I once used that model of crv for about 5 years and I can categorically tell you that it is a rugged work horse.
Rugged engine & transmission. The only aspect that requires more attention is the front suspension especially the shafts and camber bushings. Once you hear any unusual sound, replace the parts immediately (don't re-work them).
Even with no rear A/C vents, the A/C chills the entire cabin so well that I have had some rear passengers complaining of being too cold many times.
I miss that A/C till date cuz the recent model cars I've used don't have that kind of A/C that fogs my windows even on a sunny day.
