When I discovered she was reasoning with me, I proceeded to tell her that it was okay to be upset and frustrated, and that she could even vent her anger by misbehaving, acting like a prodigal child, and doing all sorts of things until she felt satisfied. But she should not claim there is no God when it is obvious to her that there is God. This is how I succeeded in reversing her decision.

The above question has made a lot of people give up or even lost faith when it comes to prayer.

One major reason a lot of things are messed up in our society is because many christians normally 'put the cart before the horse', which makes them have terrible results in life. The way out? Kindly read the following:

The emphasis of the Spirit is revealed in 1Timothy 2:1-4 on thepriority in Prayer:

1Timothy 2:1-4
1 I exhort therefore, that, first of all, supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks, be made for all men;
2 For kings, and for all that are in authority; that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and honesty.
3 For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Saviour;
4 Who will have all men to be saved, and to come unto the knowledge of the truth.

EXPLANATION:
The Church seems not to have given the due attention this clear pattern, and the resultant blessings have eluded Nations of Men. Many have desired the results of a “quiet and peaceable, in all godliness and honesty” without following the pattern or praying in the manner that would produce the results!

Verses 1-2 instructs that “first of all, supplications, prayers, intercessions and giving of thanks be made for all men, for kings and for all that in authority…”

This is the priority….”first of all”, so this comes before any personal or selfish request or ambitions in prayer! Take care of this first!

And Verse 2 continues “….that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and honesty”. This would be the necessary results! It is cause and effect. You don’t pray for the
effect, you enable the cause, the effect is the result.

So as a Christian, this is your priority in prayer, and you will be functioning in accuracy as desired by the Holy Spirit.
Here are 4 straightforward prayers you can use as a guide to praying with this pattern:

a. Pray for all men, declaring that this is the day of salvation and grace, so we break the hold of satan from their lives. Acts 26.18; 2 Corinthians 6.2 declares that we’re in God’s acceptable time and day of Salvation.

b. Pray that the Lord of the Harvest will send forth laborers into the harvest fields of leaders of nations. Luke 10.1-3

c. Pray that God will change the hearts of leaders from foolishness and deception to wisdom and truth. He’s able to do it, and will when we pray. Proverbs 21.1

d. Pray to overthrow the work of ungodly men who fill the world with poverty, violence and death, keeping men from experiencing the goodness of the Lord that fills the earth.
Psalm 33.5; 2 Corinthians 10.4

Please know for sure that God is the reason you are still alive and the devil has not destroyed you the way he (the devil wanted) yet

Picture this:
Imagine a landlord built a block of flats and rented them out to tenants. Tenancy agreement has it that the landlord has no operating right in the rented house except the tenants invite him.

Now this is similar to God and mankind. God rented the Earth to humans for a season, reason the earth is in the sorry state it is.

Fortunately, just as the tenant can invite the landlord to do some repairs in the building, man (you) can invite God into his (your) life, society, community, country etc to cause changes/ intervene VIA PRAYER. Important to note is the fact that the rules of prayer Must be followed to have the desired results.
