Okowa lost his so called popularity in 2023. He managed to squeeze the votes out of Deltans to secure the governorship for Sheriff in 2023, just the night before the election. Sheriff would have lost the governorship after the defeat of Okowa during the presidential election.

Next was Nwoko who collaborated with Okowa in Delta north. He also managed, as Delta north was an LP controlled area and the LP senatorial candidate, Ken Kanma, lost by a very slim margin, going by the courts. He is waiting to get his pound of flesh under NDC. Do not forget that Okowa and Ibori led Sheriff and the entire PDP structure to APC. The same PDP is factionalized and a part of the faction is waiting to stop APC in 2027. If APC fails to address the Ned Nwoko question, know that he will get his supporters to vote for the NDC candidate, thereby stopping Okowa from winning the election in 2027. That will be his joker.

Again, Ned Nwoko has been a strong agitator for Anioma state creation. Okowa plays politics with it and does not view it strongly. That may count against Okowa in Delta north, as most of the people are in strong support for the creation of a new state to add the the SE states.

Those are very minor differences compared to anioma people that fully bear igbo names with deep meanings in igbo and even speak a language other igbos in the south east states understands perfectly. They noticed a mistake they never envisaged in the initial war were Iran threatened to raise oil price above normal thereby affecting the US economy and the world at large.
By UAE pulling out from opec and ready to pump as high as possible to keep the price of oil down no matter how long the war goes, it gives the US the breathing room to be able to fight for long with oil price down and Russia not profiting from the high oil price the war may cause.

I don't know why people compare tribalism to racism but the difference is clear.
A tribalist mostly have no problem with you unless you want to start having a say in his local politics thereby feeling threatened and may not like you again but with racism, it is a new high bar.
Where I work, whites don't eat where we blacks do. They have there own dinning table you dare not go to eat.
They wash and keep there own spoons, forks and knives because they don't want to keep it in the general place for the fear we will use it or they use ours. It is as if we are walking diseases.

Anioma people are Western igbo (just like you have Eastern igbos). They are the famous Ekumeku warriors that fought the British for 30 years. The British even acknowledged that they are igbo people. They have an identity and its an insult to call them Sout-south.

That means the new state slot given to the south east should be created from the current five states in the south east there's no way igbos will allow the slot freely given to them will be allowed to be given to anioma and still remain in the south south geopolitical zone making the total states there to be seven while the south east will remain five states that's going to be a monumental political blunder.

Even the name Anioma is Igbo. The people of Anioma bear Igbo names. If an Anioma person commits a crime whether in Nigeria or abroad, just his name alone will implicate the larger Igbo tribe like Nzeogwu did in the lead up to the civil war.

Even the Ifeanyi Okowa speaking confirmed that he is an Igbo man during the 2023 election campaigns. So why is he running away from their shadow? If u had research well u would have know that The Anioma is an acronmy of the 9 LGA in Delta north. The first letters were picked to form that word.
