Is it true that one can only use the default themes on the MIUI 10 ?

I'm still on 9.6.4.0 ( RN5 AI ). I was about to update but I'm reading complaints on the MIUI Forum that the latest MIUI 10 doesn't allow other themes apart from default unlike the previous softwares.

Please, is that a fact ?

One thing I love the most about Xiaomi phones is the UI and the beautiful wallpapers / themes that one can download and apply on their phones. For example, I currently have and use the Samsung S9+ theme on my phone.

If this isn't possible anymore on the new MIUI 10, then I'm not updating.

cc sunkyphil has that been your experience in the MIUI 10 ?

Most of the themes in the theme app are not compatible with MIUI 10 but you can customise it using previously downloaded themes e.g you can select Icons, dial pad etc from a previous theme you have and customise the default MIUI 10

I've done all, d full Rom flash jst installed like an update and I still wiped and did data reset and Android system is still dealing with me

Very easy to do. It doesnt even affect update through OTA. The most important thing to note is when writing the command code in the step 10 because it requires patience and you have to put space carefully where it is needed unless you will start all over again. The lens is a beast when you explore finish, trust me. It brings out the beast in the lens.

So I finally got hold of my redmi note 5 from maceybyland, very nice dude.
I updated the software to mui 9.5.13.0 immediately I inserted my sim. However, I noticed that the battery is not as good as y'all are taunting to be here. My redmi 4x battery lasts longer compare with note 5 pro. Heck even my old fashioned redmi 4a battery would give this note 5 run for it's money.
Could this be software issue or the battery isn't good?

It's the update, it has some bugs. I haven't updated mine yet because of reviews I saw on this update.

It still disappears on mine. I think it is normal for network to disappear on the data sim when calls are being made on the other sim that's not used for data.

OK let me put it this way. My signal gets lost once I make calls or calls come through but after VoLTE came up, it's stable.

Thanks. Method 3 worked, previously VoLTE was missing and it was not possible to toggle it from phone information but after trying the method, it worked.

I don't think it's activated on Global version, I don't get VoLTE as well on mine.
