Nobody backed down from the Sharia panel for Muslims in Yoruba land. There is a difference between the Shari'a court and the shariàl panel. Muslims have inaugurated the Sharia panel for many years and the hypocrite are just shouting on social media that Muslims should not be allowed to practice their religion. In as much as Nigeria's constitution allows Muslims to practice their religion, likewise, the Sharia panel has come to stay.

Shariàl court can only be initiated by the government of the state while a shariàl panel can only be inaugurated by leaders of the Muslim.

If the Muslims in the Yorubaland have backed down, then why the noise in Ado Ekiti, why the noise by the governor of Ogun state, and why did the Sultan of Sokoto call out the hypocrisy of the people?

Whether you like it or not, the Shari'a panel has come to stay in Yorubaland. The panel has been practiced for many years in Yorubaland; I don't know why the noise is all about. Islamic law allow women who have children with her husband get share from his property when the man dies. Islamic law also allow women who has no child with her husband, a share in her husband property when the husband dies. This is not northern Nigeria.
