Origin:
Jesus was indeed a rich Man. His love for the poor was clear, though he led a simple life.

Solomon like his father was a King in charge of Kingdoms. So most of that wealth would have been public property.

Who owns the pyramids of Egypt today?

I love History.

1 Corinthians 1:30
But of Him you are in Christ Jesus, who became for us wisdom from God…

It is believed that there has never been a wealthier king than King Solomon. God gave him wisdom that not only made him wise in matters of justice, but also brought him gold and silver. (1 Kings 3:12–13)

According to a report by the Illinois Society of Architects in 1925, the cost of Solomon’s temple in terms of existing values would have been about US$87 billion! The priests wore garments costing more than US$10 million! These amounts only cover what Solomon spent on the temple and not his personal assets.

We can go on talking about the riches of King Solomon, but the Bible tells us that there is one greater than Solomon. (Matthew 12:42) His name is Jesus, and He is the most prosperous Man who ever lived and who will ever live.

If there was a need to feed the hungry, He simply multiplied whatever food was placed in His hands. On one occasion, He multiplied five loaves and two fish to feed 5,000 men, not counting women and children. And incredibly, there were 12 baskets full of leftovers. (Matthew 14:15–21)

If any of His own faced lack, it was not long before abundant provision flowed to them. Once, when His disciples caught nothing after a whole night of fishing, He merely spoke a word of command and schools of fish obeyed, swimming toward His disciples’ boat so that they received a net-breaking, boat-sinking load of fish. (Luke 5:1–7) In another incident, He provided the money for the temple tax, even if it took a fish to bring it to them! (Matthew 17:24–27)

My friend, this same Jesus has become for you wisdom from God. If you are a businessman, with Christ in you, you have wisdom that is greater than the wisdom of all the world’s business gurus put together. And if you are a student, Christ in you will manifest wisdom that is greater than all the wisdom of the brilliant minds in the academic world.

Beloved, believe that because Jesus, God’s wisdom, is in you, there is no reason you cannot prosper today, and astound the world in the same way Solomon did!

Thought For The Day

Because Jesus, God’s wisdom, is in you, there is no reason you cannot prosper today.

Christianity EtcAm I Still Worthy? - Jack Kelley by jiggaz(op):
QUESTION =. I have recently quit my job because I was lusting over a married woman there. I have never in my life had such a strong sexual desire for a woman – it was driving me crazy, I couldn’t hardly think of anything else. She had suggested that her marriage was all but over and I had hoped that we would be together when they divorced. Also I had hoped her husband would die while alternately being guilt ridden and telling the woman we must stop and that I would pray for her marriage. Long story short: I became obsessed with this woman and it consumed my whole life. Finally I quit the job and told her not to ever contact me again – and I meant it.

But during all this affair, I have entered into a spiritual darkness that I cannot even begin to describe. I wonder if I have quit the job so that I will not sin or so I will not be miserable with frustration.

My whole life has been marked with seasons of sin and turning from sin. So now I am here in this deep anguish of soul wondering why, if I am a believer, have I lived such a life with so many episodes of blatant, willful sin? Am I now just heartbroken over my circumstance and running to God? Is that what I have always done? I wonder if I am just a big fraud.

ANSWER =. If you were truly obsessed with the woman, as you seemed to be, then you were right to quit. 1 Cor. 10:13 promises that we won’t be tempted beyond our ability to stand up under it, but that God will provide a way out. By prompting you to quit, God made good on that promise. What you’re dealing with now is the guilt that Satan us using to try and steal your victory. He can’t have you but he can, and certainly is, making you miserable.

Having resisted the woman you now have to resist the devil (James 4:7-8 ) Don’t question your motives in confessing, only God can do that. Draw near to Him and He’ll draw near to you. Every Christian continues to sin, many much worse than you. But God is faithful and will always forgive and forget.

The Parable of the Prodigal Son was written for situations like yours. (Luke 15:11-32 ) Study it until you understand in your heart that though the prodigal left home to pursue a life of sin, he never stopped being his father’s son. And the moment he turned back toward home his father forgave him and restored him.

No one else can help you in this situation until you decide that you are the Prodigal, and once you do decide you won’t need anyone to help you. Satan has built a stronghold in your mind over this, but you have weapons with the divine power to demolish strongholds and every pretension that sets itself up against the knowledge of God (2 Cor. 10:3-5 )

The pretension is that you’re no longer worthy to be a child of God, but the Bible says that no one can snatch you out of His hand.( John 10:27-30 ) Not even you. He didn’t save you because of how you behave. He saved you because of what you believe.

When you finally accept that, you will realize that God has already forgiven you and you will be able to do the same. Then you’ll have achieved the victory and Satan will flee.

Christianity EtcJesus' Authority Has Been Given To Us - Joseph Prince by jiggaz(op): 7:13am On Jan 18, 2017
Matthew 28:18–19
And Jesus came and spoke to them, saying, “All authority has been given to Me in heaven and on earth. Go therefore

When God created man, He gave man authority to have dominion over everything on earth. (Genesis 1:26) But when man sinned, he gave this authority to Satan. And when man's authority was transferred to Satan, Satan brought in diseases, poverty, strife, bitterness, pain, loss and death. He messed up everything on earth for man.

"Pastor Prince, why didn't God just grab the devil by the neck and throw him out of the garden?" God did not do that because He is a judicial God. It was a man who gave away his authority to Satan. So it had to be a man who would legally take it back. And God has done this through a Man. His name is Jesus!

By His death on the cross, Jesus righteously restored all that man had lost. That is why, just before He went back to heaven, He said, “All authority has been given to Me in heaven and on earth. Go therefore…” Those words tell us that He has transferred His authority to us. The same authority that He had over the storm, evil spirits, sicknesses, diseases and even death is now ours to use.

So when there are reports of a flu epidemic and of young children falling sick in the media, know that you have dominion over the epidemic. Declare, “By the authority given to me in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ, this flu virus will not come near my children. I plead the blood of Jesus over them.”

If you have been told that your family has a history of heart disease, take dominion and declare, “By the authority given to me in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ, I destroy every form, manifestation and hereditary cause of this disease. By His blood, my family has been redeemed from this and every other curse.”

My friend, the authority which has been restored to us is not just the authority on earth which man had before the fall, but Jesus’ unquestionable and complete authority in heaven and on earth!

Thought For The Day

The same authority that Jesus had over the storm, evil spirits, sicknesses, diseases and even death is now ours to use.

A Bible Study by Jack Kelley

Even in the midst of our very worst rebellion, we can’t stop being our Father’s children.

Prodigal means “given to extravagant expenditure.” The word never appears in the parable of Luke 15 , or anywhere else in the Bible for that matter. I think the Lord would have titled this story, “The Parable of the Two Sons,” because we’re to learn from the behavior of both. But since He didn’t, we tend to focus on only the “bad” son and miss the lesson in the behavior of the “good” one.

I’ve described parables as heavenly stories put into an earthly context, where each major facet of the story is to be viewed symbolically. For example, in this parable the Father represents our Father in Heaven, the sons are types of believers, and the inheritance, a believer’s position and privilege as a child of God. As I’ll demonstrate one of those is permanent and the other conditional.

The Prodigal

You know the story. One son, the younger one, asks for his share of the inheritance and upon receiving it goes off to a far place where for a time he lives a life “given to extravagant expenditure,” hence the parable’s name. The older son remains at home, apparently obedient to his father’s wishes.

Soon his money is gone and the younger son is poverty-stricken. Realizing that his father’s servants have it better than he does, he decides to return home and hire on as a servant there. But his father, seeing him in the distance runs out to meet him, immediately restores his former privileges and orders a big celebration in his honor.

The Un -prodigal

The older son is scandalized by all this and resentful, complaining that for disobedience his younger brother is being rewarded, but by being faithful he has been taken for granted and received nothing. In a loving way, the father reminds him that “you are always with me and everything I have is yours, but we had to celebrate and be glad, for this brother of yours was dead and is alive again, he was lost and is found” (Luke 15:31-32 ).

Interpretation Please

In the historical context of the passage, some Pharisees were criticizing the Lord for associating with sinners and eating with them. Remember, in those days religious lawbreakers were ostracized from society, and sharing a meal with them was unthinkable. The very fact that the Pharisees were pointing this out identifies the sinners as Jewish, subject to the law. Since the Lord used the parable in response to the criticism, the two brothers represent the Pharisees and the sinners.

His earlier claim that “there will be more rejoicing in heaven over one sinner who repents than over 99 who don’t need to” (Luke 15:7 ), was obviously aimed at those same Pharisees, and the older brother’s behavior mirrors their self-righteous attitude toward the Lord’s dinner companions. We know that there isn’t even one who doesn’t need to repent, and that no one will be declared righteous for keeping the law (Romans 3:10, 20 ). That’s why there’s more rejoicing in Heaven over sinners who repent than righteous people who don’t need to. There aren’t any who don’t need to, and that’s one lesson to be learned from the older brother. “ Take the plank out of your own eye,” the Lord advised,
“before removing the speck from your brother’s” (Matt. 7:5 ).

What About Now?

Since it’s a timeless story, the two brothers also represent the so-called faithful and fallen among Christians today. Just as there were no righteous Pharisees then, there are no truly faithful now. I have personally witnessed miraculous acts performed by the Holy Spirit through me as well as others, but I have never seen a mountain moved “from here to there,” a feat possible if we possessed faith even the size of a mustard seed (Matt. 17:20 ). Just as I don’t buy the older son’s claim of unblemished devotion and obedience and the Pharisees claim of righteousness, I don’t buy the church’s claim of faithfulness. The advice from
Matt. 7:5 still applies.

And there are no fallen in the church, though many have stumbled. “My Father’s will is that I shall lose none of those He has given me,” the Lord promised (John 6:39-40 ). It has always been the Shepherd’s job to keep the sheep. So here’s another lesson from the older brother. It’s not about behavior, it’s about relationship. No matter what he did, the Prodigal never stopped being a son.

The most important lesson from the parable comes from what isn’t said. In welcoming his errant son home and restoring his privileges, the father didn’t say, “My son who was bad has become good” but rather “My son who was lost is found.” Even in the midst of our very worst rebellion, we can’t stop being our Father’s children. Like the Prodigal son, we may yield up our privileges for a time but we can never lose our position in the family of God.
