Why can't they make import duty on electric cars, solar equipments lower?

Secondly, why do the FEC members need another car? Those clowns have more than 5 cars each in their car park and they want government to buy another one for them. Misplaced priority!

Politics / Re: MPC Will Keep Making Efforts To Reduce Inflation Rate – Cardoso by jmoore(m): 6:51am On May 14
You have increased interest rates many times and inflation did not reduce. You still want to continue to raise it? Doing same thing over and over again that keeps ending in futility.

Inflation that is mostly caused by petrol subsidy removal which increased fuel price by 300% is what you want to tackle by increasing interest rate? Will an increase in interest rate make petrol to be sold at 200 naira per litre?

I can bet you right now that they would rather play in Europa than allow that team Arsenal to win the league.
They should have lost their game against Burnley if that's their plan.

Thanks so much.

When you talking about batteries, you refering to inverters, right?
No, inverter is not the same thing as battery.

Battery produces Direct current. For you to power appliances in your home, you have to convert Direct current (DC) to Alternating current (AC). Inverter is what is used to do the conversion.

What can give you power at night is battery.

so guys my set up is as follows

-3.5kva 24 v yohako hybrid inverter
-4 (220AH) batteries
-12 (300W) solar panels
-60A felicity charge controller

I have been partially off-grid, i only get 24 hrs light from Nepa in a week and the rest has been on the solar grid. During the day with everything on, the inveter fridge, inverter deep freezer, the ceiling fans, the standing fans, the washing machine, TVs. With everything on during the day i draw 400w-700w but when the evening come, the max i draw is 200w and then at night time( bed time) i draw 90w-100w till the morning when the sun comes out.

i must say this journey has been a wonderful one for me. I hardly on generator only when they want to grind in the evenings and that will be for like 20mins.
Budget is?

Politics / Re: Cybersecurity Levy For Telcos, Financial Institutions Not Citizens– Senator Buba by jmoore(m): 8:58pm On May 12
Let’s look at what is obtainable in developed countries.

Cyber insurance, also called cyber liability insurance or cybersecurity insurance, is a contract an entity can purchase to help reduce the financial risks associated with doing business online. In exchange for a monthly or quarterly fee, the insurance policy transfers some of the risks to the insurer.
Cybersecurity is not only for banks, any business that has a presence online is prone to cyberattacks.
In 2011, hackers breached Sony's PlayStation Network, exposing the personally identifiable information (PII) of 77 million PlayStation user accounts. The breach prevented users of PlayStation consoles from accessing the service, an outage that lasted for 23 days. Sony incurred more than $171 million in costs related to the breach. Portions of this cost could have been covered by a cyber insurance policy, but Sony didn't have one in place. A court case ruled that Sony's insurance policy covered damage to physical property only, leaving Sony to incur the full amount of costs related to cyber damages.

Investment in cybersecurity by businesses Businesses with presence online need to use their own funds to protect their company from cyberattacks. JPMorgan Chase shared that they spend about $600 million yearly to protect their business.

Finally, Tinubu’s government should abolish the cybersecurity act and discard it in the dustbin. The reason they gave that it will be used tackle cybercrimes and terrorism holds no water. It is obviously a poorly formulated way to impose more taxes.
Politics / Re: Military Uncovers Over 50 Illegal Refining Sites In Bayelsa Forest by jmoore(m): 7:17pm On May 12
brain54:

The key word here is "upgraded..."

Take note of the word.

The major reason why those illegal refinery sites are that way is because they are stealing crudeoil and can leave at a moments notice and they have not been certified to meet environmental laws and standards.

They are just there to steal crude and don't care about the environment because of course there are illegal.

The point is you can clean up those sites we're they operate, upgrade them to modular refineries and make them legal. That way you solve the damage they cause to the environment.

Don't be dramatic with your virgin and prostitute analogy. grin

It doesn't apply in this circumstance!

What is there to upgrade? Which tangible asset is even in the illegal refineries?

Do you know how much it will cost to clean up that enviroment?

It is better to get a clean land and build a modular refinery from scratch.

Have you ever heard of a modular refinery...?

Those illegal bunkering refineries you see can be upgraded to modular refineries.

The guy you quoted is on point.

Dangote will invest in a conventional refinery because of the scope and scale of production and market targets he plans to meet.

Don't rubbish those things... You can make sense out of nonsense!

It is like saying that you want to turn a prOstitute to a virgin.
Do you even know how these jagajaga refinery looks like?
