Don't worry about ANDing right now. But if you must know, it's taking the IP address converting it to its binary bit formation and then taking the subnet mask and writing it out in binary.

When you our addresses are put together, a 0 and 1 bit yields a 0, a 0 and 0 bit yields a 0, but a 1 and 1 bit yields a 1. I'll explain more later. How is the assignment?

A concert by the pop star Jennifer Lopez in
Morocco has led to calls for the country's
communication minister to resign, according to local media. Prominent members of the ruling Justice and Development Party said the singer's performance at the Mawazine Festival in Rabat was "a breach of public decency".
The Minister of Communication Mustapha Khalfi was criticised for allowing the gig to air on public
television. He has rejected calls for his resignation,
newspapers say.
Lopez, who is often referred to as J-Lo, performed
in front of 160,000 people at the festival on Friday.
The event was transmitted, with a short delay, on
the 2M public TV network to the delight of fans.
But local media criticised the singer for her
"suggestive poses" and for being "scantily"
dressed. A number of MPs have requested that the
"education, culture and communications committee of parliament hold a meeting" to discuss why the show was broadcast.
Speaking on Twitter, Mr Khalfi said he planned to
contact 2M TV's ethics committee to discuss the
issue. "What was broadcast is unacceptable and goes against broadcasting law," he added.
Singer and producer Pharrell Williams also
performed at the festival over the weekend, with
Usher, Placebo and Maroon 5 also scheduled to
take to the stage over the coming days.

On a Mac/Linux machine you can also get the ip address by typing "ifconfig" in the command line.

You will be given ample time for the Subnetting problem I assigned you. Please let me know if you need any more helpful videos.

Correct can you also tell me how you get your internal IP address on a Mac/Linux Machine and on a Windows machine? That's easy I'm sure you already know how to do it.

With that said, since no one else is taking this assignment as seriously as you, your next assignment is to read about Subnets, Subnetting and VLSM (Variable Length Subnet Masking).

Getting the ip address on a Windows machine..
open command prompt, type ipconfig it shows it as IP Address..The Mac Address is the physical address.

Mac with OS
Open System Preferences from the  Apple menu
Click on “Network”
Select your currently active network connection Your IP address should appear under the
label "Status."

I'm still reading up subnetting. It's really tricky, hope I'll be given more time

yeah i knw...you cant transfer from verve to africard but access bank visa card can transfer but not too sure but sometime ago someone said it work.

Private ip addresses are used in local networks of organisations.. the can't connect directly to the internet[to connect to the internet, they'll need a router with a public ip]. It's ranges are from
Class A [10.0.0.1 to 10.255.255.254.]

Class B [172.16.0.1 to 172.31.255.254.]

Class C [192.168.0.1 to 192.168.255.254.]

One major reason why organisations go for it is because is because it enhances security [ it is difficult for an Internet host to connect
directly to an internal system]
