more refined UI.

What stands out most is the fact that these phones don’t look or feel like “rugged phones.” They’re slim, modern, and stylish — yet tough enough to survive real-life accidents.

OPPO A5 Pro

Price: around ₦349,000
IP Rating: IP66 / IP68 / IP69 + MIL‑STD‑810H

If you're looking for something more heavy-duty, the OPPO A5 Pro delivers. This one’s made for users who need both durability and performance. It’s certified not just with IP69, but also military-grade shock resistance, making it ideal for fieldwork, travel, or unpredictable environments.

It’s pricier than the realme models, but you’re getting a sturdier build, better camera system, and more premium feel overall.

Umidigi Bison

Price: around ₦80,000 – ₦100,000 (depending on model/year)
IP Rating: IP68 / IP69K

The Umidigi Bison is a no-frills rugged phone that’s been around for a few years, but it's still relevant for anyone on a tight budget. It offers basic specs, a decent display, 6GB RAM, and a 128GB storage option, with full IP69K water and dust resistance.

It’s not the fastest phone on this list, but for ₦100k or less, it's a solid backup or work phone if durability is your main concern.

But it’s above many budget phones in the market. I feel Note50 and C61 might be budget phones, while the realme C75 is a midrange phone
You are very correct

Thank you for the clarification. I also share the same thoughts that C75 is a midrange phone which is why I got confused
It is indeed a midrange phone but ofc they need to sacrifice different things. People will go for whatever works for them. I think it's well balanced however

See no matter how hard you guys hawk this phone, if the price is not making sense compared to other comparable phones in the market (poco c61, poco c75 e.t.c) nobody will buy the overpriced junk.
Nobody is hawking anything, 😂😂😂 but wait for Q2 sales reports 🙏
