How can a governor be using only four members of HOA to run the state, pass budget and other bills, and ostracize the other 27 elected members?
It is not right
We can’t be letting impunity have its way all the time
The Governor is the one who should reconsider his position
That is because they defected to another party and lost their seats according to the constitution.

Bulaba also experienced the same treatment when he was still a governor of Lagos State in the hands of OBJ & I'm sure he understands how it feels like to run a state without federal allocation.

Now he wants to give Gov. Siminilayi Fubara the same treatment because of his 2nd term ambition.
The werey wants to withhold allocation from the region where about 70 percent of the country's revenue is coming from.
OK na.

Painful ipob spotted. Kill yourself for political happenings that don't have bearing to your low life. Nzogbu nzogbu people. I didn't support Fubara to turn to a boy to Wike but he should have followed president Tinubu intervention. Wike has longtime penetrated the judiciary, thanks to the Odilli's. Before Fighting Wike, he should have considered a lot. Who do Fubara knows. He was just a civil servant before becoming governor. If he were to be a politician like Magnus Abe and others, Wike will not have the upperhand cos those guys has contact too and can quickly read the outcome of their steps. you don't built contact overnight, no matter your money or position.

Politics › Re: Fubara Has Lost The Political Battle In Rivers State (A Critical Analysis) by kingbee90:
SendoSendal:
This is a critical analysis of the ongoing political debacle in Rivers State.

1. When the substantive suit of the defection of the law makers eventually gets to the Supreme Court, it will be discarded. The burden of proof is always a tough nut to Crack. APC has denied having the membership of the lawmakers. Once the transfer of their membership cannot be established, every other factor is an academic exercise. Forget about the public display of APC flag and all those rhetorics. Once their records cannot be confirmed in the membership register of APC at ward level, the whole legal gymnastics become mere academic exercises.

The burden of proof is always difficult to work out. Despite all the public outcry about Tinubu's drug case, fake certificates e.t.c, the petitioners could not execute the burden of proof and the cases were thrown out like piece of sheet at the Supreme Court. That is exactly what will happen in the case of the defection of the 27 law makers, except anyone just want to deceive himself or make themselves happy.

2. Fubara should be ready to trade-off. He got to the seat as a product of political tradeoffs. You can't have everything. People and negotiations were involved in the process that made him Governor. He can't discard them and want to enjoy the spoils of war alone. Its treachery. Let's not pretend to be idealists. We all know how the political ecosystem works in Nigeria. its a give and take system. Some people gave something, for him to take the governorship seat.

3. After few days of grandstanding, Fubara will mellow down and do exactly what the Supreme Court has ordered. He does not have any choice. He will have to work with the State House of Assembly. He needs them, as much as they need him.

4. If he refuses, the House of Assembly can impeach him. The Chief Judge of the state won't be able to do anything to help him. Disobeying Supreme Court judgment is an established ground for impeachment anywhere in the world. If his friend, the Chief Judge, set a 7-Man Panel, and they deem Fubara innocent, they will be clashing against the pronouncement of the Supreme Court. The Chief Judge will not desire to put his entire career and life-service on the line to serve Fubara's interest. When the chips are down, the Chief Judge will save his own head first

5. There is no way out of this for Governor Fubara. He just have to obey the judgment of the Supreme Court

6. I just hope he is getting the right advise. He shouldn't allow himself to be mislead. If he goes down, he would go down alone
You and your Agbado analysis.
Your No. 2 point on the rubbish you wrote is where I have an issue with.
Since yesterday, I have noticed that all APC Chieftains have been advicing Gov Sim for a trade-off.
If you folks have the power to finish Sim Fubara Pata Pata, why not proceed to finish him off? Why are you asking him to trade something to gain something?

Look, the actual defection case of the 27 committee of friends may linger till or beyond 2027.
To hell with federal allocation, Rivers State is a very rich state and can survive with it's IGR.
If Tinubu as a governor of Lagos State could function without federal allocation during his battle with OBJ, Sim Fubara can also do it.
As for impeachment, that's not possible. who even told you the chief judge will not want to put his career down for Fubara?
Do you know shit about their relationship?

As for the LGA chairmen, even if the 27 committee of friends decide to conduct an LGA election, Riesec will still be the body to conduct the election and that's a victory for the governor.

All these Oshodi bridge political analysts sef.

It's funny to see a WOMAN advocating for violence against an INNOCENT man.

But it's even funnier to see Russia and USA 69-ing each other in public.

Trump, Vance, a former Russian President and a USELESS journalist GANGED UP against Zelensky.

They tried to BULLY him BUT they FAILED!

Trump told him to "make a deal".
What deal?

People have been claiming that Trump is a COMPLETE idiot.
And Trump makes it real hard not ro believe them.

He talks about a peace deal. But the deal is basically giving Putin EVERYTHING he wants and allowing the US to PILLAGE the leftovers.

There is NOTHING for Ukraine in the deal.

The deal is just to allow Putin to hold on to Ukrainian territory without the fear of Ukraine fighting back.

Trump just wants Ukraine to stop fighting back.

Zelensky asked him what's in it for Ukraine?
Russia already VIOLATED a peace deal that was brokered in 2019.

Zelensky asked him what is the GUARANTEE that he wouldn't violate a new one?

The FELON couldn't provide an answer.

Putin ATTACKED Ukraine.
Now Putin, Trump, Vance and their lackeys BLAME Ukraine for it.

That's like INTENTIONALLY setting your house on fire and blaming the house for being flammable.

It's MADNESS!

Europe, and the rest of the world, need to STOP dealing with the US or according them ANY respect in international discourses.

I don't get why their leaders still feel the need to visit Trump. He's a CRIMINAL who's president because Americans FAILED.

NEVER give him legitimacy.

Europe once colonised MOST of the known world. They need to rediscover that greatness.

They NEED to stop being timid in the way they deal with MALICIOUS people.

They need to be MORE proactive. They should start SANCTIONING the US. And REDUCING the influence that the US exerts on international bodies.

There is NO country or a coalition of countries that would go to war with Europe and emerge UNSCATHED.

If US and Russia wants war, Europe (and the rest of the world) should give it to them.

Trump is already threatening Zelensky (and the world, really) with World War 3.

There is ZERO reason to try placating them.
Placation NEVER works with bullies. Only RETALIATION.

Give them that!

MORONS think the US would remain untouched in a World War.
Time to DISPEL their delusions.
Have you ever stepped your smelling feet into the United States?
Go to quorum and other American Blogs you will see so many Americans commending Trump and are happy & pleased with their choice by voting him for president even the democrats.
Why not focus on your druggie president who has inflicted hardship on you and who is also a disgrace to Nigeria and the world at large.

RandDigital:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ys4iZJnuJDM?si=XR4NcxQ2iZ0uBQEf

Whether she is in custody or out on bail, the fact remains she in the country illegally. These were the assertions by magistrate Sadiqah Guendouz, who on Wednesday granted Chidimma Adetshina's mother, Anabela Rungo, 10,000 rands bail (810,000 naira).

Rungo faces charges related to flouting the Immigration Act and Identification Act after she was arrested on February 15 in Summer Greens, Cape Town, where she was living despite her ID being revoked.

She was found to have committed identity fraud to obtain South African citizenship.

Rungo, 46, appeared in the Cape Town magistrate's court for judgment of her bail application and after a long-awaited order, she was tearful and relieved, including family and friends who were in the gallery.

“The South African taxpayer should be wary that holding Ms Rungo in custody while this matter is finalised still means that she will be in SA illegally while this matter is finalised, whether she is in custody or not. It is the South African taxpayer who is responsible for her maintenance — putting the roof over her head and food in her stomach,” said Guendouz.

Earlier on Wednesday, there were delays with the delivery of the judgment as the prosecutor, Jacques du Plessis, wanted magistrate Guendouz to recuse herself from the case, citing bias. However, the state's recusal bid failed.

The state's contentions stem from remarks Guendouz made on Friday when she slammed the state for presenting what she labelled as a “half-baked” case despite having prior knowledge of it.

Guendouz said the state should have been better prepared for the case, as they knew as far back as August 7 2024 when the department of home affairs issued a statement saying there was a prima facie case against the accused. She was responding to the state asking the court for another postponement on Friday, as the prosecutor said he still needed to finalise his closing arguments.

Guendouz didn't take to that request kindly, saying Rungo had already been in custody for a while and the state should have better prepared for the case.

Rungo's attorney Ben Mathewson argued there is no suggestion that Rungo presents a risk of violence or would interfere with the administration of justice or the pending investigation (if any).

Du Plessis argued that Rungo’s release would disturb public order and that she is a flight risk. However, Guendouz said regardless of personal views on what should have to happen to legal or illegal foreign nationals, the courts must take into account such injustices by people who replace apartheid racism with xenophobic racism.

Igbo Mayor video:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JV5gmL5YP0o?si=CgJCUicaMFxnOE3a

The magistrate, however, granted Rungo R10,000 bail, with strict conditions that she:

1. will remain under house arrest and can only leave to attend court or consult a legal representative;
2. is barred from attempting to send any other person to any embassy or consulate, including but not limited to the Mozambique or Nigerian embassy;
3. and is not to apply for any travel documents while the matter is pending but is allowed to visit home affairs should they require her attendance.

The case was postponed to May 8 for further investigation.

“Thank you, Jesus,” Rungo sighed in relief after the court granted her bail.
