• University of Ibadan puts only post-utme score
into consideration when offering admission.
• The O-level results and UTME results are utilized
in inviting candidates for post-utme test through
their phone numbers.
Once invited and you score very high in post-utme,
you are as good as in
• Post-utme exercise consists of 100 questions in
total(25 each from the 4 subjects selected)
• Admission formula for invitation to post-utme is
60:40(60marks- Waec:40-UTME) which is obtained
after adding your O-level and UTME score using the
method above.
POINT TO NOTE: LAST ADMISSION STATISTICS.
Two years ago, 25,513 submitted their results online
but only 5,045 were invited for post-utme of which
3,131 scored 50 and above.they were recommend
for admission but only 2,849 showed up for
clearance and eventually matriculated. The
remaining 282 rejected their admission because
they were given other option since they failed to
meet their individual cut-off but scored above 50 as
required. .

until the cut-off is released on ui's official website, i don't believe this, although i wish these were the cutLoffs

By the way, i just heard that appx 210 people got above 70 for MBBS, there is hope for me at least....scource can't be disclosed

My sis studying in UI just scared the hell outa me, she said MBBS cut off is 80, only to call back and say it was that of last year

They put in extra effort to bag 70s and 80s, let's learn to acknowledge their superb effort. I'm always filled with joy when I see people who are ambitious.

When they nail A (73) in school, they're so hungry that they keep thinking on how they'll
improve in order to bag 90s.

Whoever that fails should not see it as the end of life, there's always room for improvement.

Ifeco4donz, MBBS guy, couldn't get 70 in 2013; he didn't give in to defeat, he tried harder in 2014, scored 80+ and got MBBS...

The Vice-Chancellor of University of Ibadan (UI), Prof Isaac Adewole Tuesday disclosed that the institution would only admit 3,700 candidates out of 8,992 that wrote the post University Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) last weekend.

He also added that five candidates who scored highest scores will be given scholarship by the premier institution.

‎Prof. Adewole who was represented by the Deputy-Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Emilolorun Ayelari‎ while addressing journalist yesterday disclosed that the result is now available at the institution’s website for candidates to view.

The candidates are: Adetunji AbdulRaham-55328333ED, scored 86, Law; Amaji Obinna Charles, 55110959DE scored 86, Medicine and Surgery, Adebiyi Tijesunimi-55361970BC, scored 85, Electrical and Electronics Engineering, Oke Dorcas-55974720AJ, 83, Medicine and Surgery and Olowosulu Cassandra Olawumi-56630251JB, 83 and also of Medicine and Surgery.

‎Adewole said:”23,200 candidates scored above 200 in UTME, 20,800 applied for the post UTME in our institution and only 19,268 took the screening and examination. Our new method of admitting students with the O’levels and UTME result has really reduced students from withdrawing at the first year due to poor performances.

“The performance of the five best candidates that were given automatic scholarship from this institution will b monitored and they may be retained after their studies here” he said.

Adewole warned members of the public not to influence the institutions admission officials for admission into the institution.”

The UI VC also admonished parents and guardians not to force courses of their choice on the children and wards but should allow them to study courses that they have the ability to cope with.

if u wanna know wah ur cut off will look,jst check check last year own for ur course and add between 5-10 extra marks to it.....said so coz Diaz every possibility dah d cut off will smoke weed diz year coz of population.....

My cousin scored 82 - MBBS
Then me myself scored 68 - Comp science.
Then my igbo friend scored scored 80 - MBBS (i expected him to do better sha since he did A'level and has a higher intellect than my cousin, well UI is unpredictable, atleast we made it).

samuel. when i called him with my cut off mark i was
kind of ashame to tell but he encourage me. my score
i have on my jamb now is enough to enter uniben. i
