I made a tremendous amount of money on real estate. I'll take real estate rather than go to Wall Street and get 2.8 percent. Forget about it. Ivana Trump |
Since yesterday I arrived in Bori from PH, I have not closed my eyes in sleep. Massive shooting between men of the Nigerian Army and some well armed restive youth loyal to an ex-militant leader popularly known as SOLO. The campaign office of senator magnus Abe was set ablaze. It is believed here that the senator is the one instigating the military against SOLO. Some other people were reportedly killed in Yeghe community by the army, but that I can’t confirm. But Bori became very restive today as the men of the Nigerian Army started shooting sporadically, aiming directly at innocent people. The information we heard is that the armed youth killed some military personnel last night, so the army was out for revenge. This young okada man was shot death by men of the Nigerian Army with two other women who later died in the hospital. Right now, Bori is a ghost land, everyone is indoor. The worst is that the men of the Nigerian Army that are supposed to protect the people from this armed criminals are the ones killing the people. There’s no need for an expensive gym membership or hi-tech equipment to slim down this year. Here are a few suggestions for creating a home gym, even in a small space. 1)Designate a fitness space Regardless of whether your workout space is an entire room or just the width of a yoga mat, take steps to separate it from the rest of your living area. Experts agree a dedicated space helps keep you motivated. A room divider can help separate your home gym equipment from the rest of your life — and prevent it from becoming a drying rack for your laundry. 2)Admire and inspire A home gym mirror can make all the difference when it comes to checking your alignment and preventing injury. It can also give you a way to check your progress, or keep an eye on those love handles for extra motivation. 3)Equip yourself wisely If you’re short on space you can find treadmills, rowers, TRX machines and even an exercise bike in fold-away options. Adjustable weight sets take up a fraction of the space of a whole set of dumbbells. And a chin-up bar across a doorway takes up no floor space at all. 4)Turn the music up An upbeat playlist can be a huge motivator for going the extra mile. Install speakers in your workout space, or find portable ones that can link to your phone. STAYING HEALTHY IS THE FIRST STEP TO BECOMING WEALTHY

MANDELA TO NIGERIA... “YOU know I am not very happy with Nigeria. I have made that very clear on many occasions. Yes, Nigeria stood by us more than any nation, but you let yourselves down, and Africa and the black race very badly. Your leaders have no respect for their people. They believe that their personal interests are the interests of the people. They take people’s resources and turn it into personal wealth. There is a level of poverty in Nigeria that should be unacceptable. I cannot understand why Nigerians are not more angry than they are. “What do young Nigerians think about your leaders and their country and Africa? Do you teach them history? Do you have lessons on how your past leaders stood by us and gave us large amounts of money? You know I hear from Angolans and Mozambicans and Zimbabweans how your people opened their hearts and their homes to them. I was in prison then, but we know how your leaders punished western companies who supported Apartheid. “What about the corruption and the crimes? Your elections are like wars. Now we hear that you cannot be president in Nigeria unless you are Muslim or Christian. Some people tell me your country may break up. Please don’t let it happen. “Let me tell you what I think you need to do. You should encourage leaders to emerge who will not confuse public office with sources of making personal wealth. Corrupt people do not make good leaders. Then you have to spend a lot of your resources for education. “Educate children of the poor, so that they can get out of poverty. Poverty does not breed confidence. Only confident people can bring changes. Poor, uneducated people can also bring change, but it will be hijacked by the educated and the wealthy...give young Nigerians good education. Teach them the value of hard work and sacrifice, and discourage them from crimes which are destroying your image as a good people.” (Excerpts taken from a 2007 interview with Mandela conducted by Dr Hakeem Baba-Ahmed). God help Nigeria.
