My car AC has be giving a loud noise when powered on and I went for repairs today unfortunately I was asked to change the compressor.

Both Camry & Mazda AC compressor was presented to me, Toyota Camry compressor was about 175k while Mazda 80k both direct Belgium, I decided to go for Mazda considering the price and sure bet being direct Belgium.

The compressor was fixed, the hose connecting head replaced very chill & silent on the engine.

That is okay for now but we should be talking about durability. How longer will the Mazda compressor last, not sure as much as what you will get from a Toyota product

Some of our engineers/contractors are really wicked .
I once went to make delivery to a client in lekki phase II where an engineer was working for him.He saw my add here on nairaland and linked me to his engineer to supply him some stuffs. When I got there I noticed the tiles the engineer used for his sitting room was the worst of Nigerian ceramic tiles which can start washing anytime depending on the traffic within the space. This is a client that didn't bargain much on the price of the stuffs he bought from me which shows the money is there,even the engineer told me that whenever he want to update him he does that through Skype.

It's not about conversion from RHD to LHD because I speak from experience, even in the US, Avalon have low second hand value compared to Camry, and I know a friend that sold his Avensis like this at a give away price in 2021.

This car was converted from RHD to LHD and with all the electrical and mechanical issues is being sold for N4.7m. Guy, just leave it at N3m if you want it to be sold , na advice o.

Always call your drivers to order anytime you see him driving recklessly. Life has no duplicate.That was how one man who drove us from nassarawa to uyo was trying to overtake every vehicle on sight, even if na 2 tankers at the same time. I shouted on him to be careful, to my greatest surprise, two women at the back told me that I'm behaving like a woman, I should leave the driver alone, he knows what he's doing.

You never see anything, one foolish driver was making a phone call and at the same time overtaking two trucks on East West road. I corrected him and one lady said I should leave him that the driver is an expert and have been driving for years. I almost came down from the vehicle.

I have always wondered how someone will offer so much advice to a stranger even without collecting a dime. Solving so many problems even through a call and yet never met the person. My 2006 Toyota Camry i4 has a shudder with the following characteristics:
1. Vibrations start at around 50m/hr or 80km/hr.
2. Happens only on light throttle.
3. It goes away if I let off the throttle or press Down and it shifts to a lower gear.
4. Only happens after 5th gear when the rpm drops below 2000.

My suspicion is a faulty torque converter for the following reasons:
1. If I turn off Over Drive, limiting the transmission to 4 gears it never vibrates.
2. I’ve dropped the pan, cleaned and actually flushed the transmission fluid with T-IV. And it made no difference; so I know it’s not a fluid issue.
3. My tires are new and balanced
4. Car runs smoothly at same speed it usually vibrates when I turn off OD.
5. My engine mounts and shafts are tight with no clucks when I engage drive or reverse.

Please gurus am I on the right track? Your contributions will be greatly appreciated! If I am on the right track, how do I know a good replacement TC?

The issue you are having is with CV joint (Continuous Velocity), either the bearing or the cup is bad. Read through my link below, I had a similar problem and Nairalanders helped in solving it.
