CHAPTER 7 PART 1

KING GREGOR P.O.V
****************************
lunch in a wealthy man's family especially that of a king Was supposed to be lively and interesting but it was the other way round here as everyone just ate in an awkward silence,only my heir was eating jovially and that's because he just mastered the fire spell.It's bizarre though as this is the first time lunch will be boring.

With maids moving around serving different dishes,it took no time before the table was full with different varieties of food.

I helped myself with baked bean and potato mesh and it was surprising that everyone served the same for themselves even the small three years old Nina was pointing at my food which signifies that she wants the same.


Adrianna helped her dished out a small quantity to her plate and she began eating.

As I was eating,i caught Azura,my loving wife taking glances at me or let me say we were taking glances at eachother.People might be calling me the dark lord or whatsoever but that doesn't make me void of emotions as I love my family dearly.

I still remember how I met Azura.I was still in my early twenties then when I visited this kingdom with my best friend hoping to sell our seasonal harvest at a good price. I and the bastard Sebastian were out displaying our fresh corns, big red apples and other stuff when she came.

Dressed in a white gown and with her hair packed in a braided style,she looked astonishing,but what made her more beautiful was her glorious lips.Everyone's lips in Nissin was pink coloured but hers was amazingly red.She was so much beautiful for a lady of average height.

She requested for apples in which I sold the apples to her without demanding for any coins. She was grateful and thanked me and since then she had been coming to buy apples from me every month.

We grew fond of each other ever since then and we later got married as soon as I became the king and she blessed me with three kids.A twin(fourteen years old Adrian and Adrianna) and also a Three years old Nina.


"So dad, when are we going to begin the portal making training?" Adrian asked between mouthfuls.

I didn't even have time to reply him as her twin sister replied him.

"Remember,master Kraine told us it's bad to talk while eating" Adrianna replied him.

"Am already through with my food and I guess you should stop poke-nosing. It's not as if you're the one the question is directed to" Adrian said looking straight at her twin sister.

Adrianna was about to reply but was silenced by their mum.

"It's okay kids, no more talks from you" she warned in her soothing and angelic voice.

"Okay mum" they both replied.

"Well to your question,the training begins as soon as am done with my food here" I said looking at my heir.

"Same thing applies to you honey"Azura said practically joking.

"ohhhhhhhhhhhhh" I giggled wiping my mouth with the tissues provided by the maids.

A guard entered wearing a bronze colored hooded armor with the symbol of my kingdom drawn on the chest of his armor. A large sword drawn in a circle and the words "KINGDOM OF CARUBAN" boldly written in a circular form around the sword.


"What news do you bring forth Albert" I asked.

He knelt beside me and bowed.

"Your majesty,King Loren is waiting for you in the guest court."

"Is that all"

"No,Your highness.Commander Viguel and his team are back from the search you ordered" he said.

"did they bring any captive" I asked.

"No your highness" he replied.

"WHAT DO YOU MEAN NO"

"TELL THEM TO WAIT FOR ME IN THE SIPHON COURT.

"Yes, Your majesty" he said before scurrying away.

CHAPTER 6
Commander Viguel P.O.V
************************** Carrying out the king's order, I assembled a team of five archers, twelve swordsmen and three magicians making a total of twenty-one including me.

Outside the gate of the palace, I began filling the team in about the place we are visiting or rather storming.

"What's the plan sir?" Zira a skilled female archer had asked.

Nice question.You archers should stay on top of trees as where we are heading to is full of trees. Am quite sure you all know the wander woods in Groovebane.

"Yes sir" they all chorused or so I thought they all did..

"No,i don't"

I turned to my left to see who had uttered that and found out it was the same Zira that had asked the question earlier.

"All my life,i have never been out of this kingdom. The few places I know of is Nefrin town, Kiane town and....


"Shut up and stop blabbing. When did I say that Groovebane is out of this kingdom?. All you need to focus on is that the house we are visiting is surrounded by bushes and tall trees. Now listen as I fill you in about the plans and formations.


"Am sorry sir" She said with a slight bow.

You archers stay on top of trees and watch for any signs while I lead six of the swordsmen to attack directly from the rear and the other six should attack from the back.One magician will stay with me and the other two should stay with the other swordsmen team.

"Thomas!!"

"Sir"

"You should lead the other team" I said.

"Yes sir" the brown haired warrior replied.

"Good.So magicians, let's be on our way" I said motioning to Tinzel, Lucas, and Saran.

They stepped forward and started moving their hands in unison as blue lines emerged.

"RAKUS VANUSH VANUSH!!!" they all chorused.

And then a blue hollow circle appeared and everyone including me went in.

We emerged at a distance close to the house and I began ushering my team to their various positions.

"Archers to your positions"

In one swift motion, Zira and her fellow archers crept silently and began climbing suitable trees laying ambush for the enemy.

I called on my own six swordsmen team with Saran as the team's magician.

Now,Tinzel and Lucas will teleport the other team directly to the back of the house while Saran stay with me.

In no time, the team was a teleported leaving behind me and my team.

"You two should flank them at both side" I said pointing to Zulu and Jason.

"Yes sir" They replied before Zulu moved on the left direction and Jason to the right.

"Perfect, let's move guys" I motioned to the other four swordsmen left.

Moving in the most silent and fast pace ever, we got to the front of the house and I began gesticulating with my fingers.It's gonna be good if we catch our enemy unaware and am glad they all know what each finger meant.


Raising my smallest finger and thumb up,two men went to both left and right of the door.

Counting with my fingers , 5..............4............3.............2............1.............0.

I gave the door a heavy kick sending it ajar.I did a forward roll into the house and others followed suit.


And then we began searching for our culprit. I personally went to the rooms, kitchen and everywhere but all effort was futile. I guess they had fled the house.

Looking around the sitting room, I saw a sword hanged beside a grandfather clock.I took it and examined it,nothing out of the contrary but i took it with me anyway as the king should be able to figure out something with it.

"Saran, sensed anything so far?" I asked the magician.


"No sir, it's amazing they left with their tracks hidden.

"tracks?"

"Yes sir, I mean their scents and auras they did well in covering them. I even tried tracking them with some stuffs I saw in the kitchen but it proved abortive. It's obvious this house is enchanted and anyone who is capable of doing that must be a powerful magician.

"Really"

"Yes sir, only powerful magicians have the power of enchanting."

"Well then, I think we lost them this time. Sound the whistle"

He did as I've instructed and we went outside to see others.

"Anything from you guys?" I asked.

"No sir" they all replied.

"SET THE HOUSE ABLAZE" I commanded.

Tinzel, Lucas and Saran began their move, it was as if they have been waiting for the order.

"EVA INTELLEPTI EN LIGHTE!!!"

two balls of fire appeared each on the hands of the magicians and before I knew it the house was on fire.

"Nice, let's go home"

DAVID P.O.V
****************************
our house was on fire and it was already halfway burnt.

I stood transfixed at my position. My body was numb, couldn't think of anything else than Peace, mum and dad.Every nerve in my body was temporarily shut down. it took me some minutes before it registered to me that I have to put off the fire.


I started running like a wild dog, that kind of run that even the best runner in Nissin will get jealous of. In no time, I was already in front of our house and was looking for water to quench the blazing fire.

I searched everywhere for water but my search was futile.

And then I remembered, the old man says am the chosen one right??.i should be able to do something.

I tried everything I can to
bring out water but nothing happened.


This was the time I needed my magic most and I just can't bring out anything and the old man is calling me the chosen one.


Screw him and his goatee beard.

I slumped to the ground when all my effort to perform magic failed. Had no choice than to wait till the fire subsides down.

And then I saw the fire subsiding. I stood up to see where the water quenching the fire came from and later realized it was from the old man. How he got here, I don't even know.

Springs of water was shooting from his fingers and he was spraying the house till the house was no longer burning.

I hurriedly went inside.

the old man came inside and went to one corner of our sitting room and rolled off the now burnt rug.

To my utmost surprise, he pulled the up the wooden floor and everyone came out.

CHAPTER 5

KING GREGOR P. O. V
**************************
The meeting ended an hour later and I got up from my golden seat or rather throne. Every other king in the house stood up as a sign of respect. It's pretty obvious that other kings fear me.

But why?

Maybe because am the only magical king as others are just skilled in swordsmanship or because of the way I earned the title as a king or because of the way I became a dark magician. Either way, they should be scared because they are aware I can blast them to Edom with just a snap of my finger.


Inside the hall, I was made to sit on the largest throne which was carved from pure gold while other thrones are slightly large and made from silver. My throne was located at the top and other's are lined up in a row by my left and right. Eight silver throne on each side. Most kings call me the dark lord, some even refer to me as king of all kings. Well I enjoyed them calling me the names though.

I walked out of the hall with other kings trailing behind.

On getting outside,i was greeted by the cool breeze that swept my hair backwards.

I was about to open my portal to go to my kingdom when I heard a voice from
behind.

"Your highness, I see Geza is not among the Griffins chained to the rocks".


I turned and I saw it was king Loren of Necoban kingdom who had spoken.


"so sharp of you to have noticed that king Loren " I replied.

"Would you like to take a ride with me" king Loren asked.

"don't bother yourself king Loren, I came here alone and an going back alone, thanks for the offer though "

And with that, I stretched my hand forward as blue streak of lines emerged.

RAKUS VANUSH VANUSH!!!!!!

a portal appeared and I went into it but not before biding the king farewell.

I emerged in front of my palace and I was greeted by four of my guards.


"Welcome back your majesty" they chorused in perfect unison,bowing down.

I gave them a nod in response as I walked past them with two of the guards opening the large gate for me.


My palace,being the largest of all palaces was located at the center of Caruban and with the largeness of a city.

It was built 24years ago when I was still 16 .The palace has 50 rooms, 5 kingship courts, 3 army camps and various training fields.

It's still amazing that I rule the kingdom of Caruban. Just 2 years ago I was a commoner but here I am being address KING GREGOR OF CARUBAN KINGDOM.

"Your highness, commander Viguel is waiting for you in the guest court" announced one of the guards walking behind me.

"What news did he have for me" I asked.

"News about the search of the boy named Aric Shane "

"Alright then " I said entering into the guest court.

"Welcome your highness" commander Viguel greeted with a bow.

Dressed in his usual silver armour and with his two swords on. One belted to the waist and one strapped to the back.

"Spill the news" I demanded sitting on my throne.

Your highness, we've conducted the search as you've instructed and we now have a lead. A blacksmith carved two swords with the name "Aric Shane" inscribed on the swords. We knew this because he told us himself when we announced that anyone to tell us where Aric Shane lives will receive a price from the king.


"Continue "


So we asked him who he carved the swords for and he said it was one man named Sebastian that lives in Groovebane near the wander woods. So we took action by spying on the man's house and found out that the house was the only built building in the wander woods. Just as if the man is hiding. We took a picture of the house, here it is your highness.


He stood up from his bowing position and and handed it to me.


I stared at the house in the picture for a while....


"So what are you waiting for?" I asked


"we just want to give you the.... "

"STORM THE HOUSE NOW!!!!!!!!!!!!"

DAVID P.O.V
"Who are you" I asked drawing my blades.

"Concern yourself not with who I am but rather with what I am"

"What are you then?"
"A magician " was simply the old man's reply.

"yeah am aware of that " I said.

"What do you want? " the old man asked in his usual hoarse voice.

"I need answers "

"To what"

"To what has been happening to me"


Well Aric, there was a prophecy long ago that Nissin will be in a state of chaos and mass murder but a boy will rise to save the world.

"You're not making sense old man" I said.
"and why do you keep calling me Aric" I asked.

"There's much you don't know boy " he said moving closer,his goatee beard now very visible.

"Sit and let me explain things to you Aric. "

I did as he instructed

He pulled his hood down and I can now visualize his wrinkles full face.

He looked up to the sky and as if reciting incantation from the clouds began saying.

"In the book of Nekromanial prophecy, Thou was written that the world will be turned upside down as there will be killing and bloodshed but a boy with great embodiment of light magic will rise to save Nissin from evil beings and creatures. The boy will have green eyes, he will be birthed by a king and his twin brother will be killed during Infancy.

The old man looked back at me and his eyes was glowing white, no black stuff in his eyes.Just white.

"YOU ARE THE CHOSEN ONE, ARIC SHANE".

His eyes went to normal as he finished that last statement.

"You are the chosen one" he repeated.

"If I can think well, the prophecy says the boy will be a twin and will be given birth to by a king.Am not a twin neither is my dad a king".

"That is because you are not the one they told you that you are" he said.

"they?"

"Enough of your questions "

And with that the old man vanished into thin air.

I began jogging home with my head full of many thoughts. I just can't think straight. I wanna rest my brain.

Half way, I began having the smell of something.

I fastened my pace and emerged from the woods.looking at our house from afar,what I saw
shocked me to the marrow. ********************************** end of chapter 5.

CHAPTER 4
DAVID P.O.V

I got out of the bedroom with only my towel on and I began walking to my room.Dad and mum was back in the initial position I first saw them but mum seems to stop talking as soon as she saw me.



'Hey mum, what's with the face?' I asked.


"Nothing boy, thought you wannna to say some naughty things again" she replied.


"not at all,though I must admit it's still smelling but you should put on that face more often. You look more beautiful with that face on.

"yeah,david's right" dad added.



'That confirms it' I said looking at my already blushing mum.

'gotta go mum, catch ya two later'.


I didnt wait for her reply as I continue walking to my room.



Climbing the stairs, I can't help but notice dad.He is not in a good mood today or perhaps maybe he is just stressed out.



I brushed the thought aside as I got to my room. Peace was already lying on my bed and with her bow and quiver placed beside my bed.


"That's your food over there" she said pointing to a covered plate on my cupboard.


"what's in there" I asked.

"Waffles with bacon cake" she said sounding sleepy.


"thanks so much but I don't think it's okay for you to sleep in my room



"Of course am not sleeping here,i will be waiting for you outside the house" she retorted standing up and going for the door handle.


"waiting for me"? I asked.

"yeah for a sparring match big brotherrrrrrr" she stressed the 'brother' as if she is mocking me.



"that's good but I will advice you to be at your best" I replied.


'gbaaaaam'was the sound made as the door was slammed shut signifying her exit.


That was damn hard man.


I got down to my food and the food was devoured in no time.


Standing up, I walked to the mirror hung at the far end corner of my room.



I brushed my hair aside and wore my clothes. A pair of dark trousers and a green shirt with white stripes matched with a gray boot.



Opening my cupboard,i brought out the two swords dad had gotten for me when I did my last birthday.I removed the swords from their scabbards and I began examining them. They were both silver blades,both long and tiny. I so much love tiny blades. On the first blade,the word 'Aric'was written on it and 'Shane' was scribbled on the other one.

Aric Shane.


I guess that's the name of the blacksmith behind this job though I can say the name felt familiar.


Putting them back into their scabbards and strapping them to my backs,the swords form the letter 'X'.

and with that I stormed out of the room.

ANONYMOUS P.O.V
A gust of wind smashed on my face reeling my hair backwards as I stepped out of the portal.

The place of the meeting had been mount Hozun over the years. Mount Hozun,being the highest mountain in Nissin was the desired place by kings in which the kings meeting should be held.


A large golden hall was built at the peak of the mountain and it took seven years for the hall of the meeting to be completed. It was built by the earliest magicians though and I must say they did an excellent job for the wonderful hall they had built with the word 'THE KINGS CASTLE' scribbled at the top of it.


Outside the hall, Griffins numbering sixteen are chained to rocks as it would have been other kings means of transportation. The Griffins are wild beasts having the body of a lion but have the head and wings of eagles enabling them to fly. They must have done a great job flying up to mount Hozun which is as tall as 52 storey buildings if accurately estimated.




I should have travelled with Geza ,my own Griffin but I thought it's gonna be good if I give other kings a taste of my magic.


Judging by the number of Griffins,i guess am the one everyone's waiting for as there are only 17 kingdoms in Nissin. I do hear of other realms being in existence but such can only be believed by me only when I can visualize it.

DAVID P.O.V
"damn you david" peace cursed

We've sparred nine times and she managed just to get a hit and now we are moving to the last round.


I readied my dual swords and I zoned into Concentration mode.

Peace had dad's sword also readied in her right hand as we began circling around each other.

Our boots stamping the floor was the only sound heard as everywhere was dead silent.



And then she charged, swinging her sword ferociously. Her eyes shone anger mixed with aggression.

I was just dodging,side-stepping,weaving and parrying her blows easily which made her angrier..


Her anger is making her not to think of any strategy as she kept on slashing at me wildly.


"Anger is nothing in battle peace. it's like a blindfold not allowing you to think. You must be able to bend your anger to your will.Don't let it control you" I said dodging an uppercut threatening to blow my head off.


'shut up dickhead ' was her reply.


Let me just end this.


And with that she thrust her sword forward direct at my heart(killing moves).I waited until the sword was inches away from my heart before I side stepped making her lose balance,making use of the opportunity,i kicked her behind her knees which sent her bending on a knee and I placed my sword behind the back of her neck


"Yield" I said.

"I surrender" she replied


"nice moves kiddo. you've improved greatly.


'thanks' she replied and went inside.



After she was gone,i decided to go see the old man as I need answers to some questions.



I got to my usual spot,but I saw no one. looked around but still, no one is in sight. Then I decided to go back home. I was about to go when I heard a hoarse voice behind.


"Hello.... looking for me?"

‘knock knock knock ‘
Hello David,you in there? I heard peace ask.
‘Come in sis’.I said.
The wooden door opened and she came in looking at me with a strange expression on her face. she was dressed in a black body hug that stopped above her navel and a tight black trouser that is just a little below the knee,matched with a pair of black boots. Her long black hair was tied in a ponytail style and with a bow and quiver full of arrows strapped to her back, she looked imposing but not to me.We both share the same fair and slightly tanned skin but all the same she is stunningly beautiful.
‘Don’t tell me you are just waking up’
‘It’s obvious I am….. anything bad there?’
‘This is past 12’she screamed.
‘You can’t be serious peace!!!’ I exclaimed as I got up from bed.
‘Well I will be waiting for you outside’
‘For what’
‘For the practice of course’
ohhh, peace about that….i don’t think it can be possible.
‘Why?’ she asked as she sat down beside me on my bed.
Putting my left arm on her shoulder, I leaned in and whispered.
‘Because I don’t know how I did it’
‘Are you serious?’……But how?
I stood up and began explaining.
I was out in the wander woods yesterday during dinner chewing the apples you gave me when an old man approached me.Frankly speaking the man was creepy and scary. He greeted me calling me the chosen one or something of such if I can actually remember but I didn’t reply him as I started running home.
‘is that all’
‘Don’t interrupt me’i snapped.
“Okay” she said sparingly grinning.
I was nearing home when something landed in front of me.
“What’s that”
I shot her a glare.
‘Am sorry….. I forgot’ she quickly apologized.
A box with a letter on it is what I saw.The letter was telling me about how amusing it was for me to run and how I will come back looking for him.
‘Him?’
‘Yes,the old man I replied.
‘And the box?’
‘that’s it’ I replied with my finger pointing the box on my cupboard which is beside her.
‘And how did that happen to correlate with the archery practice?’
Am not through baby doll.
I took the box and I started my journey towards home and then I remembered that I was late and you know what dad made me do the other time I came late.
Of course.Who wouldn’t remember that.. Headstand for a whole day
‘That’s good’
So I was just thinking that it would be easy for me to get inside if I was invisible and to my utmost surprise I became invisible.
‘What the hell!!!!!!’
Am serious Peace, the same thing happened when you gave me the bow.I was engulfed by a strange feeling,one that I have never felt before and my hands started acting on their own accord.
‘Does that mean you can be invisible now’ she asked.
‘No’ I replied. I don’t even know how I did it.

PEACE P.O.V
I took the box and placed it on my palm, examining the medium-sized box.It was smooth and rectangular with no place for opening or closing. It was just smooth with some lines at the top.
‘And how do you open this?’
‘Yet to figure out’ he replied with a shrug.
“I wanna go freshen up peace” I heard him say before he grabbed his toothbrush, towel and some other stuffs and he was out slamming the door shut.
I dropped the box when all my effort to open it was futile.Placing it back on the cupboard,i decided to go get the dickhead his breakfast.

DAVID P.O.V
I met mum and dad on my way to the bathroom.
Dad was seated on a three-sitter cushion chair with mum lying down and placing her head on dad’s lap. It seems they are discussing as dad was stroking her hair.
“Lovers mode on” I guess.
“Morning dad” I greeted.
So,it’s only dad you can see here right? and we are in the afternoon not morning okay?
‘Okay mum’
‘But what’s smelling?’ I asked.
‘Smelling? he said looking at mum
‘Like what?’ He asked again this time looking at me.
‘Like love’i replied.
Mum sprang to her feet and started chasing me around the sitting room.
You this sarcastic, sarky, snarky boy.
I was laughing as she was giving me a hot chase. I kept on running in circles and she was very close with a broom in her hand. I don’t even know how she quickly got that.
Just then I saw another figure joining in the chase.
Oh no, peace had joined.
Dad was just laughing at us.
Peace was running at me from behind and mum was coming from the rear with the broom readied in her hand.
“Nowhere to go,you are trapped son” Dad had said.
At the last moment I dived to my side getting out of the way.
Since my move wasn’t expected, mum and peace collided with each other falling simultaneously.
Peace was the first to recover and she came running at me again this time ferociously like that of a beast ready to pounce on its prey.
Sensing the signal I ran into the bathroom locking the door behind.

SEBASTIAN P.O.V
Its just amusing to see everyone in the family happy and laughing. I can’t help but laugh as peace and Rachel collided and with peace standing up to chase David again.
Rachel stood up dusting her orange-coloured flowing mini gown.
“that boy wants me dead” she said practically smiling.
“well,i guess he spoke the truth.i can smell love in the air too” I said laughing and she joined in the laughter.
“You know Rachel,i was wondering when you will tell him who his real father is.
‘shhhhhhhhhhhhhh’she moved to my side shutting me up.
“Anyone might be listening seb” she said.
“David is in the bathroom and peace just carried David’s food to his room,so no one is listening” I replied.
He is now 15years old Rachel, you should tell him.
I just can’t bring myself to tell him that his real father is Gregor and that his real name is not David.
I mean how will it sound telling him that his dad his KING GREGOR ALARIC SHANE and that his real name is ARIC SHANE.
you should do before its too late or rather before he finds out himself. *************************************

CHAPTER 2
I sprang up to my feet and took to my heels without  glancing  back. The old man is the creepiest being have ever seen. With his cloak and hood on,the only  visible  feature in him is his white goatee beard which is  very long.

I stopped  dead in  my tracks as something  landed in front of me. A kind of box with a letter on it. I bent and picked up the box,with the letter going thus

Hello,chosen one.so amazing it is that you had to run, well it's just a matter of time before you will come looking for me. And........ A white goatee beard doesn't make an old man creepy..... You know.

What the hell Nissin is this!!!!!!

Out of the 15 years have spent living in groovebane town, have never encountered stuffs like this. I mean am aware of  magic  being in  existence  through the constant tales told by dad most nights but have never set my eyes on any magician especially  one capable of reading minds.

I stared at the  box I was holding and my curiosity rose but I have to get home first before opening it. So I started  sprinting towards the direction of our medium-sized-rectangular house consisting of  five rooms and a kind of small farmland suitable for  farming.

I continued running until our house came into view and then I slowed down my pace. I got to the front  door and was about  opening it before it registered to me that  I was late. Dad has always wanted me not to  walk in the night because of  reasons best known  to him.

The last time  I came home late,he made me  do headstand for a whole  day. Oh no...... I don't think am ready  for that today.....

"how I wish I can be invisible"

'mtcheeeeeew'i hissed as I felt something biting my  leg and it's kinda scratchy. I bent down to  scratch it and.......................

And with that the door opened and dad came out with his sword readied in his hand.

'what's that noise' he said

He looked around and went back  inside locking the door behind.

Wait.... Didn't he see me?

I sat down at the  verandah and was completely astonished.....he didn't see me.

Am invisible.

I looked down at my hands but couldn't  see anything .

But how will I  get inside, now that  dad has been locked the door.

I braved myself  up and prepared  to knock but as I did my hand went through the  door like water.

I removed my  hand immediately  because I don't know where I will emerge if I  went right through in.

Summoning the courage I went right through  in and I emerged inside the house. Guess everyone is  asleep.

I quietly snuck up to my room as creepily as I can.

Closing door silently,i sank into my bed exhausted  and with the  box in my hand. I place the box on my cupboard  and was about to  take my clothes off  before I  started feeling dizzy and the  world around me was thrown into a deep darkness.

PEACE P.O.V
Cooking...... Done and dusted
Sweeping.... Done and dusted
Doing the dishes...... Done and dusted

That's  it. Am through  with my  chores. Next is my archery practice.

I walked across the time and took a glance at the grandfather  clock  hanging  loosely on the  wall.

'past 12' time waits for no woman indeed.

Gotta go practice.

A big thanks to the  king for the electricity he provided. Rumours have it that the king is a very powerful sorcerer what has no amount of  mundanity in him.

Well I don't believe rumours. Not all rumours are true though.

I got to  work and began training by marking a particular  spot  on a dummy and will start firing my arrows.

I got most of the  hit though as I've trained myself and dad has helped a lot.

After that I started another  method. I would  throw wooden planks in air and will try to  hit them with my arrows before they landed.

Once again,i was successful. After trying  several moves,i became extremely exhausted. It's time to  sleep.

'hey sis'

I don't have to turn around before I can know  who said that.

DAVID P. O.V
I woke up on the middle of the night with my head pounding  wildly and extremely thirsty.

Standing up, I took off my boots and.... Thank the gods my body is  back from invisible mode.

I sighed with relief as I opened the  door to go get water. In got to the kitchen and gulped down a glass of water in no time. Going for the second second round, I heard noises coming from the training room.

I crept cautiously  toward the direction of the noise and I guessed right.  

I opened the door to the training room  and saw peace.

'hey sis'i greeted.

'hey' she replied  without  looking back.

Where were you  during dinner?

That caught me off-guard...... Damn it.

I....... Ermmmmm. Was doing some push-ups at my usual  spot in the wander woods.

Well dad asked of you  and I had to lie that your sleeping in your room,so I guess you  can do better than lying to  me especially when I  lied for you.

Actually peace, something  weird happened but am not in the mood to  discuss that..... Maybe later.
Cool with that?

"Sure,at least you aren't lying now" she said with a broad smile. A smile that any boy will drool at.

"Show me what you've got " I said


"Hmmmmmmmmnn" as all she said  before  throwing three planks on the air and cutting  them in halves before they landed.

Wow!!!!!! That's spectacularly spectacular. Who taught you that?

'myself' she replied with a slight grin.


'Wanna try' she asked.

"Not good with that you know"

"Just try"

I know  she wouldn't  want to  be turned down this time around.

"Let me have the bow"

As soon as  the bow was handed to me, I got engulfed by a strange aura. It's was just as if the bow was an extension of my hand like as if have been training with the bow for years.

"Waiting....show me what you've got  boy" she taunted

"Give me  two arrows"

And then I fired the arrows in quick successions.
The first arrow landed on a spot and the second one pierced the initial arrow in two equal  halves.

"HOW THE HELL DID YOU DO THAT "

"I don't know  really" I answered sincerely

She was just staring at me  with her mouth agape.

"Will you teach me how to do that"

"Sure I will"

Let's just go sleep and with that we went to bed.

CHAPTER 1
Clang'

'Clang'

'Swoooosh' was the sound made as i parried a blow aimed at my torso and then suddenly my eye caught another sword coming down at me which i countered with my own sword forming the letter 'X' and facing the dark eyes of my father.

Using the momentum, he pushed me backwards and the next thing I saw was two kicks coming straight down unto my chest, in one swift motion, I rolled under the attack coming face to face with my dad.

'Nice move' He said.

I didn't even have the time to reply before he strucked again with his two swords,slashing in perfect synchronicity in which i blocked, parried and weaved.

I can't help but wonder how this man became the fierce warrior he is.All these years,it has always been him on the offensive and me on the defensive.He could have been a more fierce warrior if he was a magic wielder but unfortunately he isn't.But as he is, he's still one of the best fighters in Nissin.

'Don't let your mind sway away while battling boy'.I heard him say and just then he feigned an attack to my right and at the last moment he dived to my left and attacked which i blocked with my sword but the power of the attack knocked my sword out of my grasp.

Without even allowing me to think, he jumped and landed two kicks in quick successions of which i gracefully received with my chest sending me flying backwards and crashing my back against a dummy in the training room and I was sent into a frenzy of fresh coughs as I tried to steady my breath.

'Daviddddddddddddddddddd'. I heard mum screaming and running in my direction.
'Are you okay?' she asked as she got to my side. I just nodded in reply to her question.She turned and started yelling at dad.
'You could have kill him right there' "Sebastian"
Isn't this too much for a 15years old boy?
He just did his birthday few days ago and you went on kicking him that way.

My dad was just watching with an amused grin on his face as he was walking towards me.

'Take this and go freshen up boy' he said in his usual gruff voice and with that he stomped out of the room with mum trailing behind him.

I picked myself up and wiped the sweat forming on my forehead with the face towel he gave me. It's just so amusing that I can't beat dad out of the five years we've been sparring. It has been an unachievable feat right from when I was ten. We spar every saturdays and I have never for once beat him.sometimes I will train extra hard just to beat him but it is always futile.

And mum was right I just did my birthday few days ago and bizarre things have been happening to me. I mean really real bizarre things. Stuff like seeing things before they happen, and

'Gbaaaaam' I snapped out of my thoughts as I turned to see the dummy I had crashed against earlier fall.

'hmmmmmmmn' I sighed before walking out of the training room. On my way I heard dad telling mum that he is trying to build me to be a great fighter and a good man.

Well I understand that he is just trying to train me to be the brave fighter I was born to be and I really appreciate that because it's making get stronger each day.

I got into my room and headed into the bathroom for a shower.

15 minutes later.

I emerged from the bathroom with only a towel on and I was standing face to face with the only standing mirror in my room.

I took a good look at myself. Looking at my dark and curly hair, a pair of sea-green eyes, perfectly shaped jaw and a six pack already forming.What amuse me most is the colour my eyes.Got them neither from my mum nor my dad.

'David' I heard mum calling me.
'Yes mum' I screamed.
'Peace is back' she screamed back.

Wow! Wow! Wow!my sweet younger sister is back. I quickly slip on my shirt, a pair of black trousers and a matching black boot before running to meet my sister. Really missed her just for the little time she used to go get foodstuff for the family.

I entered into the living room where I saw her bringing out all the foodstuff she got from the market. As soon as she saw me, she ran and gave me an unexpected hug,i can't help but take in her orange mint smell of. Mum and dad was just looking at us like some alien.

'I missed you david' she said as she released me.

'Missed you too sweet pea' I replied. So what do you bring.... I had to swallow the words as three apples was sent flying to my direction which I caught easily.
Oh gosh...... I love apples

"Thank you Peace" I said before storming out of the house into the wander woods. A forest like place situated near our house but have taking a great interest in the place because of the peaceful and fresh air that soothes your skin. I took out the apples I began crushing them with my strong teeth.

She is such an intelligent sister to have known that apple is my favorite food.We have our occasional ups and downs though but she is still the best sis ever. Being a year older than her, have grown to look unto her not as my younger sister but as my agemate.

I was on the third apple when I started feeling uneasy,goosebumps appearing on my skin and i was engulfed by a feeling of being watched.just then I saw an old man appear and sat down next to me and the next thing I heard was

Hello guys.......... Having being a regular  reader for close to  like 2 years,i guess am deemed fit to put down my own collection of  crazy creativity and  imagination....
