There was someone who went to SA on an official assignment.He was almost lynched by some SA boys who were smoking and drinking.After hearing he was on an official assignment, they left him and told him to watch his back.
There are many more scenarios I can't type all.

I love the seas

I know that's what you meant.. But why Nigerians and not people from the DRC (huge numbers living here) or, Zimbos, Ghanaians? etc..
We have millions of foreign nationals from across the continent and the world living here in relative peace/harmony with locals without incident so SAs are not anti foreigners.
The problem is with those involved in widespread criminality. unfortunately, until this is actioned (especially in marginalised communities where flair-ups happen) I can see this happening again if our economy fails to create mass jobs for the unemployed. Crime by foreign nationals (overrepresented by Nigerian men/ drugs, sex trafficking... ) exacerbates the situation.
If you are working legally and not involved in crime like many Nigerian professionals, you have little to worry about.
