A desperate student of Offa Polytechnic, Kwara state has sold her 3-week-old baby for N70K
The suspect identified as Idiat Babatunde reportedly handed her baby over to a traditional medical doctor, Onalaja Olawole who in turn sold the innocent baby to a childless couple in Lagos.
Idiat agreed to sell her baby to one Mr & Mrs Ayogbemile for N300,000 but they could only raise N136,000 which she later agreed to collect from them.

The Muslim Eid al-Adha prayers in Ilorin, capital of Kwara state were this morning disrupted as the country’s embattled Senate president, Bukola Saraki was pelted with stones and pure water sachets as he arrived in his car convoy.
The chaos caused by the stoning of the senate president who has been charged with 13 counts of corruption and false asset declaration, caused the prayers to be disrupted with the loud speakers not calling the prayers and several thousands of faithfuls unable to say the prayers.
People were gathered to patiently stone him after the prayers. NewsRescue reporters saw stones flying into the sky.

Fresh multiple explosions have rocked Ajilari Railway cross of Gomari Airport ward of Maiduguri leaving scores of people dead and critically injured. Sources living around the affected areas have said.

Ajilari cross is an outskirt of Maiduguri which has witnessed series of Boko Haram attacks including bombings in recent past.

The explosions which was suspected to have been masterminded by suicide bombers occurred simultaneously yesterday, at about 7:38pm, while the last one took place at about 8pm which has forced many residents to flee into main city for safety. more information on this blast which occured in the late hours of yesterday.
