This news is scam, I had first hand experience with MRS here in uselu shell, Benin city on the 31st of January, I bought fuel there at N1065\litre, I told them the price that was announced due to agreement with Dangote but they refused. I called the number that Dangote said we should call in such cases and I was told the line isn't in operation. I did transfer to them instead of cash so that I will have evidence. This is why many Nigerians don't believe news like this.

your writeup is misleading.. Today is still the 3rd of January 2025. Did you mean to write 1st of January 2025? Dangote started selling her fuel to marketers in 2024.

By the way, just a curious question.. Does Dangote hold any assurance that this scheme of naira to crude is going to be sustained by the govt and for how long? There are fears that this arrangement may not have a genuine commitment that will make the scheme to last factoring in the various interest groups in the oil market. If the scheme gets disrupted, then Dangote must source his crude internationally,,, of course, other cost elements then comes in. Still a long bumpy ride for Nigerians either way

How i wish it is possible for Dangote to sell refined products below NNPCL benchmark but... that all depends on the international CRUDE OIL MARKET price . at least we would have known where our problem is coming from.

Challenge is Dangote has been forced to source crude from outside which follows international crude price...

Big Question is why can FG sell our own crude to him at a subsidized price? Does our so called government really care about the plight of average Nigerians? Haba!

At least we for know if this is monopoly oriented.
