According to the SS I posted earlier, activation is self done.

Yap, but Korean and US variants mostly get updates faster especially the Korean variants, not actually lg fault cos lg will send it to the network carriers, those ones will modify it before dishing it out which will take another time

If I'm getting another LG phone in future, I will just get with the Korean variant.

AT&T don't have services in Africa (if I get your question correctly).

What I meant by having an AT&T SIM is just to help with receiving OS update.

Don't get the at&T variant if you haven't. The AT&T variant needs the SIM to get OS update. But if u have the SIM, go ahead.

PS: yes, it can be network unlocked.

LG software support is just not unacceptable TBH. Maybe it's this bad cuz they sell most of 'em phones through network carriers.

They need to work on marketing.

Sprint is sh*t. It will take a miracle for them to push A10. It took them forever to push A9, I'm planing on rooting the phone in coming months and just flash lineage OS based on A11.

PS: there's nothing special with A10 tho.
