"What makes you think I should be the one dead and not you? I mean let's look at it, are you in anyway better than me?" As Aisha spoke, her voice rose, and her anger spiked. She couldn't be dead. No one understood how hard she'd had it in life and just when her big break came, the God who was always used to sabotaging her pulled a big one on her again. "Look, I don't even know what I'm saying. If you're truly dead..." "Which I'm not!" "If you're not dead…then fine! But if you are and I'm seeing you, then that means I've gone crazy in my sleep because people don't just wake up with a ghost on front of their mirror." Bisola shivered as she recalled the moment she'd seen Aisha sitting on her bed. "I have to be dreaming." "Oh I hope you are. I really hope so because if any of this is true then I'm dead." Aisha replied as luck would have it. Four more hours went by with Bisola not being able to shut her eyes or even take to the comfort of her bed because Aisha had taken over. She'd said she needed to lie down because she felt lightheaded. She'd promise to leave when it was much brighter outside and both ladies had agreed that neither of them were crazy. Bisola wasn't seeing things that weren't there and Aisha wasn't dead. At exactly seven a.m.,... http://www.ifitcraze.com/2015/11/read-story-second-chance-chapter-five.html |
Bisola could hear her wall clock ticking and the wind blowing, her body is frozen from head down to her toes, and so is her mouth. She tried to scream as the figure drew closer but nothing came out. Her throat was dried up. She shudders as the room became frigid than before. The figure came nearer and Bisola drew back in fear, her fingers holding on tightly to her bedsheets. She wasn't sure what was going on. She could be dreaming, she concluded. Shut your eyes, it'll be gone soon… just close your eyes, she said to herself as she counted from one to fifteen. She reopened her eyes to find the five-six figure sitting next to her on her bed. Thick veins swelled through her pale skin. Her jet black hair glowed ethereally as the light from Bisola's bedside lamp hit it. She looked at the frighten girl in front of her with eyes that were as black as the darkest night and empty as the nothingness she felt. Bisola could almost see herself in them. The girl who looked not a day older than Bisola was wearing a beautiful silk own as dark as the crimson color of blood. Even though she was sitting at the edge of the bed, the silkiness of the dress highlighted every curve on her body. Her lips were...... http://www.ifitcraze.com/2015/11/read-story-second-chance-chapter-four.html |
It was Bisola's final year in university and she'd been seeing this guy named Tunde for about three years. He was everything her mind wanted and friends demanded from her at the time they'd first started but although her heart ached for more she knew she wasn't caught out for love. Bisola who has never been in love before knew what it meant to not be in love with someone. Tunde gave her money-oriented things but his heart wasn't hers and he just couldn't love her. Bisola was on the verge of selling her joy and happiness all because of money. He was her sponsor, as in, the guy was loaded and all he needed was a woman who would warm his bed and the other thing Bisola knew nothing about. She smiled at the mirror each day, looking at herself in each new dress he bought her but on the inside she felt dirty. Everyone was jealous that she'd found herself a man who could buy her the world but no one knew the price she was paying for these luxury and if they knew, Bisola wasn't sure what the world would say. She took a deep breath and dropped the gown she'd been fumbling with back in the hanger. "Bisi! Ah ha! Has this girl gone deaf? Bisola answer me joor!" Sandra shouted at her friend and Bisola stared back at her with a blank expression on her well painted face. "Is this dress okay for the party?" Her friend asked, raising up a blue chiffon dress. And there Bisola was, standing still as if someone poured cold water on her. Another stern glare from her friend made her snap back to reality. "I'm sorry dear, I was…" "Yeah I know, but where does your mind fly to most of the time? Sometimes I feel like you're not here, actually this has been happening too frequently lately" "I'm sorry naa… mabinu. I promise it won't happen again." "That's what you said the last time." "Okay, okay… that red dress though, ah you wan cause traffic?" Bisola hailed to ease the tension between them..... http://www.ifitcraze.com/2015/11/love-story-second-chance-chapter-one.html |
