The 🇷🇺 Russian scientific team prepared the artificial satellite "Bion-M," which in its new mission carried out even more interesting research into space. On board are 75 mice and 1,500 flies.

To launch the satellite into orbit, the "Soyuz-2.1b" rocket was used, and it reached cosmic orbit in only 9 minutes 23 seconds. The high technology and stability of the rocket provided scientists with a satisfactory result.

Scientists plan to study in detail, using the mice and flies placed on "Bion-M" №2, how cosmic radiation and Earth's geomagnetic field affect living organisms. Through these studies, important data will be obtained for long-term human space travel in the future.

The satellite is planned to remain in orbit for 30 days, during which continuous monitoring and scientific observations will be conducted. "Bion-M" №2 is created as a hermetic device, and modern scientific instruments are placed in its internal and external parts.

Inside, besides mice and flies, there are medicinal plants, various seeds, algae, microorganisms, as well as root cells of humans and animals. This provides an opportunity to determine how different biological objects react to various effects in the space environment.

According to scientific sources, from 1973 to 1996, 11 "Bion" satellites were launched into space. On their board were monkeys, mice, bats, guppies, insects, and even single-celled organisms.

These historical missions form the basis of the modern "Bion-M" program and are the first steps of contemporary research.

Now, with the launch of "Bion-M" №2 into orbit, even wider and more complex research has begun. Scientists aim to observe organisms' reactions in space in detail and lay the foundation for new scientific discoveries.

Thus, interesting and important information is presented not only to the scientific community but also to every space enthusiast.

A fire burned aboard a 🇺🇸 US Navy warship anchored off Okinawa for 12 hours, injuring two sailors, a statement from the Navy’s 7th Fleet in Japan said.

The fire aboard the USS New Orleans, an amphibious transport dock ship with a crew of more than 360 sailors and capable of carrying 800 troops, began about 4 p.m. local time on Wednesday and was extinguished early Thursday morning, according to the statement.

But a statement from the Japan Coast Guard, which helped fight the fire, said firefighting efforts did not end until just after 9 a.m. local time and that an investigation was underway to determine whether it was fully extinguished.

Two sailors suffered injuries and were treated in on-board medical facilities, the Navy said.

When the fire broke out, the ship was at anchor off the White Beach Naval Facility, on the east coast of the Japanese island.

The facility serves as a staging area for US Marines and their equipment to deploy to amphibious ships like the New Orleans, which is 684 feet long with a displacement of 24,000 tons.

New Orleans’ crew was assisted in firefighting efforts by crews from the USS San Diego, which was also moored at White Beach, the Navy said.

The Japan Coast Guard, Japan Maritime Self-Defense Force, and other US Navy commands on Okinawa “provided critical support to the firefighting efforts,” the Navy statement said.

Images from Japanese public broadcaster NHK showed tugs spraying water on the front of the New Orleans.

The cause of the fire is under investigation, the 7th Fleet statement said.

A 🇺🇸 U.S. Navy F-18E Super Hornet fighter jet crashed into the Atlantic Ocean off the coast of Virginia on Wednesday ( August 20 ) during a routine training flight, CBS News reported.

The pilot of the fighter jet, from the 83rd Strike Fighter Squadron (3-VF) based at Oceana Air Force Base in Virginia Beach, ejected before the crash and was rescued from the water by Coast Guard search and rescue teams at approximately 11:21 a.m.

The wreckage of the fighter jet remains in the water, and an investigation has been launched to determine the cause of the crash.

This incident is the sixth loss of US Navy F-18 fighters in the past 10 months.

Earlier in October 2024, two pilots were killed in an EA-18G Growler fighter jet crash near Mount Rainier in Washington state.

Also in April and May 2025, two more F-18 fighters crashed in the Red Sea from the aircraft carrier USS Harry S. Truman.

The production cost of each F-18 Super Hornet fighter jet is estimated at around $67 million.

shocked Chai! Is this the emerging trend of the senseless wars? Demised humanity as the prize booty? God save us from becoming cannon folders.
Were you not one of the people cheering on the Ukranians to "defeat" Russia last year?

Well this is what "defeating" Russia looks like.

Now Zelensky & his NATO owners are running around looking for a ceasefire.

🇷🇺 Russia has returned the bodies of 1,000 Ukrainian soldiers, five of whom died while in Russian captivity, authorities in Kyiv said Tuesday.

Moscow had handed over the bodies of 1,000 Ukrainian soldiers and had received 19 bodies of its own fallen soldiers in return, the news agency said.

Ukraine’s Coordination Headquarters for the Treatment of Prisoners of War said the exchange was part of agreements reached during Russian-Ukrainian peace talks held in Istanbul earlier this summer.

The agency said the soldiers had died in southeastern Ukraine’s Donetsk, Luhansk and Zaporizhzhia regions, as well as in southwestern Russia’s border region of Kursk, which Ukrainian forces briefly occupied following a surprise incursion last August.

Moscow has not yet commented on the exchange.

The state-run news agency TASS, citing an anonymous source, reported that Russia received 19 bodies of its soldiers on Tuesday.

A similar 1,000-for-19 exchange took place on July 17.

Even Trump will laugh at this foolish statement.

Because everyone here has seen how Trump idolizes Putin. Putin is like his god.

He looks up to Putin and secretly wishes to be him

Putin is the overall boss of all Presidents. Russia is the overall power.
